it went great they came on time and finished as they promised on time, We even had weather delays and they took it in stride. The job supervisor Michael kept us informed the whole step of the way. We were very pleased with the process. They demolished the basement and them did the remediation in just 3 days. The team was great! I would hired them again in a heart beat! They even called the following week to make sure we were happy with their services.

We contacted Mold Gone because the company doing mold remediation for us wanted us to find an independent company to test the air before and after their work. Joe came on time, did the tests, and sent me the results by email. He explained what he was doing and was personable and efficient. I sincerely hope I don't need him to come here again (because I hope there's no more mold) but if we needed more testing, I'd definitely choose him.

I had water damage in the basement room from a leaking AC. The carpet removal company we hired suggested contacting a mold remediation company to check for mold problems. I took their suggestion and got quotes from three companies. Joe was the last person to give us a quote. He came on a Saturday, which was very convenient for us. When he came, he actually pulled out the baseboard near the AC unit and showed me the black mold that was growing behind the board- none of the other guys did this. Joe's estimate was the highest, which he warned me about. He was really good at explaining what needed to be done. Because of the duration of the slow leak and the fact that I was (still am) pregnant, Joe suggested that we treat the laundry room that we frequently use. We felt that he was very nice, professional, and honest. He came with his crew over the span of one and a half days. At the end, he showed us what they had done. I was extremely pleased to see that the baseboard and drywall looked good as new. They even painted the drywall to match with the existing yellow paint on the walls. They cleaned up after themselves and the room looked perfect (aside from the bare concrete floor). They could only treat half of the laundry room walls because our storage space was too packed, but we were pleased nonetheless. Joe was great to work with. We trusted him so much much that we hired one of his guys to do extra work in the basement, independently of Joe's company. The guy did a great job, but an issue, which wasn't completely his fault, did arise. I was on the verge of a breakdown trying to figure out how to solve it because I felt that it was definitely partly my fault for not giving clear instructions but I also felt that it could have been avoided had the guy been an actual professional at the job (he did great with instructions). Like angels sent from heaven, Joe and his wife came to check on the job (even though they certainly did not have to) right as I was in the middle of discussing the solution with his guy, and Joe and his wife basically took care of the problem and told us that we must take it as a baby gift. It was great to see that in solving the issue, he not only was concerned for me, the customer, but he was also very considerate of his staff. I think what separates a good contractor and a great one is how well they handle any issues that arise. While we did not have any problems with MoldGone during the mold remediation process, the way Joe handled the issue that wasn't even his responsibility reassured me that I had chosen the right person to do the mold work. I highly recommend MoldGone to anyone who wants to get great results and a pleasant, headache-free work experience. Now I wish I could call Joe for all my house repair needs.

The job went very smoothly no problem the crew was very friendly and very professional and efficent.They worked very quick to complete the job and the entire area was cleaned -up completely it was almost like they were never there,The lead person on the job told us everything they were going to do up front. The area they were working in was barrier off from the rest of the house. When the job was finished we were shown pictures of actually what was done under the crawl space. We send BIG THANKS to Joe and his crew of MOLD GONE for a excellent job.It was a unpleasant situation that was made easier due to MOLD GONE services. Would I recommend this company yes. Joe is a very honest , up front type of person.

I called this service provider to see if he does mold remediation in cars. I received NO response at all. If he doesn't do it, then he needs to say that.

We needed a mold test done for our new home as we went through a very wet spring/summer season; so we had our concerns. Joe, the owner, was very responsive and pleasant to work with. From setting up the appointment, to ensuring that we didn't pay for more than we needed, and even explaining the results, he walked us through every step with great professionalism. When our tests came back clear, but we still were concerned about something beyond just mold, Joe pointed us in the right direction. Anytime we are concerned about mold, Mold Gone will be our local company of choice.

It went extremely well. Estimate and work scope were carefully explained, scheduling was prompt and the work was completed with great attention to detail. A pleasure to work with.

My basement flooded after the torrential downpour from Irene and the following tropical storm on a Friday. After doing some initial cleaning myself on Saturday, my son had a severe allergic reaction to some of the mold spores that I must've kicked up, that apparently came in with the mud and water. I decided to give Joe at Moldgone a call. He came out that same day, tested the air, and gave me an estimate. He even sealed my basement entrance in keep the mold spores from migrating upstairs. Actual work started that following Wednesday. His crew was great. They arrived on time and were friendly and efficient. They cleaned all the remaining mud from my basement and applied the remediation of the mold. Everything was done by days end. My basement was cleaner (and neater) than it had ever been by the time they left. After the work was done, Joe was kind enough to leave behind an industrial air scrubber to clean the upstairs air, for a couple days. Afterward, he's also checked in on us a couple times to make sure everything was well. Throughout the whole process, I was very impressed by Joe's compassionate and caring. I felt that he was honest and straightforward. I feel like he rescued me and my family.

It was great working with Joe and his team. They were all very professional and friendly. They moved all of the shelves in my basement and put them back after they finished. They replaced all of the drywall that they had to remove and even painted the drywall. They sealed off all areas that they were working in so that no airborne mold would get into other parts of the house. All visible mold is gone and everything is back where it belongs. I would recommend Joe and his team to anyone. I am extremely pleased with the work they did.

Overall, I am very pleased. Joe is responsive (especially via email). He was available to do the estimate and then the work within a reasonable amount of time. He took the time to explain about molds and the remediation process. He gave me insight into the cause of the mold (including oversights that may have occurred during the demolition which may have spread the mold!). He and Alberto were professional in the performance of the job. Joe is a business owner who understands and is involved in his business. MoldGone also has an informative website! I did not comment on the price because I have no frame of reference. Obviously my insurance company thought the price was reasonable.

I contacted Mold Gone based on the company's Angie's List rating to receive an estimate for mold remediation. Joe Mulieri, the owner, was incredibly responsive and addressed all of my questions and concerns. The estimate was more than reasonably priced. He and his crew arrived each day on time and put in more than an honest day's labor. Upon leaving the job each day the work area was cleaned. Joe went above and beyond the initial scope of the project in identifying additional mold and removing it at a nominal cost. I would highly recommend Mold Gone.

He is a really honest guy and did a great job. I would very highly recommend him. He did the job well and gave us some very good advice on how to keep the moisture out of our basement.

From my initial phone call to setup an inspection appointment until the final lab reports were emailed to me, Joe was very professional and friendly! His inspection of my 1.5 story house was thorough from attic to crawlspace, and included an outdoor inspection as well as humidity/dampness inspections and tests to hardwood floors, drywall, and floor joists. I had suspected mold was in an exterior wall of a downstairs bedroom due to the presence of a foul odor that appeared every spring (or during vey humid months). Joe provided me with great mold-reduction tips during the entire inspection; he is very knowledgeable! Some surface mold was found on the drywall in a linen closet, which Joe explained was caused by moisture. Joe gave me the name of a product that I could purchase (less than $10) to remove the mold myself. His inspection also included removing two small square sections of drywall, at the baseboard in the downstairs bedroom, where the odor was the heaviest. He then inserted a scope-camera with light into the wall to inspect the backside of the drywall and studs. No mold was found. Joe explained some possible reasons for the odor such as ground water or improper house ventilation. He did say that having central AC in the house is great for keeping humidity at a healthy level and that levels should not exceed 45%. Joe came back a couple of days later to perform three air-sample tests (first floor, second floor, and outside) and to patch the drywall inspection holes. His cleanup and repairs were great! The only reason he was not able to take air samples during the initial visit was because I had left the windows open in the house, which he explained could contaminate the samples. The samples were sent to a lab for analysis. A week later Joe emailed me a detailed document with the results. The document was clear, easy to understand, and compared my home's air quality with the average for the neighborhood. All went smoothly and I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone needing a mold inspection.

A is not a high enough mark for my experience. Joe is professional, honest, competent, and a wonderful person. I hope I don't have a mold problem in the future, or I would look forward to my next experience with this company. I certainly highly recommend their services. In fact finding Mold Gone has more than paid for made my subscription to Angie's list. They are so good, their dance card fills up quickly; I want you to know they are well worth waiting for. This was more stressful than your normal home repair and Mold Gone more than exceeded my expectations.

Joe the owner came out to the house, diagnosed the problem and scheduled a return visit during which he and his crew did an excellent job eliminating the problem.

Joe came out and did an inspection of the problem we thought we had. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt (in fact he arrived early), and went above and beyond what we expected to just determine whether we had a legitimate problem or not. He didn't find any mold (thankfully), and even though he spent a lot of time evaluating our situation, he didn't charge us. Had we found a problem, there is no doubt that we would have gone with him.

Everything went very well. They came to our house to inspect the mold problem and explain the procedure they would use to clear the problem. Then they emailed a proposal which detailed the work and included the cost. We gave the okay and sent a deposit. A week and a half later they came back and did the work. The cost was lower than other quotes and they were very professional. We are very pleased!

Joe came to check mold that was growing out from the bottom of a baseboard in mushroom form directly behind a toilet. I received a prior estimate from a mold remediator who said I needed to cut the wall and that the leak was behind it which would cost around $1000. I also had 2 plumbers state that the leak was coming from the toilet and not behind the wall. It would have been easy for Joe with his meter to claim the baseboard and the wall were wet enough and would require the need to cut open the wall but he didn't. He was honest and professional. Joe told me what to do to remedy the mold removal on my own and also told me how to replace the toilet(which was old) and charged me nothing for the visit. Always get a few estimates.

I spotted some mold in the upstairs bathroom and also started noticing a musty odor in the rooms upstairs. I decided to get someone in here to check it out and found Mold Gone was local and had excellent ratings. Joe came on a Sunday and took a look at my bathroom and some adjacent rooms. He also took the time to climb up into my attic to make sure the bathroom exhaust fan was properly setup and to make sure there was no water leakage and mold up there. Once he was finished with the inspection, Joe gave me the good news that I did not have a serious mold problem. He told me that the mold in the bathroom was just surface mold and most likely the smells would clear up once it was cleaned up. He also gave me a website and some suggested products I could use for the cleaning. Joe did the inspections and gave me some good advice all free of charge! I was very impressed with his generosity! I definitely recommend MoldGone to anyone that needs any Mold Inspection/Remediation. Joe is definitely an honest businessman that was a pleasure to deal with!

Joe and Michael did a great job start (inspection) to finish (clean up of debris). They were professional and thorough and very competitively priced. The details are pretty straight forward. Joe inspected my basement, discussed options and made recommendations. He provided me with clear and concise answers and supportive references including product information. At all times he and Michael were pleasant and worked steadily for a long day of thorough mold remediation and debris removal. The area that he worked on will be a much more safe pleasant area and appreciative. I highly recommend MoldGone and plan to hire them again.

I had previously hired Mold Gone to perform an inspection and air samples of a house I was in the process of purchasing. After buying the house, I had Mold Gone visit and perform some cleanup of an unfinished basement room. The room had minor mold damage (nothing too serious), but Mold Gone offered to clean it up as good as new, removing existing insulation, vacuuming all surfaces, treating the walls with an anti-mold paint, and installing new insulation. Joe, the owner, arrived with a helper to begin the work. While the helper worked on the room, Joe went on a wild goose chase all across Maryland looking for the right kind of insulation -- a foil-backed type that needs to be used in unfinished areas where HVAC equipment is installed -- but unfortunately, Home Depot, Lowe's, and other stores no longer stocked this type of insulation. Joe explained the situation, apologized, and special ordered the insulation for a subsequent visit. While talking with Joe, I mentioned that I had been trying to install new deadbolts, but the holes in the existing doors were slightly too small for the electronic deadbolts I had purchased. Joe offered to take care of this, purchasing the necessary hardware and guides to safely enlarge the existing holes. After the proper insulation arrived, Joe returned to my house, finished up the basement room, and then drilled larger holes in four separate doors and installed the electronic deadbolt locks I had purchased. This was above and beyond the call of duty, and I suspect he would have been happy to do it for free, but I insisted on paying extra since it saved me a lot of time and potential pain. (I probably would have destroyed the doors if I had attempted to drill the larger holes with my cordless drill.) Although it took a total of two visits to complete the work, Joe and his worker were nothing but professional and did an excellent job. Mold Gone is well deserving of the positive reviews it has received on Angie's List. I wouldn't wish mold on anyone, but if you ever have a problem, it's nice to have a competent and trustworthy company to turn to.

Joe Mulieri, the company owner, was very prompt in scheduling a time to come to my home to provide an estimate of the scope and cost of the work that needed to be done. He was very thorough in conducting his assessment and provided an estimate very soon thereafter and then arranged to do the work less than a week later. Joe's estimate was more competitive than another highly rated Angie's list member company, and I frankly was very relieved that the estimate was a fair amount lower than I had feared it might be. Joe's friendly and straightforward manner, however, were even more of a factor in my decision to have Joe do the work on my home. Joe and his two-man crew (one of whom was his son) conducted the work promptly and efficiently in one day, and they were very pleasant and friendly with my family, including my two young and curious children. The cost of the job was exactly what his original estimate had been. I strongly recommend Joe and would not hesitate to retain his services again.

I think Mold Gone treated us professionally and understood our "emergency" situation. I would recommend talking to them and working with them in the future. We found a foreclosed home in decent shape, which appeared not to have mold like many others we had looked at. No smell, nothing obvious on the walls. At the last minute our mortgage company decided we had mold (surprise!), possibly because the house description said that water may have penetrated the basement. They had no other info. The "water penetration" had been a plumbing leak that had filled the basement about 2 inches deep and then had been fixed. Our whole home inspector had not seen obvious mold but cracked, "I can't see behind walls." Very funny. Also the house appraiser did not notice or report problems or comments on the large sections of sheetrock removed in the basement, even though he reported some very nit-picky items to fix prior to us getting the loan. We had to have sudden mold remediation prior to settlement in about 2 days. My husband handled the mold situation, but I can summarize what I remember. We had a company come in who gave us a quote for remediation, but I don't think they even discussed where/ if they found mold. They only saw that some drywall panels had been cut out of the basement walls by the foreclosure bank, and we got a high, non-descriptive quote. Also my husband called Mold Gone after checking Angie's List. The company was well qualified and carried many certifications for this type and higher level work. They were professional from the start, realizing we had a quick turn around. They surveyed the basement pointing to some mold that the man said you would find in almost any basement and it was not dangerous. He said they also had to do air monitoring to see what spores were in the air. The air test showed some mold, but I do not know if it was normal mold or black mold or other "bad" mold. In any case it was low levels and would be fixed by the work Mold Gone would perform. The quote included all the steps and safety precautions and waste disposal that would follow appropriate laws and codes for mold work. Mold Gone performed their work quickly, which I think included some scrubbing, spraying with a mold/mildew killer and removing any carpeting. All walls were treated. They did not remove any more wallboard. We paid Mold Gone by check. We were satisfied as was our mortgage company. I can't comment on price except that it was a surprise job, so any price was a bummer. Probably Mold Gone is competitive with other companies for the level of service they perform.
