I scheduled an appointment for an estimate to be conducted at 4:30pm on 8/29. After hearing nothing from Move-Rite, at 5:00pm, I called them to see if they were coming out. Rick answered the phone and said he thought the estimator was having car problems and he would call him to see when he was coming to my home and call me back. After about 5-10 minutes, Rick called me back and said the estimator was having car problems and wouldn't be able to arrive until 7:00-8:00pm. I said I would see him then. At 8:30PM, I got a call from the estimator who asked if it was too late to come out. I explained that it was too late and that I would not be using their service. We all experience adversity in our daily routines, it's how we handle it that matters. If the estimator (the first experience have with the company) can't take a moment to call me and advise me of a problem and then fail to call or arrive on time after that, what can I expect when they actually do the work?

I was very apprehensive about hiring a moving company, having heard horror stories in the past. From the beginning Rick and his team made the whole process easy. They were available on the days that we needed to move, even with short notice, and they were accommodating to the time frame we had to stick to. The price was fair and a slight discount was even offered because we were moving on a weekday. The crew arrived within the scheduled time frame and got right to work. They took extra care with my white sofas- shrink wrapping them for me so they did not get soiled on the trip. They also tackled the gargantuan task of disassembling and reassembling a very large home gym. They worked quickly and efficiently and had me all moved in a single morning. The team was respectful and professional and the price was extremely fair. I would use them again for my moving needs.

Overall the experience was not one I would do again.

It was raining when they arrived. The move was complicated because several pieces of furniture were to be dropped off to two other destinations. The three men were polite, careful, competent, no swearing or complaining and worked together well. The furniture arrived dry and with no damage. The rain stopped just as they finished up. Great experience.

It went well. They were 15 minutes late, but called ahead of time to let us know they would be 15-30 minutes late, so we were fine. I think it started with the estimate. The estimate was what we paid. The estimate was maybe $100 more than we paid, but it was very close. We scheduled with the estimator. It took several days for the company to call back and confirm, but then they did. They showed up the day of the move and had my husband show them what was moving. He did. They asked several questions and started on the top floor and loaded the truck. They had explained that we had too much stuff for one truck and since it was just a cross town move they could make two trips. They did. Eveything made the move. We were very happy with the service we received. I had several packaged marked, "very fragile." I noted that they made the trip in the cab of the truck.

I was very pleased with the service and they did a great job. They were very careful with the furniture and kept my house clean while they were working. They were also very polite.

I recently used them about one month ago, and was very happy with their service. They actually moved things around in my home. There was nothing that I disliked. They followed instructions, and managed very heavy items. I would use them again and highly recommend their services.

Overall, it went very well. Two men came to move my treadmill from the basement to the main floor. They disassembled the unit, moved it, then re-assembled it. One of the men knew about electronics and how to re-assemble it so that it was in good, working order. Both men were professional and pleasant. I would use them, again.

Three guys showed up at the truck depot. They were on time. They protected the glass tank well during the transfer from the shipping truck to the moving truck, and brought it to my home. Their original plan for getting it off the truck and into my house didn't seem like a very good idea to me so I suggested an alternative and after discussing it for a couple of minutes they followed my suggestion. The tank was placed on the stand without damaging it or anything else. I would recommend them but caution to keep an eye on the price. I paid about $1 per pound. I assume the price was so high because of the date. Then again, maybe they're always expensive. Based on my experience, I would consider using them again.

On short notice, they moved a townhouse to a three bedroom apartment within their allotted time-frame. They suggested a crew size and window of time within which the operation should be complete based on my indication of # rooms, types of furniture and belongings, etc... Beyond that window, there's a per-unit-time charge. They stayed (pretty much) on schedule despite the truck breaking down in front of my home prior to load-up. As luck (or planning) would have it, a member of the crew was knowledgeable about diesel trucks. They were careful in protecting my belongings and did no damage to either the 'to' or 'from' property. They even went the extra mile of disassembling and reassembling my son's crib and did it well!

These guys were on time, professional and so courteous. I was so impressed with their hard work moving all our things up 2 flights of stairs, as it was a difficult task. They did everything with a smile and treated us with respect despite how hard the work was. We were so impressed. Not one scratch or ding on any piece of furniture or appliance. They went above and beyond, and we will definately use them again in the future. Way to go Move Rite, you guys are absolutely amazing, just when we thought customer service is dead, you proved us wrong. Take Care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO have enough stuff ready for them to move. I had a unique situation since I had to unload a number of shelves, the bulky heavy items, in order to box up the books. etc. I could have had more ready for them but since I have an apartment I have limited preparation space. If you have a house, really prepare well to make the most of their time and talents. They worked positively with me in the ways that I wanted to load my storage pod...NO PROBLEMS! A-OK!

The two men who arrived for the move worked quickly and efficiently together. They were quiet and polite and accepted my brother's help gracefully. The truck was the perfect size for the job. Our only concern was that the movers arrived about 90 minutes later than scheduled. However, this time was valuable to us in getting everything outside that we could. I'm sure this saved the movers at least 30 minutes of additional labor. To their credit, everything they moved arrived in perfect condition, including a very unwieldy mega-giant flat screen TV. My brother has already recommended Move Rite to others. I am considering using them myself for the move I am about to make. However, I have more furnishings (and more valuable furnishings) than my brother had, so I may go with a larger, more experienced company.

It went very well. Move Right is timely and very professional. They worked extremely fast and very careful about keeping the house tidy and clean.

The price was reasonable and they did an excellent job. We were happy with them. Most of the moving companies charge you for four hours which they did, but they moved everything within two hours. We asked them if we could add some stuff that was in storage and they agreed to take us to the store since we had the time. We pretty much packed ourselves with the exception of few of the insured items like the breakable stuff. So they did some of the packing too. They were extremely professional and quick in comparison with the other movers that we had used to move before. We didn?t like those movers and that?s why we hired Move Rite. However, they knew what they were doing. They had a truck which was way larger than what we needed which was awesome because they could quickly pack it instead of trying to cram in a bunch of stuff into a smaller truck. So we were very pleased with them.

Rick Vincent, the owner, came out the day after we called, was on-time and provided an estimate. He was very flexible in the intricacies of what we wanted, like micro-wrap for our easy-to-scratch wooden furniture and the date. He provided several references the next day, all but one returned my call and gave stupendous refs, including one lady that's used him 4 times over several years and another ref that was a large business move. Rick worked with us on the final price and was very competitive. Unlike most sales people, who disappear after the move is booked, Rick was actively involved with managing the move throughout the 3 days, often coming on-site (not that he needed to). He was always accessible by cell. The move involved 6-7 men, two 30+ ft trucks, 8-9 hrs/day, over 3 days. When the men got hurt or sick, Rick quickly responded with replacements. One day he even got an extra (smaller) truck at no extra cost. All the men were great, very nice/courteous and respectful of our property. They always asked when unsure about something, like how we'd like certain things wrapped. It was 95 F+ and very humid every day; they worked very, VERY hard and didn't waste any time. I made sure they had plenty of bottled water, Gatorade and got lunch/pizza for them everyday. In the end, they were extremely tired, but gracefully re-assembled all our furniture and positioned the heaviest without a single complaint. All men used were regulars with Move-Rite, many for years, not "Home Depot" parking lot drifters. All were USA Citizens. We interviewed 5 other moving companies: Majestic (see my review under Majestic), Town & Country (non-negotiable) and others since prices, quality and flexibility vary widely. Move-Rite did not start as one of our intial picks, but they were the most proactive, did the best follow-up and follow-through, were the most flexible and worked with us the most on the final price. Every dollar we spent (including tips to all the guys) was well worth it! We will be moving in one year again and will definitely be using Move-Rite without question again!!!
