Wooten Appliance

I think it worked out well. He actually came out and got it working. Then it had the same problem a few months later. We finally bought a new dishwasher instead. He came shortly after I purchased the big deal. When came out, he got it working by just doing some re-programming. We did not pay more than the $99 big deal. He was out here promptly and he was professional. He did a very good job. It was an old dishwasher and it?s time to get a new one. The price was fine.

I should have called them first to see if they did before purchasing the service.

Amazing - as usual! Expertise - Darryl is a total pro and extremely knowledgeable about all the appliances he has helped me with (Thermidor, Best/Broan, Whirlpool). He is pragmatic, cost-oriented, honest, and a true problem solver. In several instances, he could have easily charged me more for a replacement of a particular part, but each time, he was focused on identifying the specific issue, which he was able to resolve more quickly and at a lower price. He test things meticulously and really listens to your concerns. Service: great communication, easy to schedule via email or over the phone, follow-up was timely and appropriate. Cost: All appliance service providers charge a diagnostic/trip charge to come out and evaluate the issue. Wooten Appliance's is the lowest that I am aware of in this area. His hourly rate and part prices are also very affordable and he has always reocmmended (and implemented) the least cost option.

That was dissatisfying to say the least. After prepaying for him to come out, he looked at the machine and said there wasn’t anything they could do and that I should replace the machine. It took them three days to find out it was going to take another three days for an appointment. I will chalk that up to slowness in their communication and people not following things up as promptly as one would like. That is not great but I can live with that, but they came out there and analyzed the machine but they fixed nothing.

The service was fine. There was an additional $50 charge to the $139 Big Deal and then parts. I realized my dishwasher was under warranty so I actually had it repaired by the warranty servicer.

No problems with the company as they were responsive and professional. Unfortunately, I am outside of their service area

We will certainly hire Wooten Appliance in the future! Darryl was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and wasn't out to get us for every penny like I have felt about other companies. He completed the work in a timely manner and didn't charge us any extra when he had to come back a third time to check on a leak that ended up being from a different part of the refrigerator! I would highly recommend Wooten Appliance; it is hard to find companies you feel like you can trust these days, but I trust them.

They do not work on my brand of appliance.

They were timely, quickly diagnosed the problem (had seen a similar issue in other models repaired), and quickly repaired unit and provided some tips on how to trouble shoot unit in the future. Definitely would use Wooten again.

Prompt arrival, professional, courteous. Not a single complaint.

Unfortunately the cost to repair the washing machine was greater than its remaining life expectancy. But I appreciate knowing that in these types of situations. I was also given what I felt was excellent advice when I asked for the technicians opinion/experience with which washing machines in his experience were best which helped me make an informed decision in purchasing a new machine.

The service for the big deal from Wooten Appliance for large appliance repair with additional appliance check was okay. He fixed it. When I scheduled it, it took me a bit to get them but they were on. I finally got them, they were busy. When they came out, they fixed it instantly. It was probably a week or 2 after I purchased the big deal on September 23, 2014 so probably in October. There was a part so there was an additional 50 or 60 dollars more than the big deal of 159 dollars. The owner who I talked with was a very receptive and kind. He was not the person that came out and repaired or did the repair. The guy who came out was efficient, on time, secured the problem and then left. They got the job done, if the owner had come out I thought that it would have been more user friendly or the cheer side manner would have been better. The job was done properly.

This is a great company! They came out twice to try and detect the issue with my previous washer. I appreciated their honesty in the price and giving details on previous issues regarding my washer. After hearing about the situation, we asked them about the best options and they were extremely helpful in introducing our new washer machine, the Speed Queen. Daryl Wooten and his employees are highly recommended!

I manage residential real estate and frequently get calls about appliances and other things breaking or needing repair so I thought I'd give Angie's list and a new appliance company a try. A tenant called to report her washing machine wouldn't work. The tech visually inspected the washing machine and said everything was in working order then left after a few minutes of watching it spin. I expected to pay a service charge because someone visited the property but was also told I might not pay full price because they didn't perform any service. The person doing the billing said they would only charge $99 instead of the full 139.00 at first but called her manager to check. I was given a credit of $40.00 for the remainder. I feel like they could have been more fair about it and so I won't be calling them back.

The technician arrived right on time at 7:59 am (our time block was 8-10 am). He was friendly, professional, and competent. He explained everything and solved our problem, which turned out to be a minor issue thankfully. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone and will certainly use them again if need be.

Food was spoiling. We turned the temperature up and it still wasn't cold enough in the refrigerator section. All this ice was building up in the freezer and leaking into the main section of the refrigerator. The repair man got the ice out and then determined that this was happening because the fan was not working. It's a 10 year old refrigerator so he didn't have the part but ordered it and came back.

Dryer was not drying. It was tumbling clothes, blowing air, but result was wet clothes. Made appt for repairmen from large co. but he was a no show. Checked online, found good reviews at various sites for Mr. Wooten and called his co. He arrived next day, repaired dryer, cleaned out lint, checked washer, assured me all was well and that both machines had several more years of use in them. I will use him again in future. He repairs all major appliances.

The $139 deal offered by Angie's List seems not to be such a great deal, unless having read my description AL can rectify the charges: Initially the Wooten Appliance service pro came and quickly diagnosed the problem with our broiler not starting: Prior service by another company to replace the broiler igniter was the cause of a big complication - they used plastic wire covers that melted and shorted out the entire system. The service person said he'd order the necessary parts and re-schedule a return. Weeks went by without any word, so I called Wooten, and Danielle immediately set up the return visit. This was not an easy service, and the second service person did the job well, but there were additional charges. I thought these would cover the cost of replacement parts, and perhaps that's the case, but there also seemed to be labor charges. I wasn't so offended that it seemed worthwhile to protest -- too busy with other concerns. The work was completed, the broiler works, but not full marks for Wooten/Angie's List.

It was fine. They were able to come and fix the problem. My washing machine was making a awful screeching noise and he was trying to do one thing that couldn't fix it and then he was going to come back but he never had to come back because it stopped making the noise. He was here for about 2 hours trying to fix it and it wasn't working. I was satisfied with the service overall.

They were very nice on the phone. He was supposed to be there between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. He never called to tell me what time he would here. I went over to a neighbor’s home at 5:05 pm, and while I was there, he knocked really quickly and left. I called the company back within three minutes of him leaving the note on my door and they never responded. They were very nice on the phone, but I can’t take off of work another day and have this happen again.

Arrived promptly. Provided great service. Very professional. The technician was able to diagnose and repair the problem quickly.

It was a Big Deal purchase. Things went well. The person who came was right on time and very thorough. I was very happy. He even came out a second time to check on things. He was very personable. He explained everything to me. It was not able to be fixed because it involved replacing a computer board which I was not really into at the time but he gave me some really good advice and assistance, especially mentioning washers that last a long time and are workable. It was mostly diagnostic service. What stood out to me is that he was very thorough, personable and responsive. The price was fine. He ran into everything that he looked at and everything that he tested and went through elaborate explanations of how the system works and the pros and cons of it. He also talked in general about the nature of washing machines now.

Everything went fine. He was very nice.

They sent us an email to let us know that they don't service our area. They were professional in handling the situation.
