Courteous about calling before he arrived.

Purchased coupon for repair of one large appliance. Scheduling was easy and responsive, but had to wait between 10 AM and 4 PM for service call. Repair person called at 3:15 PM saying he'd be there in half an hour. He was pleasant and professional, but ridiculous that no one at Wooten could narrow the window for the time of the appointment or let me know that I was toward the end of the list for the day. No repair, just cost of saying that the motor needs to be replaced. Would cost approximately $500 to repair it, plus the $139 already paid for Wooten to make me wait all day. Ad is misleading. The language on Angie's list is very misleading. No repairs. Should just say "Cost of diagnosis. No repairs". And, there are much less expensive options if this is the case.

This is a difficult review to write because even after three visits our Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher (less than two years old) is STILL not draining properly. That said, I do think Daryl tried his best, he had a friendly attitude, and he was very honest about the fact that he was quite stumped by our problem. First visit: an assumption was made that the drainage problem might be due to a clogged hose. All hoses were inspected and a small piece of ceramic was removed. Everyone assumed that this had probably been the issue. It wasn't. Second visit: Daryl arrived with a part he'd ordered and repairs were resumed. This attempt also didn't resolve the drainage problem. To his credit Daryl didn't charge us for this visit. Third visit: Another part was acquired and installed in an attempt to get the dishwasher to drain. Again, it didn't resolve the issue. Again, Daryl did not charge us for the visit. While we're certainly not happy to have paid $139 to fix a problem that we're still living with, Daryl was just so good-natured and seemed so honestly perplexed about the issue with our dishwasher that we feel we can't really fault him. He didn't know how to fix it, but he sure did try. When I called the company itself they told us that we needed to hire an 'expert Whirlpool technician.' My solution? I won't be buying any Whirlpool products in the future.

Wooten came out within the same week and gave a quick diagnosis. Recommended a new fridge due cost to fix issue. Very knowledgeable and took time to walk me through the issue. Called ahead to give approximate arrival time.

After several telephone issues, I was able to schedule the initial appointment. The guy came on time. He diagnosed that the water leak was coming from a clogged soap dispenser. He "cleaned" it and within 5 minutes said all was good. He also diagnosed that one of the balancing rods was broken and that the part had to be ordered and installed. A second appointment was scheduled and the repair was completed in about 10 minutes. I was charged $187 for the part and labor. The VERY next time I used the washer, water POURED out of the machine. When I called to questions/complain they said that the water leak was a much bigger problem and the new part would be $225. I responded to the emailed proposal that I would like to discuss the proposal. I have heard nothing. If they had been honest with the initial assessment and told me that the repairs would be ~$425, I wouldn't have approved the $200 balancing rod repair and simply accepted the $100 assessment fee as a loss. Was the misdiagnosis on purpose or just bad quality? Now I have given this company ~$300 and the washer is still broken and headed to the dump. These guys also sell appliances and I made several attempts to discuss a solution. They have not returned my calls or email.

Wooten scheduled a repair visit outside the three afternoons of the following week when I was available. I changed my schedule so I could meet the scheduled 3 hour morning time frame. No one came. No one called. When I called the office they had no idea what was going on. I said the only remaining time I was available was early the next morning. They emailed me with a proposal to come in the afternoon. Clearly, this company does not listen and has no appreciation for its customers and should be used with caution.

Our washing machine broke and although I am an Angie's list member, I went to Yelp to locate an appliance repair company and I was honest when they asked me where I heard about them when I scheduled an appointment. The appointment was a 5 hour window (9a-1p) and of course showed up during the last hour. After spending less than a few minutes diagnosing the problem the repairman asked me for a check for ~$115 as a diagnostic fee. I thought it was excessive for the amount of effort it took to diagnose the problem, but I paid it. Before paying I asked if I could use the $20 off coupon available through Angie's list, he said no because that was off labor but I could use it when he came back for the repair. When he came back to repair it today the cost was $40 more than his oral estimate plus he refused to accept the coupon because we told them we found them on Yelp and not Angie's list. Nowhere on the coupon does it say it only works if you tell them you found them on Angie's list.

My experience was fine. They showed up on time for the appointment. They could have been more thorough in their inspection on the appliances.

We have mixed feelings. They were punctual, but took longer than we wanted to get this addressed and still this is not fixed.

Arrived as promised. Went through checkup - seemed to be thorough. Gave recommendations on continuing care.

Excellent. Prompt, new what he was doing, determined problem & resolution quickly, fixed as soon as part arrived.

They weren't able to do very much, but just like the way they handled the situation, everything and how they treated me, I think they were an "A". They were really good. I think the price was reasonable especially since the person who actually came to the house I guess was the founder of the company. I didn't know until after. He didn't find anything wrong with our dishwasher but he said, "If something is wrong in the future I'll come by for free and check it out for you". I'm sure if there actually was an issue we probably have to pay for it but the inspection will be free. They answered all my calls, all my questions and everything. They are actually pretty responsive. I think when I initially called them, I ended up having to leave a voicemail because they were busy doing something, but within three hours they ended up calling me back. They came when they said they would.

I only have praise for the service from Wooten. It was flawless in all aspects and I highly recommend Wooten Appliance

Professional work, great explanations of problem (user friendly terms), repaired the problem, dishwasher works great!!

The technician called ahead of time to say he was on his way. When the technician came to the house, he diagnosed the washer problem as a broken bearing. The estimated repair (parts and labor) would have been over $400 (per the technician). The technician suggested it may be better to invest in a new washer, rather than put this kind of money into the existing washer (the advise was greatly appreciated). Overall, very satisfied with the service. I would recommend this company to a friend.

The provider walked in looked at my dishwasher and said I can't work on this dishwasher because we don't have the computer needed to assess the problem. Unknown to me this dishwasher is a newer model made by GE that requires a computer which only authorized GE repair companies have). He took the kick plate off looked underneath and put kick plate back on. There was no diagnosis, no work attempted or completed. I also asked him about my disposal..he asked me to get some ice cubes. He put ice cubes in the disposal and turned it on. He said it works fine. At that point he told me I owed him $109.00. When I questioned what I was paying for he said it cost $109.00 for him to knock on my door. I told him I thought that was unfair since nothing was really done but paid it anyway because he looked at my disposal. I called the company as soon as he left and left a message about what occurred and told them If I didn't get a return call I was going to write this up on Angies List. (They never answerthe phone....always have to leave a message and they return the call) **When making the appointment with the company they state specifically a couple go brands they don't service. I told the scheduler what kind of dishwasher I had and she stated that model was one they worked on. In my opinion, the guy knew immediately he could not service this dishwasher....why didn't the scheduler know that? I think a $50 service call would have been fair but having to pay full price when nothing was done is not right. I chose this company because it had an A+ rating on Angies List. I would never use them again.

Took refrigerator apart .Explained everything he was doing and what had happened to result in no cold air going to the refrigerator.

I purchased repair of a major appliance through Angie's at a fixed price of $139 because our dishwasher was broken. The dishwasher no longer got dishes clean at all. The appointment was scheduled through e-mails to the Angie's list website. I found it a bit inconvenient that I couldn't pick up the phone and talk to the provider, but they did not provide a number for me to do that. The appointment had to be changed once and the provider accommodated me. The Wooten repairman came to the house while only my son (age 15) was home to deal with the repair. My son explained the problem and the repairman cleaned a lot of built up soap gunk from inside the machine (where we could not see it) and left it in a bowl for us to see. He told my son that we were using TOO MUCH SOAP and to switch from the tablet-type to a liquid. He didn't add any additional charges or suggest any additional services. Afterwards, the dishwasher worked again. So--all went well.

The technician was knowledgeable, professional, and polite, but the problem with Wooten Appliance was on a follow-up call. I called twice, was directed to voicemail--both times during business hours, and no one called me back. Lack of responsiveness, particularly to an existing customer, is not an acceptable level of service by any measure.

I bought the coupon on the day I needed service for a broken refrigerator. No one from the company contacted me despite my call to them first thing Friday morning. I went the entire weekend without a call and a broken refrigerator / freezer. On Monday morning Wooten Appliance called me and told me they were closed on Friday, although nothing like that was on their answering machine and they said I was out of their area and I could get a refund on the coupon. I called another appliance company in the area and got service the same day.

It was the second time he'd come to our home in less than a month. Our oven broke and I damaged the detergent dispenser in our dishwasher, all within a couple of months. He beat a path to our front door! But did a great job all three times.

He had to come back a couple of times with the right part because it was a older dishwasher. He was timely and great job. I would tell family and friends to be patient but he does excellent work.

I had used Wooten last fall & liked him. So when there was a "deal" on Angie's list, I bought it. Turns out I needed to use it right away. Dryer wasn't working. Disposal was making funny grinding noise. He was great about arranging a time & calling 30 mins ahead so i could come from work to meet him. the "deal" was fixing one appliance & inspecting another. [for about $160 I think--it was July 2014]. luckily he even had the dryer part in his truck--so I paid for that. [he was great--offered me a really cheap work around but given that the dryer wasn't that old, I went with the actual repair and the $40 part.] listened to disposal & asked how long it had been going on. dumped a lot of ice in it & said grinding ice should fix it over time. reassured me that as long as it was grinding things, the noise was not damaging the appliance. I think he's great.

Easy fix. Just charged for service call, not for parts (none) or labor.

I purchased a coupon, but they emailed me that they don't service LG brands and told me to get refund from Angie's List directly.
