Wooten Appliance

It turned out well. It needed more people so it took a while but it turned out fine. They were prompt. I got the appointment promptly and they had to come back again the following week. They were nice and courteous. They solved the problem. They changed some parts in my washer. The guy came and he had to go back and get an appointment. Both of them came in, grabbed the part and changed it. They charged an extra $300 - 400 for an extra guy and the parts. It wasn't just a one-man job. It was fine. I don't really have any complaints. It turned out more expensive than anticipated but that was because of the part and we didn't realize it would be a two-man job. We probably wouldn't buy the voucher from Angie's List again because we don't have the estimate of how big the job would be or if we have to pay an extra. It was expensive but they weren't being unfair either. They solved the problem and it hasn't come back again. They were quite responsive. I don't remember having any issues.

All appointments and communications were made by email with staff. The response to all of my requests and inquiries came back promptly. It took 3 days to get an appointment and the tech(s) came during the time frame given. The service tech(s) made two visits gave me options based upon his years of experience. It wasn't the outcome I was hoping for but I felt it was good advice and acted on it.

It went well. The stove was 20+ years old. Darryl gave us the option of repair or replace. He did a good job of explaining the pros and cons of each option. Ultimately we went with replace because of his very reasonable pricing. We would use him again without hesitation and we recommend him highly.

I called Wooten, and asked about the coupon on Angie's list; $139 paid in advance to cover the work, unless serious parts were needed. I agreed to the deal. Because I called so late in the day, I had to wait an extra day or two to get a repairman, but that wasn't a problem. Darryl called me to let me know he had gotten held up on his other jobs, but he would be there. He was friendly, accommodating, and did a great job. He took the dryer apart, and emptied all sorts of things from inside (no red pen, but coins, lint, and other mischief makers). He also showed me how much lint had piled up behind the front plate. He said it was a fire hazard, and volunteered to clean it all out, if I brought him a vacuum. He worked quickly and efficiently, and put the dryer back together. He told me that our model of dryer tended to have that problem of items slipping into the drum. I intended to turn the dryer on so he could hear the screeching, but I forgot. I called Wooten back the next day and asked if Darryl could come back. He did, and when the dryer started making the noise, he seemed to immediately know what it was. He put his hands on the top of the dryer and leaned on it, and the noise stopped. He told me that it wasn't a serious issue, it wouldn't affect the functioning of the dryer, and there wasn't much that could be done. I decided that rather than making an issue of it, which probably would have been a more serious repair job, and cost more money, we could live with the noise, as long as it wasn't a serious safety or functional problem. I will call Wooten again, if I need appliance repair. I thought the price was extremely fair, and the service was great. I will also ask for Darryl.

Service Tech arrived on time, was very polite and knowledgeable. Diagnosed the issue as a bad motor. Informed me that due to the age of the machine, it would probably cost more to fix it than to replace the dishwasher. Then gave me some good advice on specifics for installation of the new dishwasher, including getting a licensed plumber to do the installation since I would need some line work as well.

Other than the incorrect pert being ordered to first time, OK!

Poorly, Called on Monday, soonest appointment was Friday afternoon. Gave technician the error code which signaled an issue with motor or controller. Tech looked at the error code and stated that he would have to come back next week with the parts. It left me wondering why I waited a week for someone to verify what I already knew and why I paid for them to come to the house. I am taking a new path from here.

Well. They installed two parts. After a day it stopped making ice. they returned a told me it was frozen (the motor) and explained how to avoid it freezing. No charge!

Repairs were done (in two visits because of the parts needed), and although the technician initially predicted a more expensive repair, he found it was a much cheaper fix and parts. The office was easy to deal with, very good about communication. They have limited appointments in our area (in PG county near the District), they did their best to accommodate us, including our schedule.

Excellent! Easy to get an appointment with great office staff. Cody and Ben called when they were on their way; serviced my dryer so well, it works like new. They even gave me advice on getting a different vent cover for the outside vent to allow air to flow more evenly without restriction. They were respectful of my home, left no mess for me to clean up and were very efficient doing the job. I'd absolutely hire them again for this and other jobs.

Our service was to have our dryer vent clean, and our guy was great. He was prompt, friendly, and gave some maintenance tips to boot. It was easy to schedule and we didn't have to wait long for an appointment.

Great! The technician checked out the issue - gave a recommendation for a product that cleared up the issue and saved us money and time of a second visit. I would use them again.

They were really hard with the scheduling. I think they were very professional and I think that the actual promotion that I purchase was really helpful because there were things that I had not considered doing for my appliance system.

These guys are great. I bought a deal on AL for the visit and repair (no parts) and the repairman was on time, polite and diagnosed the issues very quickly. He asked before he ordered the parts and when they came in I received a notification to set up the repair. A different guy came to do the repair because my first guy had become ill over the weekend. He told us he was happy to pick up the extra work because they are a family at Wooten and that is just what family does for each other...you can't ask for anything more than that in this day and time. I HIGHLY recommend Wooten Appliance Repair and now have them on speed dial on my phone. Most communication is done by email and website which is perfect for us but if you need hand holding that might take some extra time!

The service call went very well. Tech arrived on the early end of the service window, was very polite, and had replaced the ignitor within 15 minutes. It couldn't have been easier. And making the appointment online was fast & easy, too. Scheduling coordinator promptly followed up and was also very polite. My only quibble would be the cost. $250 is a lot for 15 minutes of work (plus drive time) to install a relatively cheap part.

Wooten Appliance ultimately did not perform the repair due to the availability of GE parts. They were, however, responsive and pleasant to deal with. For other repairs, I think they would exercise similarly good communication and response.

Excellent! This guy knew just what to do, and what to look for. It took him no time to take this apart, find what was wrong and to get it fixed. He was in and out in under 45 minutes. Thanks, I highly recommend and would bring him back for future repairs.

Over two visits, one for a diagnosis and one to return with a needed part, their technician made the fix.
