He told us it wasn't a big job and didn't need his services. It was something we could do and he said that it wouldn't be worth us to do it. I liked the fact that he said we didn't need it and he didn't charge me for coming out. He looked at and saw that there was no mold going on, he tested it.

Tenants stated that minor mold was found upon wallpaper removal. Couple of days later tenant called to say there was water dripping down in nearby area through ceiling from upstairs bathroom. We used Home Warranty Plan for emergency plumber, who in process of repair cut a HUGE hole in ceiling releasing substantial amount of water and discovered definite mold. Our tenant and we owners (living in another city) were obviously concerned. Tenants sealed off opening with plastic. Got 2 estimates from Angie's List. Both companies replied promptly and professionally with estimates. One estimate was done (before hole cut in ceiling) for $3500+ with LOTS (3 days) of Demolition and Restoration of walls, fogging and other services. Joe of Mold Gone came on a Sunday and warmly assured our renter that it was easily remedied and the mold a 2 on a scale of 10. He offered to do the work 2 days later with full house inspection, taking air samples if requested, make the repairs needed, remedy any mold and apply mold prevention measures using a non toxic application due to children in the house. Mold Gone's estimate $795 . Both our tenant and I can not say enough about how pleased we were with our association with Joe and his company's handling of our repair. He helped both our tenant and owner to understand the extent of the problem and our options in a reassuring and respectful way. He was promptly available by both phone and email with updates, estimates and to answer any questions. They did the mold treatment, rough drywall restoration of hole cut by plumber and full house inspection with air samples as promised for the amount of original easy to understand written estimate and on the date promised. He sent us (owners) a report of all work done with explanations of inspection, including noting what is normal and not worrysome in All areas of house. He treated one other small area of a bathroom with no extra charge. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this reliable company. They did only what was required to take care of any discovered problem quickly, with efficiency and quality AND... without the extended drama of " I won't know until I tear out the $$$ walls"...Thanks Joe!

They were by far the best choice for mold remediation that I've had. They were great. They were very responsive and flexible.

Joe was absolutely wonderful! Extremely detail oriental. Compare to the two other estimates I had, Joe spent three times amount of time to go over the whole house during the free estimate and explain to me in detail of the situation and what exactly need to be done, provide me the ballpark figure and receive the proposal the next day (estimate was done in the evening)! During the job, Joe and his staffs were very professional, friendly always on-time, and gone extra miles to address issues. And the price was 10-15% better then two other Mold remediation companies I was quote from. I would not hesitate to recommend Joe and Mold Gone to any one need mold remediation.

I was in the process of purchasing a home that had an area of mold in the basement. Joe from MoldGone was contacted, and within hours an appointment was made via email. Joe was very flexible with the appointments and always on time. Joe came to the home and completed a full mold evaluation, including a swab test of our mold for additional anaylsis. A full report with explainations, test results and estimate were provided to me by Joe. I received the report very quickly. Upon completion of settlement with my new home I immediately contacted Joe from MoldGone to set up an appointment for mold remediation based on his report and estimate. Joe scheduled me the day after my settlement. Joe and his crew showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. Joe started off by walking me through his process and explaining the steps that he would be taking in the remediation process. His extensive knowledge and expertise was very helpful. Joe and his crew from MoldGone were very professional, they used the nearest exit in the home to keep clean up to a minimum. I was left with no mess or clean up to worry about. I would highly recommend MoldGone for all mold related home issues due to their professionalism, knowledge and overall courtesy.

After finding what appeared to be mold in our unfinished basement, I researched Angies List and noticed MoldGone's positive reviews. After calling and scheduling a consultation with Joe, he confirmed that there was in fact mold growing. He checked our entire house and determined that the mold was contained in the basement area. He sent a proposal within a few days with a price that seemed very reasonable. When Joe came to do the job he was right on time. His team did a great job in not only treating the mold but cleaning up some debris and other items that had gathered mold. Once finished, the room looked entirely different due to the cleaning and paint that was applied. I was also really happy with the effort they took to close off the area they were working on so that the mold, dust and treament wouldn't reach outside of the affected area. Joe was great to work with and I could tell he cared about fixing the problem. Highly recommended.

I am currently going through the process of purchasing a new single family home. I have allergies and am sensitive to mold, so decided to pay for a complete mold inspection for the new property to make sure there weren't any problems lurking in the background. I found Mold Gone on Angie's List and contacted the company to schedule an inspection. Joe was completely responsive and followed up via e-mail to confirm our appointment. Joe performed a 2-hour inspection of the property, and was quite thorough. (I even heard the seller's realtor say that she had never seen so thorough of a mold inspection.) Joe scoured the property from top to bottom, looking both outside and inside for any evidence of mold. The cost of the inspection also included four air samples, sent to a professional laboratory -- one on each of the three levels in the house, and one outside, as a control. Joe did not find any serious problems to be concerned about; he shared his thoughts at the end of the inspection, and also offered some tips on preventing future mold growth. He did find some topical mold growth in an unfinished area of the basement. He provided clear instructions on how I could treat the problem myself, and also offered his services, noting that it would only take a small amount of time and be inexpensive. But he stressed that it was something I could easily deal with myself. Based on his professionalism and expertise, I plan to have Joe address the problem when I move into the new property -- he has my trust, and it will be one less thing I have to worry about doing. Following the inspection, Joe forwarded me the lab results via e-mail as soon as they were ready, and then followed up with a complete report. I can't say enough positive things about Joe and Mold Gone -- he was honest, professional, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. He also provided a discount for being an Angie's List member. Having someone as detail-oriented as Joe examine a property prior to purchase definitely takes some of the fear out of purchasing an expensive new home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mold Gone to others, and will not hesitate to use them again when I require their services. (Hopefully that won't be too often!)

We had a small mold issue on a basement carpet. I had 3 companies look at it. Joe was quickest to respond, came out that day. He thoughtfully explained the risks with mold and that our job was not a big concern. He took out the affected area of carpet and tested the air in the whole house. Joe was exceptionally patient & professional. And fair. He knew we had young kids and were concerned, so he could have ripped us off. He didn't (unlike one of the others I found on Angie's List). He clearly has the expertise to do major commercial remediation jobs, but is responsive to smaller jobs too. His web site needs a little updating (or it did). But don't let that steer you away. I could not recommend MoldGone more highly.

It went smoothly - there was very little vacuum or fan noise involved and virtually no unpleasant smell to the chemicals used.

The experience was great!. Joe, Michael. and Eduardo are outstanding workers! They know their business and work hard to do the best possible job. Joe stayed in close touch and told me every detail of what would happen during the 2 1/2 days that he was in our house. He was always on time and even went and got a generator when a storm wiped out our electricity. He made a difficult situation as easy as possible. Joe and his team really took into consideration our request to have an effective remediation done on our home while using the least toxic chemicals possible. Excellent in every respect from start to finish. I could not be happier and if it was possible to give "A plus" ratings, I would be giving them to Mold Gone. Joe Mulieri, the owner, was very prompt in scheduling an inspection and giving me an estimate. He is highly knowledgeable and professional, was thorough in looking at my mold and mildew situation, which was especially bad in my unfinished basement. He took a lot of time to answer my questions. He provided suggestions and explained options, and gave the best advice I received (I had another estimate) about what he thought did and did not need to be done. He also gave advice on getting some landscaping done outside to reduce the likelihood of water seeping into the basement in one area where that had been a problem in the past. The work was scheduled promptly, which I appreciated as I was working on a time deadline. Joe did the work himself, with his assistant, Edwardo. They were very thorough and at the same time worked rapidly (like clockwork). The work had to be done in stages over a few days and at one point there was a 1-day delay due to needing to stay longer at another job where things were more complicated than expected; Joe immediately called to let me know about the delay and I was fine with it as that indicated to me he was not going to rush through a job (mine or anyone else's) just to get it done. In my case he did whatever it took to get the job done the right way, and that included spending a bit more time than expected and I was impressed that he was going to make sure things were done the right way. In addition to the mold removal and treatment, which included cleaning and treating all the walls, floor, and studs in my unfinished basement (approximately 700 sq. feet), I also needed to have the insulation replaced, as some of it had gotten wet and/or dirty due to being in exposed in the unfinished basement. I wanted to make sure that whatever was used was "environmentally friendly." Joe recommended and then installed some that is very good in that regard. Joe also did mold removal and treatment of a small area of drywall and the floor under a window in one the upstairs bedrooms. The problem had been caused by water leaking around the winder, and he re-calked around the outside of that window and some other windows that he found needed it. Joe did whatever it took to "get it right" and that involved spending a bit more time than expected, which was fine with me as there was no additional cost involved and I was impressed that he focused on making sure things were done properly. I pay attention to details and expect a lot - I was not disappointed and would describe Joe as a "professional's professional" and would say the same about his assistant. In addition to being highly professional, Joe and Edwardo are very nice, likeable people and that made everything even easier. I had no concerns at all about not being at the house while they did the work. Would I hire Joe again? Yes, without hesitation. I was so impressed with the high quality of professionalism and attention to detail shown by Joe that after the mold work was done, I subsequently decided to hire him to do some other work at my house.

Joe and his coworker arrived on time, at 10:00 am and were finished just before noon. The job took less than the 4 hour estimate provided to me...fantastic!!!! Joe and his coworker were professional throughout the job and after completing the job, walked me through what they had done. They did not make a mess and cleaned up thoroughly after completing the job. On top of the 10% Angie's List member discount, which knock down the price to $425, Joe took off an additional $25 to make it an even $400. I cannot say enough about the professionalism displayed by MoldGone. During both visits Joe was engaging, cordial, and courteous towards my family. I wholeheartedly recommend this company!!!!!!

Joe and his team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This is now the second time I have had major mold in my house, and I have dealt with A LOT of contractors in the area who remediate mold (or claim to). Many of them are manipulative and dishonest, out to make a buck, with no regard for you or your health. Joe was just the opposite, a breath of fresh air. He answered every question I had in a respectful way, never condescending or using scare tactics to sell his services. On the day of the actual work, the most important thing was that Joe actually did/oversaw the work himself. This is crucial for mold remediation, b/c the specifics of each house are unique, and the person who does the inspection needs to at least be present to guide the work that is performed. Joe was prompt, efficient, hard-working, personable, and professional. He and his team did all the work in one day, on our request, for $3600 less than what another company was going to charge me. Once they started the work, Joe found a good bit more mold in our basement than either of us had anticipated. But he cleaned it all up without charging any extra for the additional labor. This demonstrated his commitment to actually doing what was needed--eliminating the mold problem from our house--not just getting our money and getting out. I cannot speak highly enough of Joe and Mold Gone. I will earnestly recommend them to anyone who needs mold work. Trustworthy contractors in the mold business are hard to come by. Joe is one of the best.

Joe did a great job. He came the same day as I called, did a thorough inspection of the entire unit, and took some samples. There was no hard sell on the samples, but I felt it was necessary for the tenant. His quotes were very reasonable and I felt like he wasn't trying to scam me. He also quoted me a very reasonable price for cleaning and treating the closet. 2 weeks later the samples came back clean and the closet was done.

Joe was professional, punctual, and competent. He examined our basement for nearly an hour, but couldn't find what might be causing our allergies. He ran a few tests for the lab, and charged us $125 for those tests. When we received the full lab report, he provided a full explanation of what it meant. He acknowledged that we didn't have much of a problem and didn't need to do too much to resolve what little issues we had. He provided a clear cost/time estimate for what he recommended. I have already recommended Joe to several others.

He called before each appointment to confirm which was much appreciated. We were free to contact his references. We are grateful for his professionalism and apparent respect for the homeowner. He taught us a lot about why molds occur, what products were best at killing molds and why certain safety standards are set by the industry both for persons working with the chemicals and for customer safety. I'd highly recommend MoldGone to anyone having a problem with or worrying about proactively addressing situations that could lead to mold in the home or other buildings. We are delighted with Joe's work and highly recommend MoldGone.

After reading favorable reviews on this site, I called Mold Gone to evaluate our situation. I contacted Joe Mulieri on a Friday and he was able to meet with us on Sunday. My husband and I liked Joe from the start - he was prompt, courteous, and thoroughly explained what needed to take place. We accepted his proposal and the work took place within a few days. Joe and his assistant completed the job in one day and left the area totally spotless upon completion of the work. Joe was very pleasant to deal with and a true professional. I would highly recommend Mold Gone and Joe Mulieri.

I had an energy audit done by Mr. Bill Smith w/ Magic in Your Attic. He identified mold in the specified area and recommended Joe Mulieri of Mold Gone. I called Mr. Mulieri on Saturday, he arranged to come Monday. He was prompt, courteous, explained the complete process. I showed him the problem area and two other areas which I thought were a possible problem (they were not). I was given an estimate, and Mr. Mulieri was able to return Saturday. The job was completed in 2 hours and cost 100.00 less than the original estimate. Excellent service. I highly recommend MOLD GONE.

Joe Mulinari is fantastic. From the first phone call he was helpful and worked with me on my particular difficult situation. He gave me plenty of time and explained everything well. His price was so reasonable, much lower than other places I called for similar work. His testing is thorough. I learned that is important with mold. He emailed me the 11 page lab report and updated it when the carpet results came through. Although the results now added removal of carpet to the job, Joe did not up the price. I really felt Joe cared about my situation and wanted to do a good job. He even made a special trip to my house before the scheduled day for work to drop off some mixed mixture I was to use to wipe off items in my office as i removed them to prepare for the carpet removal. He gave very clear instructions for its use. On the work day he and is assistant worked very professionally and carefully, as one must with mold. They worked really hard, I have to say. They were aware of the disruption to the house and were very good at cleaning up after themselves and left the place feeling clean and clear. Joe even offered to paint the now rather sad looking concete floor in my basement with proper paint for protecting from mold. He is amazing. I highly recommend Joe and Mold Gone. I found him through Angies list and was grateful for the review that pointed me to his company. You don't want to mess with things like mold in your house. You need to trust the person and that is Joe Mulinari.
