Testa Asphalt Paving

Jim and Crew did an excellent job resurfacing our old asphalt driveway. Resurfacing (putting a new layer of asphalt over the old, damaged surface) is much simpler and cheaper than starting from scratch, and with modern materials I am optimistic it will last.

Vito, Jim and Crew did an excellent job on resurfacing our driveway. Contacted a few other paving contractors and Testa's price was the least expensive. Even though their price was the cheapest, the quality of work was outstanding. Plan to continue using them for many years in keeping my driveway in great condition.

Work was performed in time but they buried half of one of my sprinkler system head under asphalt and I didn't realize until my sprinkler was turned on last week. I called but Vito the owner is not answering my phone calls and texts. Also on the contract it says they accept Visa and MC so when I tried to pay them by MC Vito was having attitude problem and started arguing my saying we don't accept credit card and was trying get $75.00 more from me for paying by credit card. I paid for sealcoating but he said he will be back in fall to sealcoat driveway once it cures. I don't know much hopefully he will return.

Vito was very responsive and answered all of my questions. He and his crew did an excellent job with resurfacing or driveway. Highly recommend! I contacted 2 other asphalt companies in frederick, both had no response.

I was very impressed with Vito from the minute I met him. He is a young man but knows his stuff! He explained exactly what he and his crew could do, and they followed through as promised. We were delayed because of the weather event in the area, but Vito kept in touch every step of the way. The crew was there when promised and were very polite and pleasant. My husband and I have already talked to Vito about other work we need done and look forward to working with him again!

From the first, the estimation lady's words and the work crew's words were different. I heard that the current asphalt will be removed before repaving. But Vito said that "resurfacing" in the invoice does not include removing old asphalt, so I have to pay way more if I want removing it. And he told me that just adding another layer without scraping out would be OK with my driveway. However, the result was different from what he said. My driveway became too high and the edge on a side became steep. I raised concern of the unstable edge susceptible to cracking over time. He said soils would be helpful and promised multiple times that he would add soil to a side of paved driveway next day. However, his crew didn't come. I called and emailed the lady many times and received other dates for the promised work, but no work has been done yet for 2-1/2 weeks. Overall, I am not satisfied with their attitude to me, a customer.

Jim and Vito offer exceptional quality at an affordable price. They fully addressed both the technical and aesthetic aspects of our project in equal measure. They responded rapidly to our request for a quote; and the job was scheduled and completed quickly. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Their customer service is top-notch. Having been a professional in services sales for over twenty years, I hold a very high regard for customer service. Vito Testa was swift to respond to my request for a quote, and his quote was more than merely competitive with the others I'd already received. I was allowed to take advantage of the work already being done in my home's vicinity in order to get the job I needed done attended to quickly and affordably. Communication was frequent and convenient. And although I had to leave the job site to attend to personal tasks, he and the crew waited for me to return to review the job to my satisfaction even though it was completed before my errands were finished. I was especially impressed when he contacted me later that evening of his own initiative to communicate that he had further reviewed his video and photos of the job after leaving and decided that it was not quite perfect enough to satisfy him to his standards although I had been fine with the result. He then offered to return and touch it up again at no additional expense to me! Wow! Now that's the kind of customer service I will recommend to anyone in need of asphalt work! Thanks Testa!

Mr. Testa did a wonderful job of sealing driveway and even came back for some touch up. My only criticism is the contract said he would fill the cracks in the asphalt and only 1 of about 6 were filled. I called and asked him to come back and they did, but only touched up the driveway with sealant. They did not fill the cracks as contracted. I still would recommend them for sealing as the driveway looks beautiful. I just wished he had filled all the cracks with asphalt as he suggested he would in the email.
