MCL Flooring was fantastic! I contacted them about a week before I needed the job done. (I had just closed on my house and wanted to have the floors done before I moved in.) Brenda got back to me immediately to schedule a walk-through of the house and put together an estimate. She was very thorough in the walk-through - looking closely at my floors, pointing out stains that might not come out and areas of the floor that would need to be repaired, and asking a lot of questions about how I wanted my floors to look when they were done. No other company I met with spent so much time understanding the job! We scheduled an appointment the next week to get my floors done, and everything went smoothly. Gerard showed up exactly when he was supposed to and did an equally thorough walk-through of the house with me before he got started. He and Brenda stayed in touch with updates on progress throughout the week and had me come by the house to look at a few stains that did not come out with sanding to decide whether or not to replace the floorboards. (I decided not to, and the floors still look really good). The job was finished on time, and the floors look great! Brenda gave me very clear instructions on how to protect the floors while I was moving in and sent me a set of floor care guidelines when the job was completed. MCL Flooring was a little more expensive than the other companies I met with, but I felt good about the amount of time and attention Brenda spent on the walk-through and knew they would treat my floors like the floors in their own home. It was well worth the extra few hundred dollars to work with them, and I would highly recommend them to others.

It went very well. I spent $575. It was a small room and I am loving it. She was very helpful, she answered all my questions and was just a very professional person to work with. She did an excellent job.

It was an excellent experience. They were over the top good. They were ridiculously great. One of them was so awesome. They were here for about two weeks and they were really checking the detail. They were very good.

Great. Brenda was on time and performed the work in two phases while we were away on vacation. I gave her a key to the house. The floors look terrific.

Brenda and her crew were great! They started the job early as they knew I was prepping the house to sell. The project took about 5 days and they were very clean and thorough throughout. Brenda gave me 3 stain samples and I love the one I chose- ebony. There were 2 imperfections I noticed after the job was done ( the house is over 200 years old) and they quickly returned to address the issue. They started about 10am each day, but I wish it could have been closer to 8am so the smell would be a little less harsh.

MCL was one of 2 floorers I concacted. They looked at the floor in more detail, gave me more information, and also came in at a lower price. I told Brenda that there was no hurry on the job, but then our plans changed. She pushed the job forward for me, and her crew treated my home with great care, as well as doing an outstanding job on the floor, and providing some patching that exactly matched the original colors. This is the second time I have used her company, and I highly recommend them.

Punctual, professional and pleasant. Their estimate was fair and their schedule was accommodating . After evaluating the different providers, I decided to go with someone that had previously done work for us, and offered a similar profile.

Brenda responded right away. A real sweetheart. She came out a few times to see what the job would entail and gave suggestions. we broke up tile in the kitchen for them to lay down new flooring. They stained the existing floors as well. they turned out excellent. The only issue was communication. They neglected to tell us prior to the job that they don't work on Sundays and we didn't find out until a few days prior to that. Also, we asked that they leave at a certain time and that didn't happen sometimes. Also, they didn't start for a few days after the contract stated the start date so we had a few surprises. But all in all they did phenomenal work and the floors look unbelievable. Brenda's husband and family did great work.

They moved the furniture out and back and were careful with it and with the walls. They were very considerate about letting me know when I wouldn't be able to walk on the floor and very careful with the trim, which was hard to install since the hearth wasn't level.

Brenda and her crew did a outstanding job. Never has the floor looked better. From the time we met, Brenda has had good communication with me. Letting me know where we were with the job up until it was done. Her crew was very pleasant as well.

It had to be redone just because we tried to break it up into 2 parts. They were responsive. She was accommodating because of having to redo things. They were pretty professional. I thought the price was pretty good.

The person who was going to do the estimate was very late and acted very unprofessional when they arrived. She dressed inappropriately and looked and acted kind of crazy.

Brenda responded promptly to the voice mail message, set up appointment at our convenience to assess the work and sent the estimate within 2 working days. She was upfront about some of the stains possibly being too deep for the sanding to remove completely, discussed replacement of those areas with new wood, reviewed the type of poly finishes and colors available and the pros and cons of each. The work took 4 days and the furniture was moved back in on the 5th day - just as she had set up the plan in the beginning.. She came with the crew most days, called to let us know at the end of the day what had been accomplished and the plan for the next day and what time the crew was due to come. A couple days they ran late but she called to let us know. When they started late, they stayed late so the work stayed on schedule. Brenda was very particular about how the work was being done, and treated the furniture moving as though it was her furniture being handled. She gave us a written"care and feeding" list for the floor which is so much more helpful than just telling it to you. The floors look wonderful and even the deeply stained areas much less noticeable and since they are where we will have area rugs, we opted not to have the boards replaced. Brenda was very friendly, presented herself confidently and made sure we were aware of and understood each step of the work. She was the boss, but she worked just as hard as the crew.

The floors look magnificent! They staged the work, so we didn't have to empty the house before they started. They also helped move a couple of really heavy pieces of furniture. All the stains came out, and they also patched some large cracks.

Brenda and her crew worked for about 3-5 days on apartment floors that were in very bad shape and did an excellent job. The edges were well detailed and the finish was a water based finish so the smell was not so noxious. The finish was also very smooth and beautifully polished. Brenda and her crew were very respectful and courteous at all times. Brenda came herself to do the measuring and give me the estimate. I felt that I got a good job in exchange for the price, though some have said it is expensive. To check this, I did a comparison with someone who had a smaller area to refinish and used a different company, and we came to see that we both paid about the same amount of money for our respective jobs given the areas that were covered. When I looked over the floors after the job was finished, I noticed a small area that was under sliding doors had been missed. When I called Brenda to say this, she came immediately to look and agreed it had been missed. She immediately scheduled a time when it could be touched up and this was done and no trace was seen that it had been repaired. This was the second job I had MCL Flooring do for me. They had another apartment's floors refinished perhaps 2 years prior and MCL did a great job for me. Because they were so respectful and courteous the first time, I went back to them for the second job and was pleased with the results. I have privately recommended her to other people as well. I would recommend her again.

I have been recommending MCL Floors to family & friends for over 15 years! They do great work, are affordable, and they are like working with your best friend. I bought my house 14 years ago and MCL has now sanded and refinished all of my hard wood floors throughout the house. Previous to that, while living at home, my mom & I found MCL Floors in the phone book when we decided to sand & refinish the dining room floor in my mom's house. When I bought my house a few years later, there was no question in my mind that I would use MCL for my floors also. Brenda & her team are committed to making customers happy. She followed up with me every day during the course of the job to make sure things were satisfactory. They will not complete the job until you are 100% satisfied. I will continue to recommend MCL Floors and use them in the future when my floors need buffing and re-coating for regular maintenance. My floors are beautiful!!!

The service turned out great. They were great personalities to work with. They provided a high touch of work. The floors are 150 years old and they were very creative in the solutions they came up with and they did not ruin the integrity of the floors and kept the cost reasonable. We would use them again and we have recommended other people to them who have been very happy with the work.

Working with MCL Floor Sanding Service, Inc. was overall a very good experience -- from the estimate process, through the job itself, up to the care and maintenance instructions left for our beautiful new floors. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. We had our entire first floor sanded and refinished (living room, dining room, entrance and hall), as well as the stairs to the second floor, the second floor hallway, and one of the bedrooms on the second floor. Brenda arrived on time to review the scope of the job and gave us an estimate promptly. We wanted to hire a company that would move our furniture and that was a service that was offered by MCL. The work was begun while we were away and finished when we returned. The workflow was scheduled so we had access to necessary rooms when we returned without having to worry about tacky or sticky floors. Brenda had a key and our phone number. She stayed in touch with us while we were away to advise of progress. There were no hitches. MCL is family owned and all the employees are family members. Our home is nearly 100 years old and the floors haven't been refinished in over 20 years. In those 20 years, the floors have been punished with kids, dogs, parties, cleats, bikes, trikes, spills, scrapes, scratches, dings, and gouges. Now the floors are ready for another 20 years. They look fabulous. Brenda and the team at MCL were meticulous and thoughtful as they performed high quality work on our home.
