It was excellent. Jon was punctual both in coming to give us an estimate and in doing the work. He is very ethical. Once he saw the amount of work, he told us that he could just tell us how to mitigate it safely on our own since it was not live mold. He told us all this for free, after he drove an hour to come give us an inspection and an estimate. Some companies we contacted early on charged just to give an inspection/estimate. Jon gave us both the inspection/estimate and remediation advice for free. We decided to have him do the work anyway because, with an infant in the house, we wanted to ensure it was taken care of properly. Jon gave us a very reasonable quote and we scheduled the work. Jon did an amazing job. He made sure to work around other workers we had in the house at the time. He made sure everything was sealed and that he did not track any dirt, etc. into the house. He even took extra steps to keep even harmless vapors to a minimum. He did this because our nanny usually has our infant and another infant in the basement (we had moved their playroom upstairs for the day). He literally held a HEPA vacuum (I think that is what it is called) next to his paintbrush to absorb all vapors just so the nanny and kids could come back down to the basement immediately versus waiting an hour! After all was said and done, he actually lowered his estimate by $100 because it took him less time than expected. On top of that, he gave us a Angie's List discount. Obviously we hope we never have mold again, but if we do, we will definitely use Mold Gone without hesitation. We suggest that anyone that feels they have any mold contact Jon and Mold Gone to get it done. They were really great.

I just moved in the house and wanted to know if we had an a mold problem. Mike came out the same day and performed the inspection free of charge. He was extremely helpful.

It was fairly extensive, and they did a great job. 2 gentleman did mot of the work, though there supervisor was around to monitor the job. They cleaned up after themselves. They repainted the wall. We would have preferred to pay with check, but the company requested we pay with a debit or credit card. Otherwise, I was very pleased with the work. They worked to make this process as painless as possible.

I highly recommend Mold Gone for its service. My house had some water damage due to severe rain. I contacted Mold Gone to inspect my house and determine whether there was any mold, or concern for mold growth. Making an appointment was simple and Joe (the owner) showed up right on time. After inspecting my first floor and basement, he found a small amount of mold in my basement closet and some behind drywall, where water had entered into the basement. He provided instructions on how I could clean and treat the mold myself, and save from incurring charges. He could have easily engaged in scare tactics to run up the bill. He dedicated close to an hour and left without charging me anything. I highly recommend Mold Gone for their professionalism and honesty.

Jon was great. He knows his business and gives clear answers and suggestions. Fortunately for me Mold Gone services were not needed to remedy my basements bad smell. But, I kept Jon's card as I would highly recommend Mold Gone because of their knowledge and integrity.

Estimate cost was $2,600. And with no guarantee that the mold would not grow back. So for an extra $2,400 we got a brand new roof from another company.

Mold Gone arrived on time with Joe introducing his team. There were five men ready to work. I noted they wore air masks as they should when working in the room. A contaminated old bed was removed and we transported it to the dump. The baseboard and a portion of drywall were removed, the mold killed, and new mold-resistant drywall and baseboard replaced and painted. Carpet in one closet had to be removed. The rest of the carpet in the room was cleaned and vacuumed to appropriate health standards. All work was completed in one day! Mold Gone honored their Angie's List 10% off coupon. After the work was done, Joe emailed me a final invoice for my records. We paid by check on the day of service. Look, you have to be trained, certified, bonded and insured to perform this work. When we saw so many positive reviews on Angie's List, we new who to call. I highly recommend Mold Gone!

It went very well. I selected Mold Gone based on Angie's List. I called Mold Gone and arranged for a visit with Jon Gordon. I was able to arrange a visit within 2 days. The rep arrived on time. The rep, Mike Mulieri, was very helpful, reassured me that the mold was not harmful and advised that a dehumidifier should solve the problem. He answered several questions that I had and did not charge for the brief visit. Since this was the first time I had ever seen any mold in the basement I was concerned. Mike advised me that this has been an unusally bad year for moisture and humidity which may have also contributed to the problem. Mostly he said it was a common problem. was not harmful, and should be easily fixed by reducing the humidity. Knowing this was a great relief. I would definitely call Mold Gone again if I ever have another problem.

Numbers don't lie. Any contractor who receives the number of accolades and commendations as Mold Gone has received has to be legitimate. Jon did not disappoint. From the first point of contact he was professional and prompt. Scheduling was easy, however, his schedule easily fills up. Even after I had to postpone our initial consultation, he was courteous and understanding. We rescheduled the appointment for today. Jon inspected the mold growth and provided me some invaluable advice on how to remedy the issue. His knowledge was thorough and professional. Kudos to him for not leveraging the issue to bring in revenue. He told me how I can treat the issue at my expense (dehumidifier, Dry Lock) etc. He also reassured me that the mold was not as serious as he has seen, providing comfort and assurance. His prices are fair and completely aligned with the level of service his customers will receive. There aren't too many contractors out there like him. This by far was my best experience using Angie's List and justifies my subscription. Thanks Jon.

Extremely professional. He showed up on time. Gave me the product to clean and take care of the problem myself. He didn't charge me at all. It was so nice to have such an honest person come in and help me. I highly reccomend them.

Excellent. While a little pricey these guys do a great job. They even went above and beyond by removing 100 planks blocking the crawl space door and disposing of them. They also rerouted some duct work, temporarily fixed a broken drain pipe (later professionally repaired) and offered to dispose of any other items I wanted to get rid of in their dumpster. We were in the process of moving so this was much appreciated.

Mold Gone was an outstanding organization to work with. Every aspect of the experience was positive. They showed up exactly on time, and provided a proposed price quickly. It was easy to schedule a time for them to do the work. We had no idea how extensive the damage would be once they removed the wall and and inspected what was underneath. They explained exactly what needed to be done, and were very clear about the work they would do. Although they proposed replacing only a section of a wall where the damage had occurred, we asked them at the last minute to replace the entire wall. The accommodated our request easily and at a small increase in price. On the day of the work, they showed up on time, completed their tasks quickly, and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. We had expected a lot of dust etc from the demolition and construction involved, but we barely had to give the place a quick and easy dusting. It was easy to see why they have so many positive reviews, and I'm glad to add another one.

As a realtor I deal with many, many contractors, and I can say that my experience with Jon at MoldGone was excellent. An appraiser and loan underwriter cited two areas of mold as a condition of loan approval on a short sale my buyer was buying. I sent the appraisal to Jon and he promptly gave me recommendations for remediation since the seller didn't have money for repairs and my buyer had to do them in order to get the loan. After the repairs were made, they went back to visually inspect and satisfy the underwriter. I offered multiple times to pay them, but they wouldn't accept. Great price and very accommodating although he did not notify me quickly when results came in, I would still recommend MoldGone. Also willing to drive to my location outside of his general area which I appreciated.

As a homeowner for more than 11 years I have dealt with many contractors, some very good, others not so much. I have to say that Jon Gordon of MoldGone, LLC was the best. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He updated me with photos of the work being done throughout the entire process. He discovered that an earlier mold problem had been covered up and hidden with new drywall and paint by the previous homeowner. I now realize that the project was probably more involved than originally estimated but Jon honored the contract price and the Angie's List 10% discount. Jon and his crew arrived on time and started the job right away. After the site prep was completed the mold, damaged trim, drywall, carpet, padding, and tack strips were removed as needed to expose visible mold. The exposed walls were treated with an anti-microbial solution. After the surfaces were dry, a fungicidal coating was twice applied to the exposed wall surfaces. The walls were then finished with insulation and mold resistant drywall to a paint-ready status. The wood trim was also replaced. All surfaces and non-porous contents throughout the work areas were treated and cleaned with an anti-microbial solution. HEPA vacuuming was ongoing during the remediation. Jon did a walk through with me after the job was completed and explained the entire process again and made sure that I was satisfied with the work that had been performed.

Because I had forgotten to bring my trusty notebook when we were discussing things downstairs in the basement, before leaving, Joe voluntarily sat down and proceeded to write in detail the names of the products and where we could purchase them and reviewed the process of mold removal. He was extremely patient with all of our questions. He spoke equally to my husband and myself (a woman). I did not feel patronized in the least. He was very personable and willing to talk to share his background and work he had done in other situations to explain his ability to speak knowledgeably about our problem. We were in a rush because we had cleared the basement (thus discovering the mold behind the bookcase) in order for a contractor to come and re-build the walls we tore down 6 years ago... and the contractor was coming in 3 days. When we called in a panic, the person answering the phone -Jon- was very responsive, asked us to write an email detailing the problem and our location, and was able to then refer Joe to come out almost immediately so that we could know whether we would be able to start our project or not at all. Due to his advice, we can do some mold remediation over the weekend so that the contractor can start on time. The last thing we wanted to do want re-erect walls that would then hide a problem. After speaking with Joe, we feel confident that we are doing the right steps of remediation and do not have to worry about hidden nasty mold if we finish our basement. He talked about all different levels of approach and explained what was minimum, extreme best practices, and a solid middle ground that balanced cost with coverage. He was sincerely concerned for our mold safety, not in an alarmist way at all -- but in a way that reassured us that if we followed his steps, we could do it safely ourselves. And amazingly, Joe did not charge us for his expertise or time!!

I cannot speak highly enough about this company. I'm in complete agreement with the many very positive comments by others who have hired Mold Gone. Jon chose a team that is in line with his high standards as to how the work is done and who are courteous and honest. I thoroughly trusted them and enjoyed talking with each one of them. The whole team of four men was hard-working, talented, did extra little things here and there just as a courtesy, often without my even asking them to, and were patient with questions as they did the work, even creatively finding a way for me to be here while they remediated and still be able to get in and out of my condo unit through the plastic barrier they had put up. Jon stopped in several times during the day to supervise the team and the work and to ask if I had any questions or concerns. He's one of the most hard working but calm and engaging and knowledgable people I know. Jon is well educated and extremely effective in representing this company in his position as V.P. of business development. He continues his education in this field to grow the company and even further its already stellar reputation in the field of mold remediation. He's a complete pleasure to deal with. Of special note is how patiently Jon worked with me with question after question I had over several weeks time prior to hiring Mold Gone to do the work. I would recommend Mold Gone without reservation.

We had a fantastic experience! I used Mold Gone because of the stellar Angie's List reviews and they did not disappoint. They had someone at our house within a few days of my first call, and he assessed our mold damage in the basement almost immediately. Turns out the mold was forming because the floor had not been treated and drywall had been placed directly on it by the previous owner, so he gave us DYI instructions and didn't charge at ALL for the consultation! He went on to give us first time home owner tips on how to keep water out of the basement and what types of mold are dangerous vs something one can handle on their own. I was so ridiculously impressed with the professionalism and the punctuality of Mold Gone, and also the fact that I was not sold a single thing I didn't need. I will be using them any time I need a mold service and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area!!

From the phone call to schedule and the person coming out to do the inspection was excellent. Joe was very knowledgable and did a thorough check for mold in our basement and bathroom. He made some recommendations for minor cleaning up and to get rid of the musty smell from the carpet. He saw that the carpet along the one side of the wall was damp and made recommendations to dry it up and to cut out the old carpet pad and replace it. There was no charge for the inspection. Very professional and above all, very helpful. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.
