Mike came in, identified and fixed the problem. I was very pleased with the work he did and would recommend him to anyone requiring services.

Mike is very reponsive and calls or shows up when he says he will. I have used him in the past for a little more extensive repair/replacement and found him to be the same way then. He gave me an estimate that he could show up between 2-4pm, but would call me at work to give me a 1-hour notice of the exact time he'd be there and I could come home then. I really like that I didn't have to wait around for him to show up whenever. Fast worker and quality work. Also, reset the ice maker valve where it taps into the cold water line as it was looking a little leaky and didn't charge for this. Gave me some advice that my outside spigot may need to be replaced soon so I should keep an eye on it.

Mike Dornisch is my plumber. He will always be my go-to guy. He knows plumbing inside and out, is a small business so very accessible, and he is reasonably priced. He is always on time, communicative, and friendly. In this instance we had planned the root treatment and I needed him to do some desoldering and replacement of various sink fixtures to help me finish a DIY remodel. He did an excellent and fast job of that, told me everything I needed to know, and left me with the hardware I needed to finish the job (making the supply line hookups and slip washer on the P trap). He is overall just a great guy and a great plumber. You should be so lucky to have him work on your house!

I contacted Mike at Diamond about a leak from my upstairs bathroom and leaking into my kitchen below. Mike was honest and said he was booked the next couple of days and asked if I could wait. I agreed to wait and Mike promised to call back and confirm an appointment time. Mike followed up as promised and we made an appointment. I personally could not tell the origin of the leak. Mike began investigating and found the issue within 30 minutes. The leak was not in the bathroom but behind the wall above the sink in a pipe that connected to a roof outflow. Mike completed the repairs and cleaned up everything. He was friendly, professional and communicated with me throughout the repair process especially concerning cutting through drywall to find the leak. Mike has great plumbing skills and the experience to find the leak in record time. I trust Mike and highly recommend him to all.

The plumber arrived withing the given time frame. He performed the service in a reasonable amout of time. He cleaned up any mess he made. I was satisfid with the service.

I had hired Diamond Plumbing to repair a leaky kitchen sink and replace my garbage disposal about a month earlier and I was very pleased with Mike's professionalism and service. At that time, I asked him to provide an estimate to replace my 20-year old water heater. Mike was very knowledgeable and responsive, calling if/when he said he would, and arriving promptly. He protected the carpet when draining/removing the old water heater and thoroughly cleaned the area upon completion. He secured the permit and arranged for the the WSSC inspector to come at a time that was convenient for my schedule. Because of the high-quality work and overall experience, I will not hesitate to contact Diamond Plumbing for future plumbing needs and will be enthusiastically recommending this company to friends.

One of the showers in my mother's home would not turn off. This started on a day when she was on the way to a doctor's appointment. Her caregiver needed to shut the water main off and then turn it back on as they needed to run water, letting the shower just run. I looked for a plumber in her neighborhood and found Diamond on Angie's List. Mike is great. He came the next day and repaired that shower, fixed the tub in the master bedroom (it had no hot water), and worked on a couple of faucets. The never ending shower is in the basement and was build with spare parts. It did not have a shut off valve that we could fine. Mike spent some time on this, and now it works great.

We noticed the pressure release valve was leaking on our second floor condo. We researched Angie's List and found Diamond Plumbing as an A rated plumber. I called to schedule an appointment and left a message on his answering machine on a Sunday.This was not an emergency and I stated that he could call me on Monday during normal business hours. However, I got a quick return call within a few hours. I told him I found him on Angie's List and scheduled my appointment at a time that was convenient for me. During that call I asked the pricing and was given a price quote. He also explained to me about the coupons on Angie's List. Since there were two offers he took the time to tell me which was a better deal in my instance. The plumber arrived timely during the 3 hour window he indicated he would be there. He not only replaced the pressure relief valve, but he also explained what he was doing and how our hot water tank provided the heat for the furnace in our condo. His bill was exactly within the price range he gave me, and he gave me the Angie's List discount ($20) without my even needing to print the coupon or ask for it. I did appreciate this extra courtesy. The plumber was professional, courteous, punctual, and did quality work. Overall, I thought that this was a very positive experience and I would not only hire him again, I would recommend him to friends and neighbors. I am new to Angie's List and this was my first time using Angie's List.. I must admit, this was the best money I every spent. THANK YOU ANGIE!

Our water pipes are buried in the concrete slab foundation of the house. Seven years ago, the pipe under the family room started to leak. We hired a plumbing company. Three guys arrived, cut a hole in the wall, jack-hammered the floor, and fixed the leak. Well, we thought it was fixed until a few months ago - due to a huge water bill - we discovered that we, again, had a leak. Since the pipes are in the slab, we did not know where the leak was located until water started seeping into the family room. Based on his reviews on Angie's List, we called Mike at Diamond Plumbing. He arrived promptly for the estimate and on the day of the service. He had to jack-hammer the floor to get to the pipes. He worked steady for five hours to make sure the job was done correctly. It seems that the three guys who did the job seven years ago used a pressure connection instead of a soldered joint. It was either a bad connection;or wasn't installed correctly, and it started to leak again. Mike was very knowledgeable and honest. We had a couple plumbers recommend that we have the house repiped. Mike did not feel that that was at all necessary. We were happy for his input, his professional opinion, since it saved us thousands of dollars. Not only did he do a great job, he is low key, easy to talk to, and just a nice guy. He is now our plumber of choice!

It was an extremely proffessional performance. Probably the best experience I've had with a plumber in my 70+ years. He, first climbed on the roof and did the snaking. He then recommended that we should probably replace the piping behind the washing machine to improve machine drainage. He provided a price estimate and proceeded to remove the old pipes and install the new. A very professional He did a very professional soldering job. He completed the project by moving the machine back in place after running the machine, cheking for leaks. The whole project was completed in slightly over one hour. A senior rate of 10% was provided. I would recommend this company to anyone.

While house-sitting for my son, I contacted Mike Dornisch of Diamond Plumbing to install a new electric water and expansion tank. The existing tank was still functioning, but had been in place for 15 years. I decided to be proactive and replace it before it might fail and flood the first level of the townhouse ruining carpet, furniture, etc. I was in town for a week, and Mike was able to perform the work to accommodate my schedule. We had originally scheduled the work for Tuesday morning, but Mike ran into problems on the job he had started on Monday and needed additional time to complete those repairs. He called several times to keep me informed of his progress and to let me know he would arrive on Wednesday between 10:00 and 11:30 to install the tank. He arrived at 10:30 Wednesday morning as promised. The installation was completed and the area cleaned up nicely. I was very pleased and will definitely contact Mike to do some other plumbing improvements I have in mind.

Mike was quick to respond to our call and the estimate seemed very reasonable. We had a lot of little jobs for Mike to tackle. He spent a long day and got everything done. We did have a reason to call him back for another job and he excelled again.

I like him. He is very honest and does great work. I would recommend him to anyone.

Mike was very courteous, prompt, and honest. He instilled confidence in me from the first interaction on the phone. He arrived promptly as scheduled and immediately got to work assessing the issue with my tub. He gave me an idea of what he thought it was and then showed me exactly where the water was leaking from and told me what the repair would cost up front. The work was nicely done, and comparing costs from other plumbers I have worked with in the area, very reasonable. I would recommend Mike's services to anyone and he will be the first person I call when I have plumbing needs in the future. Bonus for Bowie Leavitt house owners: He lives in the neighborhood and owns a leavitt house, so he knows the ins and outs of the plumbing and its issues.

We originally called because it was difficult to turn on the water in the bathtub and the switch to drain the water was loose. Mike took the time to assess the situation and explain as much as he could over the phone...and even showed up the very next day! We assumed it was probably going to need to be replaced but Mike said he could fix it and it was substantially less than a replacement...and he was SO right! The shower/tub worked like new again, so we asked him if he could also take a look at the shower in our other bathroom, which also works like new again.

I read the reviews on this company and was pleased with what I read, I must say that Mike did not disappoint. He returned my call quickly. He was very prompt and courteous; he found a couple of problems we didn't know that we had. Gave us an estimate on all the issues, told us what needed to be fixed right away and what could wait. I had called him to install a new kitchen faucet, he was so reasonable, I had him complete everything. I did not have a heart attack with his bill and I thought it was reasonable and very fair. Needless to say, I would definitely call on Diamond Plumbing again. Thanks Mike for a job well done.

The appointment was for between 9:00-10:00 AM. Mike arrived at 9:05 AM. He sized-up the problems; explained in plain English what needed to be done and the cost. He immediately went to work. When he encountered unexpected problems Mike worked through them and kept me informed. Diamond Plumbing is on my speed dial for future plumbing needs.

We just bought this house, and the plumbing was almost 50 years old. While installing the dishwasher, Mike pointed out numerous leaks under the sink, where all the plumbing in the house converges. The inspector had missed these leaks. Mike promptly provided an estimate and discounted a number of the items, because some of them were easier to do, since I decided to replace basically everything under the sink. I can't really judge the overall price because we did not get any other estimates. I didn't get any other estimates because I was so impressed with Mike's knowledge and skill and ability to explain problems and alternate solutions clearly, that I did not want to work with anyone else. The work was done as scheduled, and it looks great. The valves Mike put in are much better to work with (and don't leak). If I have additional work, I wold call Mike again in a heartbeat.

The job required a great deal of effort as the connections were virtually unreachable (I had spent 3 days trying to get to them and I have considerable experience with household plumbing), and required two special tools. We could not be happier with the plumber, the job he did, the cost and professionalism of his work. Not to mention the fact that he was extremely prompt where we had been essentially 'put off' by two other compnies contacted. Diamond Plumbing did a fine, expeditious, completely reasonably priced job. We couldn't be happier.

I discovered a small leak in a pipe in the basement over the weekend and called Diamond Plumbing on Monday morning to schedule non-emergency service. Mike Dornisch, owner, answered the phone and we scheduled service on Tuesday, with him to arrive between 9:30 - 11:30 am. On Tuesday, Mike arrived just before 9:30 and I showed him the leaking pipe in the basement. During his scan of the other pipes in the basement, he pointed out a joint over the wash sink that was dripping. This had not been noticed before since it dripped in the sink itself. Mike repaired the original pipe leak quickly; however, the second leak over the sink was more complicated since it involved a four-way joint. Mike completed the complicated repair while I watched - quite impressed with the skill with which he joined the pipes. He was very careful to support the four pipes while he completed the connection since it was clear that a previous repair by a different plumber had left the pipes sagging and out of line. He cleaned up completely and installed some pipe support clips so that the pipes were much better supported than before. I think the price charged was very fair considering the time and skill needed to make the repairs. Will certainly use Diamond Plumbing for any additional work needed.

A toilet that had previously been repaired by Diamond Plumbing began to dysfunction again. I notified Diamond Plumbing and they were out to check things out the following day. It was a minor adjustment that needed to be made; i was not charged a fee for the evaluation or minor adjustment.
