The MoldGone workers were super-efficient and congenial. For years, I had been trying to find my slides of Ecuador which I had taken 60 years ago. I had given up on them, but I described them to the workers and lo-and-behold they found them among all the mess and clutter down there. The price was very reasonable considering the huge area that had to be worked on. They also cleared out the garage. They were friendly and cooperative all the way. I would like to give this company a POH nomination.

I have noticed an increasing number of small reddish and bluish spots on my basement wall. We were doing an energy audit and the auditor was worried that any mold might be spread around the house with one of the tests. So I called Jon at Mold Gone to help me assess the problem. Instead of scaring me into spending (which I hear happens frequently), Jon said that this is nothing to be concerned about--most molds are perfectly benign and a certain level is perfectly normal. He suggested I run a dehumidifier in the basement, but other than that I should be fine--the moldy spots are not really anything I should be alarmed about. In the end, I did not pay Jon for his visit. As an aside, Jon came over as I was meeting with another contractor about fixing a driveway, which is causing water to seep against the basement wall (that's why i freaked out about the mold spots). The other contractor asked Jon and bunch of questions and was very impressed. That contractor does a lot of basement waterproofing work but thus far has not been able to refer his clients to good mold remediation people. He took a bunch of cards from Jon saying it'll be good to have an honest mold remediation company to work with.

Mold Gone turned the negative experience of having mold into a positive one. As a family with kids, we were terrified to find mold in our home in four locations. Mike and Jon quickly came to our home and tested all the rooms and made a recommendation and provided us with a quote. Within a couple of days they remediated all four areas which took less than one day. They also found some plumbing issues that we were not aware of and fixed before the holes were closed back up the next day. The great thing about Mold Gone is that they not only remediated, but also put the drywall back up and painted all the areas like new. Most mold companies remediate and you have to have someone else do the clean up work. I felt comfortable with the crew in my home and they talked me through it every step of the process by showing me photos of their work or in the actual work site. I hope I never have mold again, but if so, I would use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

There was no mold and moisture presence in the tested areas. Mike gave us the results and didn't charge us a penny.

I just bought a house and had some small patches of mold growing in the ceiling due to a roof leak. Another company quoted us $1500 for remediation services. My husband I were skeptical and wanted a second opinion. I found Mold Gone through Angie's List. Jon was very courteous and professional on the phone. I only had to wait a few days for an appointment for a free estimate. He called well in advance of the appointment when it looked like a job immediately before mine would take longer than previously anticipated and we bumped the appointment back a smidge. I really appreciated the phone call and rescheduling. He was punctual to our rescheduled appointment time and was exceedingly polite. After checking all areas for active moisture problems and finding nothing concerning, Jon assured me that I could surface treat on my own and that his services were not necessary at this time. We are still going to repair the drywall due to water damage and he advised me to call him if I have questions or if we find additional spots that we want evaluated once the drywall is removed. This good news was such a relief and I am so grateful! We will definitely call Mold Gone if we have problems in the future.

Let me preface this with the note that I have never hoped to deal with anyone in the mold remediation field, for obvious reasons, but I am thankful that Angie's List put me in touch with such an excellent business. We had a slow leak that had seemingly gotten worse with time over our garage from a pinhole leak in a pipe. Not huge, but clearly something I wasn't comfortable letting continue or attempting to clean myself. Called for an estimate and had Mike come out the same day - within a couple of hours! Clearly a pro, he knew exactly what to do, told me it wouldn't be too bad, allayed my fears of imminent doom and gloom. Just going off the excellent reviews here, and my instinct with Mike's professionalism, I contracted with them almost immediately. Had a little hangup on the scheduling front, but more due to the Christmas holiday than anything else - had MoldGone out in early January. Mike and his team showed up right on time, set about immediately to work, and did an absolutely fantastic job cleaning up the mold where it had been, and then reconstructing the area. One really cannot tell that anything ever happened! Their painting was excellent and Kevin even offered to touch up an additional area while he was waiting for other paint to dry. These guys are professional. These guys are courteous. Most importantly, these guys get the job done. Really happy with my MoldGone experience; while I obviously hope NOT to have to use them again, I know that if I need mold remediation in the future, these are the guys I want to turn to.

The owner of this company is John Gordon. He was fabulous. He was great. I like him very much. He was professional. He came when he said he would. He got right back with the results. He put my mind at ease when he said I didn't have any molds. I had no worries because I don't have to deal with anything. He gave me a 10-20% discount since I was a member of Angie's List which was very helpful. He was very courteous and helpful. I felt safe with him in my house. He was professional and he seemed to know what he was doing. He seemed experienced and once he did get the results I could trust his findings. Price wise compared to what is out there, they are all expensive but they are right in line. He is well experienced and knows what to do. I trust his findings.

Jon was courteous and responsive on the phone. Mike came out as scheduled and suggested that we try a home remedy first, and call him for an estimate if that isn't successful.

This was our second experience using Mold Gone, and both times they have been completely professional and helpful. We didn't even compare prices this time, since we'd had such a good experience previously. I called in the late afternoon on a Friday and was told to email with my information. Someone got back to me on Sunday, and Jon came to give me an estimate on Wednesday. We scheduled the remediation for the following Tuesday morning. The crew arrived on time. Upon removing the drywall, however, it turned out that the job was bigger than they had anticipated, and that the foundation and wall were still wet (even though it hadn't rained too recently). They needed to wait until everything dried out to continue. They were very apologetic, and left the room blocked off, with a large air purifier/dehumidifier running to dry things out. The crew returned on Thursday, after everything had dried out, to complete the project. Jon even stopped by on Wednesday afternoon to fill the exterior crack because there was a chance of rain on Thursday, and he didn't want to risk not being able to do it then. Even though the job took longer than expected, they didn't charge any extra labor costs, only $160 for extra materials (including the exterior repair). Overall, even though we lost access to our basement for a couple days, the whole job went as well as could be hoped (given that we had mold in the first place). And, as a bonus, our dog loved Jon. She is hoping for more mold so that she can see him again.

Outstanding in every way! Joe came out the first day I called and explained the details of the work to be done very clearly. The technicians/contractors did a very thorough, professional and tidy job. The work was completed in one day. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Highest recommendation.

Called company about 6 weeks ago to get remediation for mold in basement. Someone came to my home and suspected that the mold was caused by a leak in the house next door. Since the house was vacant, someone from MoldGone had to make a second trip when someone was at the home to ascertain that the mold was indeed caused by a leak in that house. I was advised to call them back after the cause of the leak was discovered and fixed. I was not charged for these visits. After the leak was fixed, I called Moldgone and arranged for someone to come to my home to give me an estimate. After accepting the proposal, I arranged for the work to be done. It was scheduled within two weeks. The crew arrived on time, did the work and completely cleaned up. I was asked to view the work before they finished. Everyone was very professional and I felt very comfortable having them work in my home.

I called Mold Gone and it started off well. Someone showed up and looked at the problem. He said that it was a small job and that it would cost at least $500. I asked for an estimate and they promised to get back to me in "the next week". Three weeks later I had not heard (the Christmas holiday week was in that period), so I called and asked when I could get the estimate. I got an apology for the lack of responsiveness and a promise that someone would get back to me "the next day." Three weeks after that, with no call from Mold Gone, I called another mold remediation firm and had the work done quickly and professionally. It did cost $1,000 but the Mold Gone people never even responded to my request for an estimate.

I knew I had a dampness issue in my basement for a few years. Water had been leaking in through cracks in outside bricks. I finally got the bricks pointed and called in a company to do what I thought would be minor repair work to the drywall inside. I was told I had a larger issue with mold involved and needed to get remediation done first. Well I was plain panicked about all of that not knowing anything about mold but having heard awful stories . I searched Angie's List, was very impressed by Mold Gone's reviews and called Jon. He picked up right away and we set a date to look at the property. Jon did an inspection and outlined the whole scenario for the treatment after which I could call my drywall guy back. I asked him if he knew someone to do the drywall. Jon said yes he could handle it but he might be more expensive at that part than the discount company I had first approached. I appreciated that and said I wanted him to take care of it from start to finish. He and his crew showed up right on time and worked so fast I was amazed. After taking down all of the drywall he showed me the problem. The good news was that the actual mold was contained and not as serious as I feared. The bad news was that there was no furring strips or insulation behind the old drywall. I think he was kind of shocked by that and took pity on me since it changed the estimated price but not by much. Also, he had to engineer some tricky stuff to make it all come together. It took 2 days which was what he said from the start but the weather was so good and things went so fast that the crew was ahead of schedule on the second day. Jon then poked around other parts of the basement and fixed other drywall problems that were not mold issues but bad construction. He didn't even charge for the extra , he said the crew was there and he had the time. Then I had the nerve to ask him if his guys could move a refrigerator for me. No problem. When it was all done you would never have known so much reconstruction had happened. If I hadn't seen the walls torn down with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. The finished product was so flawless with the paint matching perfectly and everything cleaned up so well!! To think I spent so many years worrying about tackling that basement. Now I know Mold Gone and my terror of mold is; well, gone. Now maybe I'll go out and get that colonoscopy I've been putting off.

Recently had my basement finished and while I was away for the holidays, water filled the window well (much like a a fish tank) and entered through the window. When we came back, about half the bedroom carpet was soaked. I pulled up the carpet, spent the next two days soaking up remaining water from the padding with towels, and left the window opened. I set up an appointment with mold gone about a little over a week later to test for mold via air sample. John came by and inspected the area, and said that an air sample was not necessary. That all I needed was to replace the tack strips, the padding, and that the carpet could be kept (but recommended shampooing it with a microbe killing solution). He said things were dry and that there wasn't a need to replace wall boards. Fortunate for me the water came through the window and streamed in over the window sill rather than coming in through the walls. Since he didn't take an air sample, there was no charge for the visit. I'm very happy with the service, and the next time I have water issues in the basement I'll definitely give him a call.

Our mission was to get rid of old and very dusty deteriorating old carpeting & create a healthier environment for our elderly father before he returned from a holiday. Because the carpet was so old, we had concerns about getting the job done in a way that would mitigate any possible air quality / health issues. We knew there was hardwood flooring underneath, but did not want to commit to refinishing until could see what we had to work with. Therefore, the carpet removal would have to be done in a way that would not damage the wood underneath. Jon at Mold Gone was the only contractor we called who seemed knowledgeable and willing to tackle the job on short notice. He came out to assess the situation on a Thursday morning and to our delight, got us on schedule to get the job done on Saturday morning! Jon and crew arrived promptly and got right to work. They used special air handlers and vacuums during the entire process to hold down the dust. The crew was all properly equipped and protected with masks, eye protection, jump suits, etc - they carefully moved the furniture and worked in sections, taking up all the old carpeting, underlayment, and tack strips - scraping up the as much of the residual "goo" as they could without damaging the original wood flooring. They worked quickly and efficiently, neatly rolled up all the old carpet pieces, packed it up & hauled it away for proper disposal. Everyone was very courteous and professional through the entire process. Jon walked me through to make sure all the furniture was put back in the right place and the job completed to our satisfaction. He provided excellent "next step" suggestions and advice. A very positive experience from start to finish!

They explained that it was a minor issue and that I could take care if myself. They didn't charge me a thing. They told me how to caulk, how to get a storm door installed, and do other repairs to get rid of the mold. They were very nice and honest. They came out right away when I called them.

Mold Gone was very punctual and completed the job in a satisfactory manner. They came out for a second time to finish an area that was missed and made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the work. I did not price this out or shop this out, but I believe the price was with in range, but I am not completely sure. I would recommend them due to their service, punctuality, and the quality of the work that was done.

The estimate was provided in a very timely manner by Mike (COO) during the very busy Hurricane Sandy period. Once we decided to schedule, we were accommodated within a few weeks. The crew arrived on time, was very nice and professional, and the job was completed thoroughly, efficiently, and beautifully. MIke, who provided the estimates and oversaw the work, was both friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and the entire team was a pleasure to do business with. I was very impressed with the full-service for both mold remediation and reconstruction back to the original state of the areas. I have high confidence in the quality of reconstruction and was pleased with the workmanship. Excellent job and big relief to have this work completely so quickly and efficiently! I would be very glad to refer this company to anyone who requires similar services.

We had a pinhole leak in a pipe inside the lavatory wall. It took a while before the leak became visible in the basement. We had a plumbing contractor open the wall and replace the bad pipes but a great deal of the wood and drywall was soaked. We had Moldgone give us an estimate and do the remediation work. They ripped out the damaged drywall and wood, applied a white sealer over the places exposed internally to stop and seal any mold growth.They repaired the baseboard and drywall and repainted all the affected areas. It took 3 men+ most of the day but it was done in one day. Besides sealing the basement wall that was affected we had them seal another basement wal that previously had some water leak in. The cost shown included both of these walls as well as the lavatory and about 6 square feet of the adjoining living room wall. They were on time, neat, and did a good job. The walls look like new.

Overall they did very nice work. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I can’t remember the quote but I would have chosen them, however, they were booked and I went with another company as they could start the job sooner. They called me back immediately. I went through the job what would probably be needed because I had already had a couple of people out, so I explained to them. Their price was fair, reasonable, and competitive with others. I appreciated the fact that they were honest, that it would be a couple of weeks before they could get to me. The person who came was professional because he could have told me that they could start next week and then made me wait but they didn’t. So I really appreciate the fact that he was very honest to tell me that the soonest he could book me was after a couple of weeks and that if there were a cancelation it would be sooner.

There was a storm that hit the area. My roof caved in and my basement flooded. THEN, as a surprise to our east coast community, we had an earthquake! OMG!!! The rest is stated above. Joe's team was wonderful!!!!!
