Oak Tree Furniture

The service was excellent, and I like the furniture (from three different purchases), but the delays in getting the furniture were unreasonably long; I was given an estimated delivery time of 6-10 weeks and it took 20. While the delays were probably caused by the supplier, they are still delays which affect me as a customer, and this is the second time I have had long delays. I will continue to purchase furniture from them, but only if I can tolerate a long wait. The store staff was helpful. I wanted to buy bookcases which matched the ones I had bought three years ago for the same room. They found my previous order and helped me choose the right model. When I had not heard anything for three months, I called the store to check on the status. They contacted the manufacturer, learned that there had been a delay, and told me they would waive the delivery charge. I called back again later, and was told that my bookcases had been made but had somehow not gotten onto the delivery truck. When the delivery to the store was finally scheduled, they called to let me know that it would arrive in the next week, which it did, and I scheduled delivery to my home for a few days later. I asked for one additional concession, having them remove the remains of the old bookcases for free; they agreed but asked me to take them apart myself, which I did. (The haul-away would otherwise have been an actual cost to me, caused by the delay. I had planned to take the remains to the county landfill when I made a trip there a month ago, but the old bookcases were still needed until the new ones arrived, so I would have had to make an extra trip to the landfill.) The delivery staff showed up on schedule for the delivery, and that went fine; they installed the bookcases and took away the remains of the old bookcases,.

We went to Oak Tree Furniture to find a replacement piece for our existing Ethan Allen wall unit ensemble to accommodate a larger TV. After explaining our intentions with Joe, who we later learned was the owner, he explained that Oak Tree could custom build the piece for us to match the existing towers. We took pictures and measurements of the existing unit and worked with Joe on the design. The estimate was very reasonable and would be delivered in 4-5 weeks. To help match the existing finish, we brought Oak Tree an existing door on the unit.
After 4 weeks, Oak Tree called and told us the build would be delayed because of health issues with their main cabinet maker and that the build would take longer than usual.  Another 4 week pass.  Oak Tree called and informed us that Joe coordinated 
all the custom work and was experiencing health issues which would delay the build.  Because of a second unexpected delay, Oak Tree offered to refund our deposit.  My wife and I were both impressed that Oak Tree had contacted us first about the delays. That spoke tremendously about integrity and we kept with the order.
Despite the delay Oak Tree just delivered the new wall unit and we are VERY HAPPY.  The workmanship is of outstanding quality and the new unit matches the existing towers perfectly. The installers arrived on-time, were careful and extremely courteous.
Building quality custom furniture can?t be rushed.  Oak Tree Furniture has my highest recommendation.

Fine.  They were very good about letting us borrow fabric samples (although, understandably,  they charge if you don't return them) and working with us on the selection.  We were pretty sure about what we wanted and we got it in a reasonably timely fashion.

Salesperson was very personable and helpful.  Delivery men for both deliveries were extremely pleasant and efficient, even though the elevator was out of order for one of the deliveries and they had to carry furniture up the stairs.  Put the furniture in place and assembled the table.  I'm very pleased with the furniture, and would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

The true test of customer service is what happens when something goes wrong, and they handled this very well.  The delivery crew showed up at the appointed time, entered the room, and realized that they could not fit the desk through the door to the room,   They called the main shop, which arranged to take the desk back, take it apart, deliver it in pieces the same day, and put it back together.  There was a nominal charge for re-delivery and the woodwork required to take the desk apart (it wasn't originally designed to be shipped in pieces), but the combined charge was less than the regular labor charge.  I considered the extra charge fair because the problem was not their fault; I had measured the size of the desk but not thought to measure the doorway.
They also did a few minor repairs on the bookcases as delivered; I discovered that a shelf peg didn't fit in the shelf hole I wanted to put it in, and they drilled out the hole so it would fit.
The delivery crew removed the old furniture for a small charge; I knew in advance that there would be a charge, and it was worth paying the charge because I couldn't easily haul the desk away myself.
The staff in store were helpful when I placed the order.  I didn't have enough knee room with the desk I preferred, and the salesman said that they could remove the center drawer and the bar which supports it.  He also helped me with the selection of bookcases to match the desk.
It took a bit longer than the estimated delivery time for the furniture to be ready; I was given an estimate of 5-7 weeks, and it took 12.    Other than that issue, the service was excellent, and I plan to use them again for my next furniture order.

Excellent. We got to choose the style, shape, fabric and wood so it was custom built just for us. It took about 8 weeks. It was received on time. It is a beautiful and comfortable chair. We have never owned a nicer piece of furniture. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were there to answer any questions but were not too pushy or follow us around. They were also very informative about the product and the product line. We were able to purchase it on sale.

The timeline for delivery and professionalism of the staff has always been just right. The staff in the store is always friendly and approachable - but notably you are not swarmed upon and pressured the way you typically expect in a furniture store.

It turned out great.

Everything was great. Beat large Deleware seller on price in a blind bid. Sales people are knowledgeable and not on commission. Let customer take his time. Couch arreived on time. Store has good range of brands concentrating on middle to upper middle that are good values at their price points.

Oak Tree is an excellent company with high quality furniture for a very reasonable price. Brian has been very helpful and remembers us each time we go back. We recently purchased an end table. Oak Tree matched the stain to the same table we purchased 15 years ago so the pieces would match. The salespeople work with you so you obtain the highest quality furniture. The delivery personnel are very careful when delivering the furniture and will not leave until the customer is satisfied. We recommend this company all the time.

My first purchase from Oak Tree Furniture was a table to place next to my living room chair. My representative was Karen who went the extra mile to help me find the perfect table. The quality of the furniture and Karen's outstanding service prompted me to return to search for a stand to place in a small bathroom. Once again Karen was my representative and helped me find the right stand. This time, the product had to be ordered so I had to wait (worth it though).
My third visit was in search of a TV console. This time, I purchased an item assembled by Oak Tree Furniture (an extra plus), chose my stain, the knobs and voila in two weeks Oak Tree Furniture contacted me to schedule a day and time for delivery.
The men who delivered my furniture were polite, professional and very careful not to scratch the furniture or cause damage to my house. They quickly set up my TV console and allowed me to examine the work before they left.
I try to support local businesses and appreciate Oak Tree Furniture for their quality products, and superior customer service.

I found this company on the internet. The saleswoman was very good. I was able to find exactly what I wanted at this store. I bought my chairs here and had such a good experience that I went back and purchased my table. The delivery men were very friendly and professional when they delivered my furniture. They made sure the furniture was set up exactly like I wanted it. The price was good for the quality of furniture I purchased.
