I was very pleased. My house looked great.

When the crew came today we were still sleeping because we forgot today was cleaning day. Julissa usually sends an e-mail the day before but we did not receive one this time. Usually we straighten up the house a little to make cleaning easier. This time we did not. No problem! The crew not only cleaned but straightened up as well. They were quick, efficient, and thorough.

Recently, MJ cleaned my in-law?s home of 50 years before they put it on the market. They did a fantastic job and the house just sold. I definitely recommend them.

They never returned my calls

We moved to the Baltimore area about six months ago from Anne Arundel County. We had to stop using the independent cleaning service we used in AA County as they were not able to travel so far a distance. We set up with a large chain company because we didn't know any independent companies in the area and just needed to get started with cleaning. My husband and I both work a lot and I have a a disability that makes regular house cleaning very difficult for me. We were very dissatisfied with the chain company's performance. We were shocked at how bad it was because we are definitely in the "easy to please" category. Floors were not even being swept, let alone mopped. We asked politely for improvement and tipped but no improvement. This is what sent me to Angie's List. I joined in hopes of finding a reputable cleaner that would be worth the money being spent. I selected MJ and two other companies based on the number of reviews. MJ's was the fastest and most professional response. I spoke with Julissa who declined to provide a quote over the phone but offered to come out to my house at a convenient time. I was recovering from surgery and was home, so this worked for me. I imagine she would accommodate working schedules for the in-home estimate, if necessary. Incidentally, she matched the price of a phone quote I received from another local company that did not seem as enthusiastic and "on it" as MJ. In retrospect, I am very happy we had the in-home estimate. I met Julissa and her husband. They were very professional and pleasant. Julissa quickly assessed the layout of the house and presented her services in a way that made me feel confident about her experience as a businesswoman. She noted that my vents had not been cleaned by my prior company and assured me I would be satisfied with her services. Julissa inquired about which cleaning products I would be comfortable wither using, which I liked. Julissa came prepared to negotiate. My husband and I had decided a range that we would be willing to pay and she obviously had one as well. We agreed on the $130 quickly and I think we both felt satisfied that that was a fair price. I asked Julissa if she would be willing to quote me a reduced price on carpet cleaning if I would agree to having the carpets (two upstairs bedrooms and a hall, one large basement family room) cleaned every two months and she was happy to do this as well. When Julissa left, I felt confident things would work out. I also told Julissa that I would not be home for the cleans but that I would be leaving a house key with her team. She explained several people would come and the team leader would take the key and safely store it. Julissa found a day and time that worked well for me, which was great. We ended up having to reschedule the clean due to that ?snowquester? storm that never happened. She was very professional about this and I assured her I wouldn?t want her team coming out in bad weather?no problem. The day of my actual clean had a near problem of the team not being able to enter the house because they thought we were supposed to be home for them to enter and we were not home. I was sure I had told Julissa that we would not be home and to just go on in (key and check on the table) but perhaps I had not. It was not a problem at all. Julissa reached me after not too long a delay and we were able to straighten things out right away. I appreciated how on top of things Julissa is and felt good about how she would handle any future issues that might arise. She is clearly a hands on manager in this company. Now to the actual story. My husband and I got home after the ?deep clean? week and were positively blown away. We have had our house cleaned for years and have never seen such a fantastic and thorough job. Large furniture was moved to vacuum and I couldn?t find a spot that had not been cleaned. It is really hard to describe how much better it looked. I was just thrilled. I actually emailed her right away to say how happy I was. She actually took the time to respond and assure me that it would look this way every week? setting herself a high standard. The following week (not actually two weeks later because I wanted the house and carpets cleaned before the holidays), we were again very pleased with the excellent cleaning. We were also very happy with the carpet cleaning. Job was performed to our satisfaction. On a side note, apparently while cleaning my shower, a container of body salt scrub fell (off of a shower caddy that is not very securely placed, to be fair) and the lid cracked. Mind you, the thing was still fine and functional but there was just a crack. Julissa left the scrub on my kitchen counter on paper towels with a note that we should tell her how to replace it. Wow. Obviously, there is no need for her to replace it because this is a harmless accident that I am sure I would not have noticed it had she not pointed it out! However, I appreciate the level of trust she is trying to establish with my family, particularly since I am not home to see the clean. Julissa?s team was also very careful to follow our instructions regarding our two elderly cats. They have previously hid in closets and been inadvertently locked in for several hours by previous cleaners. Julissa assured me that all closets would be left closed or opened and then closed right after cleaning. She assured me the front door would stay closed at all times or would be watched. I appreciated her sensitivity to our cat concerns :). Needless to say, I am a huge fan of this company, already. They are a family business that seems to strive for admirable levels of quality and professionalism. I am also very thankful to Angie?s List for helping me find them and will recommend them to others on the List as well as friends in the area.

MJ has been cleaning for me for appx. 1 year, every other week. I expect a good job & I have always been happy. Prior to employing MJ I tried out 3 other companies on Angies list & only used them once or twice since they didn't satisfy me. With MJ If some small thing is forgotten, no argument, it is taken care of right away. If there is a cleaning task I want done differently again no argument but good follow through. I hope to have them working for me for a long time & would recommend them to my friends.

They have a large team that goes through the house very efficiently. The service is very responsive to requested changes in the scheduled days, but the actual time during the day that they arrive may vary. The house is very clean afterward. They get the cobwebs at the ceiling and the dust in the corners. We have a lot of small items in our house, which often get moved during the cleaning, so it is a good idea to put them away beforehand. This applies mostly to the kids' things (teenagers). We have been happy with their service.

Poor service and even wose management.

We have been living in this house for over 20 years and have never had a service come in to clean. Our home is ranch style - three bedrooms, with a finished family room and unfinished storage areas in the basement. The owner came out to the house to provide an estimate, after communicating with us by phone and e-mail. The following week, a double cleaning-team was sent in for an initial, complete house cleaning. Everyone worked hard, concentrated on their area, and displayed very positive attitudes! We really liked the fact that they sent a whole cleaning team, with a few people tending to each room. Toward the end of the cleaning, one gentleman walked around the house with us explaining what had been completed in each room and asking if we were happy with the results. The house truly needed a thorough cleaning and we were thrilled with the end result! Since it is just the two of us at home now, and we don't smoke or have pets, the owner suggested they come out every four weeks to keep the house clean. We have been very pleased with their work!

On time, pleasant, worked really hard, end result - beautiful clean house

Best cleaning we ever had. They came on short notice. 2 crews finished in less than 3 hours. They picked up items on surfaces with permission, to dust. They left house shining. Got areas no crew had reached.

I called Julissa the week before Thanksgiving to give me an estimate on a moving out house cleaning. It was an old house where I had construction workers and painters doing work. She called me back and arranged a time to stop by. She was very accommodating, kind and professional. We set up a time. She arrived with 10 or 12 workers and they went about with their work. She pointed out problem areas and finished about and hour and a half later. Everyone worked well together and the house looked 100 percent better. I would not hesistate to use her services in the future.

They do a great job. They're in and out in no time with their team of cleaners -- with friendly faces and no drama whatsoever.

We were very happy with MJ Baltimore Cleaning's job on our house. We have had a cleaning service in the past, which we hadn't been happy with. We found Julissa's company on Angie's List and decided to go with her since the company is highly rated. She came over for an estimate for a walkthrough of the house to get an estimate for a deep cleaning and maintenance cleanings. Julissa was very professional and explained everything her cleaning crew would be doing. We set up an appointment for the deep cleaning later that week to take place while we were at work. We came home from work and found our house probably cleaner than it's ever been. We will certainly be using Julissa's company for cleanings on a regular basis now.

Julissa and Renzo were very professional from the beginning. They came out together to do the estimate and walked through the house with me describing what their crew would do. This is my first cleaning service so I was very surprised when they said the would move the furniture and even take the cushions off the couch and vacuum under them! They also said they would move basket and items from our shelves to clean under them, etc. They day before they were scheduled to arrive I texted Julissa to let her know that my daughter had come down with a fever. She responded very quickly and was able to move the cleaning to another date so my little girl could get better. The crew just came and did the cleaning and as described the house is spotless! I checked and there is not a crumb to be found under the couch cushions. This is even more remarkable than it sounds when you know that we have two very little children who frequently snack while sitting on the couch! The team performed beyond my expectations. All the ceiling fans have been cleaned. They mopped the floors multiple times. It smells so fresh and clean, but not like chemically cleaners in the house. They were also very friendly and courteous. They even cleaned on top of our cabinets and bookcases. This was a wonderful experience and I'm really looking forward to the bi-weekly cleanings in the future.

WOW! I have very high standards and Julissa, her husband and the cleaning team exceeded every expectation. I appreciated that Julissa came out to give me an estimate and took the time to meet meet with me, look at my home and describe what would be done. After that the cleaning team descended on my house and they got to work! I think there were at least ten people on the team and they were cleaning for about two hours non-stop. Once they were done Julissa's husband did a walk through with me to make sure that I was satisfied. I highly recommend MJ Baltimore Cleaning Service. Julissa is a pleasure to work with. She is up front about pricing during the initial estimate. The crew is very punctual and efficient. I have animals, and you couldn't tell on the days they were here. They also added personal touches to the cleaning, like making towel animal or folding throw blankets a special way, which I always enjoyed coming home to. Unfortunately we just moved out of the area.

I found MJ Baltimore Cleaning on Angie's List before we moved into our current home in early 2011. They did a move-in deep clean. They were punctual, professional and did a fantastic job. I called them back a few months ago to have them continue to perform bi-weekly services. I couldn't be more pleased with Julissa, Renzo and their entire team! They get the job done!!! I highly recommend them.

Julissa and her team did a great job. We are definitely going to continue using MJ for our regular house cleaning.

Two teams totaling 15 people came with Julissa. They thoroughly cleaned all of the rooms & areas I listed. I was very happy with their work & will have them come back every 2 weeks.

I rent my house when I am out of town on short term sublets. My last cleaner just decided not to show up so I was desperately trying to find someone who could clean the house in the next few days. Julissa was incredibly kind, was able to get me a quote the next day and had her crew out for cleaning in the next few days. The house was spic and span and looked great. She and her team are very reliable, always showing up when they say they will and do a great job. I feel very lucky to have found her.

n/awe had a pleasant mail and phone exchange, agreed reviewing our location for cleaning (small office). after review Julissa expressed interest to do the job and promised a quotation by email within 24 hours. she never send the quotation, we did not hear whether she wants the job or not. appears not very reliable or professional.

They call before they come and are very efficient. She communicates with me via email. I am very happy with their work. I have no reservations about recommending them.

There are a few reasons we are rating the overall service a B - but do not want to go into them here. Ultimately this company did an outstanding job of cleaning our very dirty/dusty house - and that is what matters most. They showed up with two crews (a total of 16 people) to perform the deep clean - and they were done in less than two hours (but it looked like they spent all day in here). The price they charged was very fair and we would hire them again for a deep clean. Unfortunately, they are not flexible with the days of service for their designated areas- they can only come to the Brewer's Hill/Highland Town area on Tuesday's, which does not work for our schedule on a regular basis.

Called three times. Julissa never called back.
