Bob called me personally after receiving my Angie's List request for service. He was very courteous and arranged for my service to take place the very next day. The serviceman, Kevin, was knowledgeable and friendly and took time to show me how to program and use the new garage door opener. I am delighted with Bob's Overhead Door service and professionalism.

He came on time, was very polite, got the work done in a short amount of time and actually greatly improved how the door operated.

The torsion spring for my garage door broke late on Friday night. I called around on Saturday morning to find a contractor that could make the repairs over the weekend. Bob's Overhead Door Service was the only company that offered availability and quoted prices for both weekend and weekday appointments. I opted for a Monday morning appointment. I was given a late morning appointment window and the repairman arrived early. The work took about 30 minutes to complete. The repairman was very professional, courteous and personable. Hopefully the newly installed torsion spring lasts for 10 years, but when it breaks after 10,000+ raises and lowerings, I'll be sure to call Bob's Overhead Door Service for another replacement.

Punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous! While our order took a bit longer than expected due to damage, our new door was installed within six weeks and was done expediently and thoroughly! The installation only took two hours and the installation crew was fabulous!

This is NOT my first time using Bob's service; however, THIS IS my first review. The simple fact that i am a returning customer speaks for itself (in my opinion). Usually, it is much easier to write a negative review, b/c it is easier to describe what was done wrong. In this case, everything was done just as expected. Appointment was made within acceptable (to me) time window. Technician arrived on time, did what he supposed to do. Provided some observations and suggestions, got paid and left. PERFECT! Exactly what i needed, exactly when i needed it!

We had used Bob's Overhead Door Repair & Service a few months ago to fix a broken cable on the garage door and were very pleased with the experience. So, when the garage door opener stopped working, I called the company to see about a repair/replacement. My phone call was answered on the first or second ring by a human being(!) I explained the situation. (The garage door opener's emergency handle had been pulled. When we tried to re-engage the opener, the handle wouldn't catch. We assumed that a piece of the handle had fallen off.) The gentleman who answered the phone talked us through the simple, safe, one-step procedure for re-engaging the handle. The garage door opener was fixed, and we were saved the inconvenience and expense of an unnecessary service call. So, technically, we did not have any service performed -- but considering that the company was willing to share its expertise free of charge, I feel that a service was indeed rendered. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They did a nice job, they came when they said they will and they did everything they said they will do.

The provider went above and beyond. After fixing the motorized portion of the door, he actually repaired the bottom of the door which was bowing drastically. I didn't even call him out to fix this part of the door, but he noticed it and took the initiative to repair it.

I highly recommend Bob's Overhead Door. Gary, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The showroom is very impressive, too.

They weren't expensive or anything. They were very prompt. When we called them, the guy came the next day and fixed it.

the tech showed up as scheduled, diagnosed the problem with 10 minutes of arriving, recommeded the fix, and had the door working like new within a half hour. Outstanding service at an reasonable price.

Always prompt and reliable. My only complaint is that they are expensive. A simple part and installation cost $125 for 15 minutes of work. On the flip side, I am always happy to pay for great, reliable service.

The garage door spring sprung off when I was closing the garage door in the wee hours of the night (12:45 am Friday) after a daunting air travel back from the midwest. I called on Friday to set up an appointment, and was able to get one for Monday. The technician called 1/2 hour before he arrived as planned, and he came during the period he was scheduled. He looked at the garage door, explained what happened, and then did the replacement/repair. He was very friendly and professional. The work took about 1/2 hour, and the garage door works fine.

I called Bob's on the Friday before Christmas, as our door had broken the previous day. I called first thing in the am, hoping to get someone there that day. They couldn't make it that day and were booked up for Christmas week. They normally don't work weekends, but one of their techs offered to come out on a Saturday to fix it. We really appreciate Bob's going the extra mile to make sure we have a functioning garage door.

Overall, the project went very well. The installer was very prompt, courteous, and professional. He completed the job quickly and completely, taking away all of the debris and the old garage door. The rating of "B" under responsiveness and punctuality is due to the salesman. When we called for the estimate, he arrived the same day and was quick and efficient, but the emailed estimate did not arrive until a week later. Then when we called to place the order, he said that he needed to check to see if the door was in stock. We gave him the required deposit, and we did not hear back from him for two weeks. In fairness, we could have called and inquired, but a little more initiative would have earned the "A" in these categories. I would recommend this company.

Our contractor-grade garage doors and garage door openers had worn out. They were noisy to the point where I was afraid they would fall apart every time we used them, and one side was completely broken. To be fair, we had hit the doors a couple times with the cars, which I'm sure put them off-kilter on the tracks and accelerated the failure. Gary came out to provide my husband with several estimates - repair, two different sets of garage doors, and two different sets of openers. Gary was extremely professional and friendly, and answered all of our questions honestly. We made our decision the next day, and were told that it was possible that the garage doors would be delivered by the end of the following week, with installation scheduled early the week after that. I think at some point there was some confusion about our order, because when we hadn't heard back by the end of the next week, we called and weren't sure if our order had been placed (out credit card hadn"t been charged for the deposit from the week before). In any case, all that was worked out, and didn't cause more than a week delay and was within the 3-4 weeks promised on the estimate. Installlation day went smoothly, and Steve and Joe completed the installation quickly and professionally. We had requested that they start as early in the day as possible to accomodate another appointment, and they arrived 45 minutes earlier than they estimated, which I really appreciated! Installation took about 4 hours, and afterwards Steve explained all of the opener functions and how to maintain the garage doors (they left a can of garage door lubricant). They cleaned up the old garage doors and openers completely and left the area exactly as they found it. Overall we had a very positive experience and wouldn't hesitate to call Bob's again or recommend them to our neighbors and friends.

Everything went great. Our garage door "fell" one afternoon - and we weren't sure if it was the track, the pulley system, those large springs...we don't know anything about garage doors! We got a reference from our general contractor, and we called Bob's because I found their reviews / ratings on Angie's List. We picked Bob's since they were able to come out the soonest - and if we couldn't get the garage door up...we couldn't get the lawn mower and kid toys out the door! They arrive on the date/time as scheduled, we professional and courteous and repaired and replaced everything needed. They also made some other adjustments and the overall system works smoother and quieter than before. Great service - we've added them to our community "referral" book that the neighbors all share when someone needs a contractor.

This company had a very pleasant and professional appointment clerk who tried very hard to accommodate my schedule. When the technician realized that he was going to be a bit late, he called me before the appointed time. The work was done quickly and neatly. I was very satisfied. My garage door never worked better!

Called for a broken garage door opener: wires had broken. The punctual and knowledgeable service rep repaired and serviced both doors, and advised on non-working lighting system (advised against repair versus replacing). Affordable and professional.

They did a great job and were very reasonable. It was all good. They came out promptly. They saved us a lot of money over what another company would charge us.

I was not so pleased with them. They gave a bad description of what they did, not sure what they did. They did not know what was wrong and did not get it fixed right. They charged a great price but the fix did not work. They were punctual.

Called day after door was damaged. Made appt based on my schedule to provide estimate and repair work.
