We were very pleased with Ariel and Roberto's work. They were punctual, professional, friendly, courteous, and extremely careful and conscientious about their work. Their work was outstanding. Highly recommended for small and large jobs.

The remodel took longer than anticipated due mostly to the damage to the substructure due to previous leaks, Ariel kept us informed when addition work or resources were needed and any changes in the timeline. The workman was wonderful - hard working and tried to minimize our inconvenience.

They were professional, prompt and had great communication. They came out to give an estimate the same day we called and fit us in their schedule to do the work the next day. We could not be happier with the work that was done and would not hesitate to call them for other projects we have.

All the work performed looks terrific. Ariel was very professional and was flexible with my wife and my schedules. These guys are know what they're doing. Definitely would use them again.

I wanted someone who could do the work I could not do. Ariel listened to me and did the job I wanted for a reasonable price. i will call him back to put up a backsplash and raise part of my ceiling in my kitchen.

We first met with Ariel Goodman in June, when he gave us an estimate for removing a portion of the wall separating our kitchen from our dining room. The project was completed more than three months later. Kitchen remodeling is not for the faint of heart. The total project came to just under $13,000 not counting repainting, but Pikesville Remodeling's portion was less than half of that. Here is what Ariel and his assistant, Roberto, did for approximately $6,200: Opened kitchen wall, framed as needed, hung drywall, plastered, primed, built bulkhead for rerouted hvac, installed base cabinets and trim, repaired holes left by electrician, removed chair rail molding and repaired plaster, removed and replaced base molding, installed shoe molding in dining room, installed two cabinets, and worked with granite installers to bring cabinet bases to right height for new countertops. In addition, the two men cleaned up after themselves every day and hauled the construction debris. The rest of the expense went to an hvac team who rerouted ducts, an electrician who rerouted outlets and installed new lighting, a granite company for new countertops, and a kitchen cabinet company for two new cabinets. None of this was a surprise: Ariel told us these things would need to be done. It's possible that if we had used his electrician instead of our own, the cost would have been less. This is the second time I have remodeled a kitchen. The previous time, in another state, I hired a contractor who took care of all the labor - carpentry, cabinet installation, plumbing, electrical, etc. - but I had to supply the materials. That was an easier process for me: the complete kitchen renovation took only a month after I had assembled the materials, and I did not have to coordinate the workers. This time, for a partial renovation, Ariel took care of the materials but I had to coordinate the various workmen, who didn't always coordinate all that well. This approach probably saved money, since Ariel was not taking a percentage of the other workers' fees, though it made the project take longer, and a few small electrical jobs had to be redone because of missed communication. EVALUATION: Ariel is honest, skilled, clean, and eager to please. He always returned phone calls, texts, or emails very quickly. He usually arrived later than he predicted, but he nearly always let us know when he was running late. (I think his habitual tardiness was because as a service to us, he was fitting our small project in around other projects he was working on, rather than making us wait until he could do the whole thing at once.) He was creative at finding solutions when we ran into difficulties. Though his final bill was higher than his original estimate, that's because we asked him to do a lot more than he originally planned to do - he was always upfront about costs. If I ever need to do more remodeling, I will ask Ariel to do it.

I needed the job done quickly and Ariel Goodman, owner of Pikesville Remodeling, promised me that the work would be completed by the time I needed it done and it would be done well. He and Roberto worked non-stop to finish a quality job within about 3 days. They cleaned up completely and even put my books back on the shelf. They kept me in the loop as to what they were going to do and when they would be doing it. I plan to use Pikesville Remodeling for any future remodeling work and will recommend them to friends and family.

I was very pleased with Ariel and his company. They came in explained what they were going to do each day and were very sufficient in the process. Ariel was very nice and polite, communicated with me when he said he would. It took about 2 days to complete the dining room by replacing the sheet rock, plaster, prime, and paint. It only took a few hours to install the sheet vinyl in the upstairs bathroom. At the end of each day they cleaned up their mess and left with me having a smile on my face. I WILL definitely use Pikesville Remodeling again in the future.

Let me start by saying I'm extremely detail-oriented and that attention to detail is something I look for in any business. I have been using Angie's list for many years, and of the dozen or so companies I've utilized this company was so good that it warranted my first review ever! Ariel was punctual, professional, and reasonable. He called that evening I sent a service provider email. He performed an estimate at the promised time. He is genuine and authentic. Really cares and takes pride in his contracting work and prides himself on perfection. Customer satisfaction and overall customer experience is at the highest levels. He was also very professionally attired, well spoken, and polite - good manners and etiquette are a rare find in this business. He actually took time to play and entertain my 4 year old son! Ariel's work and work ethic are fantastic. I was really impressed with the ongoing communication--during the scheduling and also while the work was in progress. I gave a B in price only because the estimate seemed high for the amount and extent of the work to be done. However, I didn't do any further research to get other bids for the work; after meeting Ariel I knew that he would stand behind his work and that is paramount! Even though he probably does mainly larger jobs he was genuinely concerned that my smaller job was done to my satisfaction. I am in the process of creating a list of minor household repairs and I will definitely be contacting Pikesville Remodeling again!

Ariel came recommended from Honest Abe Plumbing after we had plumbing work completed. He was thorough in his communication and was determined to go above and beyond. The work was quick and done well. He even followed up a day later to make sure all was OK.

Ariel's communication from the beginning was great. He came out soon after I contacted him to give us and estimate. When we finally decided to go ahead with the project he fit us into his busy schedule. At the last minute we changed our idea to include an angled wall in the closet. They took it all in stride, said it'd be a more work but was no problem. I was kept up to date daily on how things were going and what they expected to accomplish the following day. We are thrilled with the final result!

Pikesville Remodeling (pikesvilleremodeling.com) patched the hole with drywall, plastered it and then some, smoothing existing irregularities. The surrounding area looked better than before they started. After they painted you would never know there had been a hole in the first place. They were professional, diligent, and courteous. Though it was a small job they were meticulous, maybe even perfectionists.

They came when they said they would come, they brought all of the materials that they needed, they finished the job when they said they would finish it (one day), cleaned up after themselves, and did an overall great job! We wanted the entire first floor of our house painted and we were working within a tight schedule to fit it in before moving in. Not only did Pikesville Remodeling work within our budget and schedule, but they were also professional and honest. Even when we changed a color and decided we wanted a different color for a second room they had no problem making the adjustment. They followed our instructions exactly, especially with the accent wall specifications, and completed the job on time. They did a great job with the details of the ceiling, the cracks, the touchups after the carpet had been installed, and left everything clean once they were done. We are thrilled with the result and would highly recommend for painting and other handyman services.

Ariel and Roberto were punctual (came on a Sunday), professional and did a great job patching a hole in my living room ceiling after a bathtub drain had been replaced. Patched the hole, primed and painted. Matched up with the rest of the ceiling. You would never know there was a hole.
