I was approached by New Pro to replace a bathtub. What was supposed to be a no obligation quote turned into an extremely high pressure sales call which when I equated to a car salesman the New Pro rep got very unhappy.. Read on. Salesman came in, and immediately started using every trick in the book. Open the laptop and position just enough that you can see a picture of him and some kids on the desktop...he doesn't have kids though, they were his nephews reportedly. Done to make it look like a family environment and to trust him more. The sales presentation included all about their company, how they've been in business for 75 years, bla bla. They won't tell you that they haven't been doing bathroom stuff that long or that most of their 144 reviews currently on google are for window replacements. Then he pulls up my zip code and says the average cost of a bathroom remodel in my state is $18k...I laughed. There aren't too many people paying that kind of money for a bathtub replacement. Then it dropped to $13k, then each time I pushed back the price dropped more. Out comes the sheet of paper....exactly like buying a car. Spaces for financing, areas to figure prices on, again each time I pushed back the number dropped. Next came out, "My boss doesn't like me to go to a house twice", then "Because of covid I can't come back", then "This price is only valid tonight". Again each time I pushed back the number dropped. The finaly number was a reduction of $1700 due to an "Indigent family covid discount" (I was not too thrilled to be called indigent". The final price was $10579 to take out a 1 piece tub and surround and replace with a tub and surround. Because of the high pressure tactics, I signed his forms and made the decision to move forward with them. While I knew the price was much more than I thought I should be paying, at the time I felt that I could rely on them to do the job as they said. I didn't sleep well that night. The salesmen left at 7:30pm. The next morning at 5am I googled "average cost of bathroom remodel in Massachusetts" and the numbers shown were'nt even close to what was portrayed. (Remember anyone can make up a number for something like this and they sure did) I texted a screenshot of this to the salesman a while later, with a comment about this is why I shouldn't have signed this. The tone got belligerent, even to the point of him telling me I had to submit the contract back via mail, that the surround was already in production at the jacuzzi tub factory in Illinois (8am the following morning!), the salesman got more belligerent and outright cancelled the sale. Multiple rejected phone calls and voicemails from the local manager also! Last week I was called by a nice woman from Angies List and asked how things went. I told her what happened and later found out their reviews here were SPOT ON. I almost hired this company. I never read their reviews on Angies List until then. RUN DON'T WALK away from these guys. They are very predatory much like Renewal by Anderson and many more companies. This was a $204 tub at the local plumbing supply house and even the surround was $200! A local plumber gave me price of 1950 installed...a far cry from $10579! To this company, don't try to contact me again. I hope this review opens others eyes that this stuff is real and can happen to you.

Hiring New Pro to replace our tub with a walk in shower was by far the worst decision we’ve ever made on any work we’ve ever had done on any house we’ve ever owned. The salesman assured us that the shower stall would fit flush to the opening we had - it did not when installed. It is one inch short and looks shoddy and awkward. The shower doors were damaged in transit and it took over a week to them to be installed - a trial as we have only one bathroom. When we refused to pay the balance due because the doors had not yet been installed we were repeatedly called by the manager to try to get us to guarantee that we would pay the balance due immediately when the shower door was installed, despite our many other concerns about the ordering and installation. We have not received a follow up call about our concerns since we released the payment. The salesman ordered doors that close in such a way that they are narrowest near the showerhead making taking a shower harder then if the door nearest the shower head was on the outside track. We were told by the salesman that grab bars would be delivered by installers and twice they never came with installers. The installers did their best but the orders were incorrect. Unprofessional sales practices and grossly overpriced for what we received. Do not use this company under any circumstances. You will regret it. We certainly do.
