KING AND SONS

Our septic tank is on the far side of our house from our driveway. Other companies normally drive onto our lawn leaving dents. That was actually impossible since the was recent rain. King and Sons had no problem pumping the tank from the driveway. Service was done promptly.

I foolishly paid Gary King in advance. After long delays, he dug a hole, but it collapsed because he didn't bring dirt boxes. So he filled the hole without doing any repair, kept $500, and left. Gary has the planning ability of a junior high school boy, and kept some of my money for a simple job he couldn't do.

Septic Tank Cleaning/ Repair

King & Sons has always been my go to for any septic system but Gary King restores my faith in people. I had a backup in my home the day before a holiday weekend and he came within hours, without question! It wasn’t a septic problem after all but he pumped the tank, helped me get the pipe fixed and called the next day to make sure we were good. For anyone, that is stellar service but for a single mom...it’s priceless. King & Sons is reliable, affordable, honest and most of all...kind & caring! I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

I had called another company to come out and clean my septic tank a year prior to King & Sons coming out. They came out and cleaned the tank and then told me what I needed to do to make our septic tank function properly. Gave me a price and then never came out. I called them and they did not even remember me as a customer. I was referred by my plumber to call King and Sons. I spoke with Barbra Ann. She got me scheduled in a timely manor to come out and pump the septic tank and to do a consult on what was needed to repair my septic tank. They came out pumped out the septic tank, told me what I needed to repair the system, gave me a verbal price that seemed fair for the work. They came back out a few days later and preformed the repair work. They dug up my front yard and put it back just as they found it. The price was just what they quoted. They will be coming back out regularly to preform maintenance.

Simply put, Gary is one of the best service people I have ever hired, for any type of home service. Highly recommend.

They showed up the very same-day that I called them!  Their price was very reasonable, they courteous and professional throughout.  They also inspected the tank while it was empty and pointed out the missing outflow baffle, and quoted a price to repair it.

After determining there was a blockage in our septic line, the technician indicated he had to get plans from the county in order to snake out the block and would be back next week. Toward the end of the following week I called to find out the status and left a message. Nobody returned my call. I did the same thing the following Monday with no response. The next day I called a spoke to a woman who said she would get back to me. She never did.
I have dealt with contractors who come out to the house and never get back to you. That is usually not a problem if I haven't paid them anything. However, when your septic tank is overflowing into your backyard it becomes an urgent health hazard. To not even let me know they were not coming back so I could call someone else is negligent and probably unethical..

I was very impressed how efficient the process was considering the fact that the truck had to be located nearly 100 feet from the septic access pipe and the septic had not been pumped for over ten years.

It went well. This was my first septic tank cleaning. I bought my home in Oct. 2010 and haven't needed to have it cleaned since. I chose King and Sons because the homeowner prior to me used them and, it being my first time found comfort in the fact that they had serviced my home before. I thought they'd know more than I, and I was pleasantly correct. They remembered my home and easily identified the location of the lid to the tank. I would have dug hole all over the yard and still not remembered where the home inspector told me the dang thing was. Next time I'll dig the hole myself so it will be cheaper, but they couldn't have shown me where to dig without coming out first so all's well.

We have used King and Sons for many years and have always been happy with their careful work. This time around our experience was exactly what we have come to expect. They were friendly on the phone. They arrived when they said they would. They did the work we asked for, which was a periodic emptying of the septic tank. The price was reasonable. Standards for how septic tanks are accessed have changed (a wider opening for improved clean-out), and King and Sons provided an unsolicited quote to upgrade our system. We appreciated the fact that they mentioned this, since we don't exactly follow this sort of news ourselves. There was no sales pressure, just a friendly offer to do the work at a reasonable price.
