The best cleaning service, hands-down, that I have ever used. One common complaint among our friends is that cleaning services seem to start out strong, and then have deteriorating quality. I have experienced that myself with several services over the years. Not in this case. The cleaning was crisp and complete, truly excellent, over the entire nearly 3 years I have used this service. I am genuinely going to miss their work, now that I am moving out of the area. The owner, Julissa L., is very personable, professional and responsive, and flexible. I never had any problem whatsoever with canceling one or two sessions (e.g. when we were out of town and the house was unoccupied and hence didn't need cleaning), or when an urgency arose (e.g. when I asked her for an ASAP "deep cleaning" before putting the house on the rental market), or when I needed an off-week cleaning. On the unusual occasion that I asked for something to be touched up or addressed (e.g. in that narrow groove between the oven and counter) the work was promptly and properly done. One additional bonus is that they use all of their own materials and equipment, so I just don't have to deal with any of that. Truly excellent and I would recommend this service to anyone.

The owner is extremely hard to deal with and you can never get a hold of her. This last event, was very unprofessional and short notice! They said they would no longer be able to clean for me. There reasoning being- I am to far away.

I was not home at the time - they came in, cleaned the entire house, changed the sheets, and did an amazing job! I love that I don't have to home when the cleaning takes place - it's one less thing that I have to worry about.

I love them and look forward to them coming. They do a high quality job. They are very efficient and work as a team. There are seven people at times to clean the house. They can clean 150 to 500 sq ft homes. They can clean your house in just a little over an hour. They do everything and do a great job. It is not disruptive. You know I work from home, so you want for them to come in and out and clean the house that quickly. It is something that I value.

They were late but they did call to let us know this. My husband was at home when they arrived. There were lots of people cleaning. Unfortunately, none of them had spoke English. Even though Julissa had come out in advance and met with my husband to assess the job, things come up where you need to talk to the staff. Julissa has a policy where the homeowners has to take everything off the kitchen counters and the top of the cabinets (toasters, fruit bowl, vases, baskets, etc.) and then later put them back. Apparently she explained this to my husband, but I think the policy is sheer lunacy. When I want my house cleaned, I don't want to have to do this to before the house cleaner arrives. This also meant that after they left, we had to put everything back which was a lot of work. But the worst was that none of the these items had been cleaned. So before I put everything back, I spent quite a bit of time cleaning off the grimy build-up of grease and dust that you find in the kitchen. Isn't this why you hire a house cleaner? I would expect them to have been cleaned in the "deep-clean" for the price she charged. They missed some minor things here and there (a picture frame, lamp shade) . Otherwise they did an okay job. They cleaned under the stove and behind bookcases, which are things I really don't care about but I realize others might like that. I would much rather have them do all the tasks in the kitchen themselves and skip some of the other tasks. One odd thing is that we could tell that one of the staff took the lightswitch covers off of two or three of our light switches but didn't really screw them back in well. Also, one of them was missing a screw. One wonders what that was about. Our small house is only 875 sq ft and $280 was just too much to pay for the job they did.

They are excellent. They do a fantastic job, punctual, and friendly. I'm very happy with them. They are one of the recipient of Angie's List award in the advertising section. They are very professional, friendly, and I can't say anything bad about them except that they are terrific people.

I had major issues with them. The only reason I agreed to pay them that amount, was because they said they had a couple of projects that they deal with, and they didn't deal with them. I talked to the owner, and she was supposed to come out here, a couple of days after I talked to her, and she never called and she never showed up. I told them to stay a little bit longer, and redo an area, and that did improve, and they turned out and left. She said that they didn't have the right chemicals, and this was a long drawn out thing. The price based on what they were supposed to do was high, but they didn't do what they said they would do, and so the price was higher. They were supposed to clean my window, and they missed one of it, they moved the furniture in one room, and scraped my wood floor. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't have taken this, but I have so much going on. Originally when I called her, she said she was busy, and I should call her in a few weeks, and then I tried calling her, but she wasn't responsive, and then she responded to my email, and in the end she didn't show up at all. I pursued her because she had good ratings.

My husband and I recently moved to Sparks, MD from out of state and needed a house cleaner after our first cleaner abandoned us after just 2 services without any explanation. I found MJ Baltimore Cleaning Services on Angie's List and was impressed with their high rating and positive reviews so I gave them a call. From the very first phone call, Angie's List members didn't disappoint. Julissa (owner) was very thorough in explaining the services her company provides, their approach to cleaning, the team cleaning structure with a team lead and designated people to specialize in certain areas of cleaning the house, preferred communication method, availability, etc. We set up a walk thru appointment to get an estimate for a deep cleaning. Julissa once again explained her company structure, cleaning method, etc. After the walk through she was able to give me a price for the deep clean (which is recommended to thoroughly clean the house and bring it up to their level of clean) and a price for bi-weekly cleans. A couple of days later 2 teams of 7 people came to clean my ~6k square foot house. At first I was amazed at how many people were in my house at one time but I assure you the team leads had them all well supervised. In less than 3 hours my house was cleaned from floor to ceiling! Much to my surprise, they were even able to clean the walls where the movers had scuffed them. My floors were shiny, my vents were clean, my toilet and tissue paper was folded into flowers, they did wonders cleaning my oven hood (I thought it needed to be replaced instead it needed a thorough clean), my windows were cleaned along with the baseboards..... my house looked amazing! MJ Baltimore Cleaning's systematic way of cleaning returned remarkable results. I work from home so it is nice to have the cleaning done so quickly and thoroughly and it's not an all day event. The cleaning ended with an inspection by both owners and a walk through with me of the house. I would HIGHLY recommend their services, I am so happy with how well they took care of my house! They are very interested in giving you personalized service and are eager for your feedback. In addition, I've never seen a team so happy.... smiling, laughing, and even whistling while they worked. It was a pleasure to have them in my house and I can't wait to see them again for the next clean.

Called number provided. Spoke to lady who stated she was driving, to email her my information (house details, location, ect.. ) and she would contact me back in the AM.. Emailed as soon as I got off the phone and still have not have heard back from company. If you are too busy to accept new customers, tell me that on the phone! Don't waste my time!

They’re very good! They’re very congenial, cordial, thorough, and careful. They do VERY thorough work. It was $80 per cleaning and they were very good with my pet. I’d highly recommend them to others.

MJ Baltimore Cleaning has been performing house cleaning for me for several months now and I love them! The owner herself came to my house for an initial consultation. They did a deep clean prior to beginning regular bi-weekly cleanings. The team of 7-8 come in and have done a magnificent job in under an hour! They even put up with me being at home on occasion. I have recommend them to several friends!

MJ Baltimore Cleaning is Fantastic. Julissa the owner and manager is always a pleasure to work with and is extremely responsive to any requests that I have made. I am a perfectionist with a very high standard of "clean" and I know that Julissa has that same standard and that she trains her cleaning teams to be meticulous in their work. They work as a team so at least six -eight cleaners come into your house and they work hard and fast. Literally within an hour you will have a home that looks dramatically better! They pay attention to the little details like the dust on your ceiling fans or dirt under dressers that I have found most cleaning companies would ignore. Anytime that I made a special request they would have no problem accommodating. The bathroom sparkles when they are done and the wood floors have never looked better. I love coming home after they have cleaned and I never feel like they have missed anything. because I know they haven't! I feel so lucky to have found Julissa and her crew and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a company to clean their house. You will never look back...

The house was full of dust and mess--really terrible, with lots of dusty books and papers and me with allergies that made even touching them chancy. The first big cleaning was miraculous, restoring order and clearing my respiratory system, and the monthly visits have been as meticulous.

MJ baltimore has been cleaning my home for the past 5-6 months. The charge is about $350 for the first visit and about half that once a month thereafter. They will only clean monthly and refuse to come more often. So, as a customer of theirs, I still needed to clean myself in between visits. As a busy couple with few options where we live, we decided to us their service. They come every four weeks and, at first, would email to let us know when to expect them. When they stopped emailing to confirm, I began emailing to confirm. Sometimes she would not respond for days, often giving us just one or 2 hours notice before they showed up. Her reason for this is that she is very busy, running 2 businesses. It doesn't concern her that we might also lead busy lives and need her to respond. My husband runs a business from a home office and needs to plan in advance. Today, her crew showed up after only 3 weeks with no notice at all. She had words with my husband.

They are superb! The team of cleaners did a wonderfully thorough and left the place perfectly clean. They also work very efficiently as a team, and they stick to the tasks at hand.

It's been fantastic. Nothing has been broken or lost. They also take care of my dog.

Julissa personally supervised her team of 8 people during the cleaning of our house and they completely exceeded our expectations. They were professional and courteous, meticulous and conscientious, incredibly hard-working, and made our house look great. We would not have believed that our kitchen and bathrooms could be left so spotless, if we had not seen it with our own eyes. Kudos to MJ Baltimore Cleaning Services!

I am impressed and delighted by the work, which required three teams under Julissa's supervision. The team members were both friendly and professional-- and very hard-working. After my initial contact with Julissa and her estimate, the work was scheduled promptly and at my convenience. When I explained my allergies--which advance to asthma when I try to remove the dust from the books and papers that are inevitable in my professional life--Julissa immediately understood my needs and met them. The enormous improvement is already paying dividends: my respiratory system is happier. But I am also extremely grateful for the attention to detail that I saw in every room; for example, when the splash guards on my stove proved uncleanable, the service replaced them. All of this was accomplished in only a few hours with the large number of people working knowledgeably and in happy coordination with each other. This house was really very dirty but now feels as if it has a new lease on life.

Julissa met with my husband and during the initial visit, mentioned a shooting that occurred at the end of our street earlier in the month. While this event was unfortunate and disturbing, we do live in the city and Julissa was aware of this when she agreed to come to our home. My husband assured her the parties involved did not live in our neighborhood and that it is very safe. She told my husband she would be in touch regarding the quote for the deep cleaning we had requested. On 7/24/13, I sent an email as she had not contacted me regarding the cleaning. On 7/28/13, Julissa sent a response saying that due to the event that occurred, she would not be able to send out employees as she is required to look out for their safety. While I completely understand and respect her reasoning, I feel it would have been more professional for Julissa to reach out rather than my having to email her about the status of the quote.

I called her twice and left messages twice. I sent her (2) emails as well and never received a call or email back.

Julissa is wonderful. I called at the last minute and still, she managed to fit me in. The crew was running a little late, and she called and asked me if that was going to be okay. Of course...she was doing me a big favor! They were just a little bit later than planned and they worked very quickly and efficiently. They handled my things like they were handling their own special items. The crew was friendly and polite. They know what they are doing...when they've finished with an area, it sparkles. I would not hesitate to hire MJ again, and I have recommended them to family and friends.

They did a very thorough job on their first visit, taking books off of shelves, moving things to get behind, and working on a ladder to get into light fixtures. They have cleaned every other week for me, sometimes when I can't be home, which is very helpful. They work quickly and thoroughly, leaving things tidied and clean.
