Description of Work: Took an extraordinary amount of time to determine that an AC compressor needed replacement. Then, despite it being under warranty, I had to pay for replacement because I wasn't the original owner and A.P. Matthews wasn't an authorized service rep. A real rip off by Trane. A lot of frustration for A.P Matthews but even more frustration for me as I had to live without AC during the summer until repairs were made.

Description of Work: They replaced a couple parts in my heat pump & repaired a leak in one of the pipes leading to the furnace. The Technician was professional, knowledgable & efficient. I was impressed with the service & would call this company again.

Description of Work: On Wednesday they cam and determined we needed a new condenser fan motor, which was difficult to find locally. They originally thought they would be out on Friday, but were having a problem finding the part. Once one was located They went and picked it up personally, instead of waiting for it to be delivered. We had mentioned we had company arriving on Thursday and it would be miserable with out A/c, so once the part was acquired they called and arranged to come out that Thursday night and replace it. From beginning to completion the experience with A P MATHEWS HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING INC was exceptional.

Description of Work: On one of those bitterly cold days we had this past winter, my home was feeling rather chilly. Checked the thermostat which was set at 72 but, the inside temp was 68 and it seemed to be dropping. I called AP Matthews and they agreed to come out the next day. They gave me a call the next day to give the time of their arrival and they were punctual. The system seemed to be functioning properly so it was determined that "junk" had settled in the main pipe. A good smack with a heavy duty wrench seemed to loosen the "junk." Problem solved. I will use AP Matthews again and have recommended them to others.

We've used them twice - the first time, they were completely booked because of the heat, but because we had been without AC for two days and have pets, he came anyway and fixed the outside unit in the dark with flashlights at 10:00 at night! A. P. Mathews provides excellent service and cares about their customers.

Description of Work: Our a/c broke on a holiday weekend and we have 2 little ones on a very hot day/nights and they answered on a holiday and came the same day! Very friendly, fast and great price! Already knew what the problem could be from asking several questions so the fix was very fast and the a/c started working the minutes we turned the unit back on.

Description of Work: Showed up on time, installed the new equipment and left everything clean before they left. Price was the best we found. A couple weeks later we found a leak coming into the basement from the furnace where the new a/c was connected. I called and they came out first thing the next morning and fixed the problem. It wasn't actually a repair per se as the problem was not caused or as a result of their installation. They were quick and there was no charge. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: AP Mathews replaced our AC unit and evaporator. We upgraded to a heat pump, so now we have a hybrid system with the furnace to help save money on oil. Paul was great to work with and the install team did a good job. Everyone was professional and friendly, they were on time always, and the team cleaned up after their work. The pricing was very good compared with other estimates.
