Daryl of Wooten appliance had replaced a refrigerator control board in August 2014 and I was very impressed by the professionalism, punctuality, responsiveness, and price of the service. The refrigerator has been working very well since then. I did not hesitate to ask Wooten again for service on my GE electric stove. I thought a cycling noise heard during the heat up phase was abnormal. Daryl told me that the noise was normal. He even offered me a credit of $40 because the service took so little time. I found that gesture admirable and rare. Wooten Appliance service is outstanding in all respects.

It went well. They replaced it and it wasn't working still, they came to my house at 1am to repair it. Turns out, I didn't do something right. Yikes, but they were still sooooo nice, after they drove from Baltimore to DC. I would have been angry, but they weren't.

Our condo association recently mandated replacement of the rubber washing machine intake hoses installed by the builder with steel-braided hoses. We used the plumbing company recommended by the association to do the replacement. Shortly after this was done, we noticed the spin cycle was no longer removing all the water from the clothes. We contacted the plumbing company but they said nothing they had done would have that effect. I then searched Angie's List and found Wooten Appliance. The reviews looked good so I submitted an online service request to have one of their technicians come out and take a look at the washing machine. I received a call from Wooten the next day and arranged for a service window the following day. Shortly after the start of the window, I received a call from the technician saying he was on his way. He arrived soon after. He was familiar with the type of GE spacesaver washer-dryer combo we have, and after opening up the washer and checking a few things, he determined the drain hose was not allowing sufficient flow out of the machine and that was why the spin cycle wasn't working correctly. The washer-dryer combo is in a very small closet so it was a difficult task, but eventually he was able to securely anchor the drain hose in a manner which kept it wide open. We've had no problems with the machine since. Unavoidably, there was some water spillage during the repair, but he took great pains to clean up after he was done. When I asked him if the intake hose replacement had caused the drain hose problem, he said it likely did. He suspected the drain hose had originally been tie-wrapped to one or both of the rubber hoses. The plumber didn't realize the significance of the tie-wrapping and left the drain hose to sag at the back of the machine after he installed the new intake hoses. This impeded the flow of water out of the machine during the spin cycle. I was quite impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the Wooten technician. I would most definitely use Wooten again. I should also note, while the $146 charge might seem high, most of that was their standard $119 house call charge. As hard as the technician had to work to anchor the drain hose in such cramped quarters, I felt the additional labor charge was quite reasonable.

Daryl came out and properly diagnosed the appliances and fixed the dishwasher on the spot. Their prices were reasonable and comparable with industry standards. They had an Angie's List coupon we used. We will be using them for any non warrantied items and all reimbursable warrantied appliances.

Wonderful service, especially from the first contractor. There was a bad communication delay for the second repair and we went without a part -- and without the fridge -- for a week. This was difficult but expected. Our only complaint was that Wooten did not communicate clearly that it could take a week to get the part. Would recommend again, nonetheless. A+ service

I received excellent service. I purchased a service coupon from Wooten. It was easy to schedule, the repairman arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. Final repair required a new computer panel and that was quickly ordered and the follow-up call went smoothly. Personal I dealt with were all professional and knowledgeable.

He completed a general overall check of our appliances. The technician was responsive to our questions and was professional. Everything worked out just fine.

After a minor glitch in scheduling, Darryl went out of his way to get to me before the weekend to repair my washing machine. Very professional and thorough. Also gave me great advice on new gas ranges (which ones to avoid specifically). Thanks so much!

Was told that cost of making an estimate would be $90! The estimator would presumably make estimates on that day near my neighborhood, but in any case that was an outrageous amount, more than any other company offering any kind of service ever proposed.

Needed to make two trips. First trip was to clear the clog, assess the door issue. Second trip he returned with the part and repaired the door. Everything went smoothly.

We used Wooten Appliances again. I bought the deal from Angie's List for $100 for service call. Darryl Wooten is our guy that comes. He's very knowledgeable and I just really appreciate him. I was talking about new appliances and he said, you wouldn't be able to get anything as good as what you've got. He's honest like that and his opinion was helpful. I have used him twice now.

They don't service my type of appliance. I have an LG appliance. They should list should list that on the deal.

They were professional, but all that needed to be done was a washer reset. We still somehow ended up with a $15 above the $139 repair coupon.

They informed me they couldn’t do the repair. They were very responsive.

Arrived on time, checked everything out. No big problems found and the technician gave some helpful tips on keeping things in good shape. He found some minor problems with the refrigerator and with our permission ordered the parts. Came back about 2 weeks later to finish the repairs for about $100 more - the delay was fine because it wasn't a pressing issue.

They were on time for the appointment. They explained things well to me. They were quick to respond to me and set up the appointment. The problem was outside of what they could do, though.

I called Daryl because I had a very positive experience with him a few months ago, when he came out to fix our dryer. The very short, stiff dryer duct hose had become disconnected when the dryer was moved to clean behind it. He suggested replacing the short stiff hose for a longer, more flexible one, so this wouldn't happen again, which cost an additional $10 or so. In addition, he swept behind the dryer and checked to make sure it didn't have any lint buildup, explaining that's a serious fire hazard. I didn't ask him to do anything except reconnect the hose, and he went completely above and beyond the call of duty. I was very favorably impressed. Regarding the freezer, he said wasn't sure it was the timer and that it could be 2 other more costly problems, but after listening closely and asking pertinent questions, he suggested replacing the timer first, as it was the least expensive thing to do and would be diagnostic. We had a previous repair person from our Home Warranty repair service stay for ~ 3 hours, misdiagnosed the problem, saying there wasn't enough freon. He said that type of freon is difficult to come by because of changed environmental standards, which is true. But the Home Warranty repair service would not authorize any repair, and said the only thing they would do was reimburse us $500 after we replaced the refrigerator/freezer unit,which would cost thousands of dollars. So we decided to ask for Daryl's second opinion, which saved us thousands of dollars as we don't have to replace a freezer that he could fix. Initially, Daryl thought the part would be less expensive. I think he said $40, and it turned out to be more, but still well below $100 which we had expected from this appliance brand. In addition, Daryl was very professional, cordial and polite and I would recommend him for any appliance repair that's in his area of expertise.

It was excellent. He took the time to explain what he was doing and looking for and gave us tips on how to keep everything in great condition.
