Description of Work: 1. Made repairs to my balcony - I have 2 balconies on the 2nd & 3rd floor townhouse instead of a deck. |2. Added a pair of plywood boards behind the wall to provide something for an access panel (to my humidifier) inside my garage to attach to. (to my humidifier). The original handyman attached the panel to the drywall where there are no studs and over time the screws pulled through the drywall. |3. Added a vent cover to my 2nd floor oven vent - it fell off the prior fall.

Description of Work: The gentleman owner of HunyDo was quite nice and very eager to please. He followed my directions, but then when he couldn't do what I wanted, he became very timid about talking me through what other choices I had. I am always interested in my alternatives so was glad to hear his alternatives but he gave none, just explained why he couldn't do what I had originally asked for.When he and his assistant, who didn't speak English - and the owner didn't understand Spanish, worked on the bathroom mirror lamps, he did not look at how any of the lamps in the other bathrooms were placed so that he could duplicate them. What happened then was he had to break through the plaster board....I was fine with that as that is what had to happen with the other two lamps in the other bathrooms. BUT because he had not looked at the other two bathrooms, he put it up incorrectly and we were not able to put the lamp shades on them. Very frustrating. Then because he hadn't use up the time we paid for he and my husband decided to put a new railing above the kitchen counter. I did not ask for that and had other things I wanted him to do. The whole thing was veery frustrating.

Description of Work: Hunny Do LLC visited our house to provide an estimate for the job. We never heard back. I e-mailed and called and received no follow-up. I would have appreciated a "not interested" from him; instead, I waited for over a week before figuring out that he was not interested in the job. Bad manners.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced kitchen faucet. Repaired rotten threshold and put new pneumatic door closers on storm door.

Description of Work: We had them come in for a whole day handyman service Angie's List Special. The owner and a worker arrived promptly, were polite and did most of the things requested. But there were several problems. | |We asked them to: add insulation we provided next to a through the wall AC; install about 30-feet of supplied quarter round; replace three ceiling light fixtures; fix a sagging hinge on a door; and replace a deadbolt on the front door that required making the hole larger. A couple of other tasks they said they either didn't have time to do or didn't know how to complete. | |The insulation was installed properly and the door hinge fixed. The quarter round was installed, but nail holes and joints were not caulked -- something I expect a handyman/carpenter to do. | |The new lock was installed, but when they increased the diameter of the deadbolt hole, they sawed from the inside out and broke off a large chip of a freshly painted front door when the saw reached the outside of the door. We had to patch the chip and repaint the front door. | |But while replacing three ceiling light fixtures, the worker incorrectly wired the fixtures which resulted in a subsequent electrician's visit when the power went out in my home office and much of the house. (They promptly arranged to have the electrician come out that afternoon and correct the wiring.) | |They did clean up after most of their work, but we were finding electrical screws and parts for several days. | |In summary, our experience was mixed. They came when they said they would, acted professionally, and didn't waste any time. But the electrical issue was completely avoidable and the chip out of the door occurred when they didn't pay enough attention as the hole saw approached the outside door edge. Other tasks they completed appropriately. Would they do better working on a single task instead of a variety? We won't invite them back to find out.

Description of Work: They installed a vanity/sink and a toilet in our bathroom. I had to schedule them on 3 different days due to problems on their side. The vanity was first installed off center. Flush against the left wall. The base tiles had to be removed so the unit would sit flush against the wall. The base tiles behind the vanity also needed to be cut out so it would sit flush. Since it was installed off center to the left, when moved to the right all the tiles needed to be put back on the side base. The tile on the back wall corner couldn't be replaced so it's just missing. It's not extremely noticeable but had I been asked where I wanted it placed before they took any tiles out, the tiles on the left wall wouldn't have been removed at all. The gentleman was very pleasant and courteous but I just consider the work and timing as Average.

Description of Work: Retrieved something accidentally dropped down a bathroom drain. I'd never used this company before so I was pleased to see how quickly he responded. In fact he's helping me with another project now. Very pleasant person to work with.

Description of Work: He inspected all 3 toilets, tighten all bolts and replaced the inner guts of one toilet. He also recommended a website for replacement toilet lids. I would recommend this company very highly.
