The repair estimate I got for repairing was $564.70 with 90 days' warranty. I was told since it was an old one the motor needs to be replaced. But after I checked at Lowes, for the same brand new washer from Hotpoint, it only cost $299.00 with 1 year warranty including installation and haul away. Without going ahead for the repair, I still get a charge of $89.95 (That is 10% off as a member of Angie's List). Both repair estimation and service diagnosis fee (without open up the machine) are high and unreasonable to me.

It was fine. I don’t remember there being any additional charge. I felt happy that they came and repaired it. The trash compactor died about a year and half after they repaired it. Nothing bad sticks out in my mind.

They were very prompt for scheduling. They were very knowledgeable. They seemed to be much better than some. They were competent. There were no issues at all. They did a great job. I would absolutely use them in the future.

The response was amazing. He made recommendations for us to make the best decision. I highly recommend them and will use them again!

He said the pipe needs replaced on my refrigerator. He was professional, but the estimate I received for replacing the pipe seemed really high.

The technician was great, and I called the company to let them know. He was punctual, called ahead of time to let me know when I needed to be ready, extremely professional but with a good sense of humor and great personality. He walked me through a special to cover my appliances for the next two years that will cover me as I rent my place out. While the cost may be a little higher than maybe some of the competition, I am comfortable knowing that my tenants will be well taken care of should anything go wrong with my appliances in the future. This is not the first time I have used SDS. I have had them out three times and each time I have experienced the same level of service and professionalism. Personally, I think the company should write a book as to their successful hiring practices!

Same Day Service responded to my service call within a few hours and had my washer running in 45 minutes. This service followed over a week of failed attempts to repair the washer by another company. Same Day's service man was professional, helpful, and excellent on every level. Especially after a week of multiple calls and service attempts from someone else that was poor, this was a breath of fresh air! I will use Same Day Service again and highly recommend them!

The guy was very professional and prompt, eager to help in any way. For a faulty dishwasher he looked it over carefully and, though he's not a plumber, was able to at least identify some of the problem. Turns out the repairs would cost the same as a new appliance, as it often is with similar machines. Charged only for a diagnosis and that was that. Technician was friendly and courteous, punctual and prepared.

They came out and fixed it. They immediately knew what the problem was. The gentleman that came out did some extra things that weren't required. He was very nice and extremely helpful. He gave me several tips about the oven and other appliances.

We were hoping for the repair to be completed by Thanksgiving however the parts had to be ordered and it could not be done. The cost of the center burner fix was prohibitive for us but Randy gave us a tip on cleaning to see if that could improve the flame flow.

We were lucky because our oven is very old and they no longer stock the coil we needed. They had one last heating element for our oven on the truck. Mike was very personable, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

My refrigerator started making noise, and I called Same Day Service on Saturday The person who answered the phone was pleasant and efficient. While he said they were very busy, it being the Saturday before Thanksgiving, he was able to get a repairman out that day. The repairman, Ryan, called 20 minutes before arriving at my house. He also was very pleasant and professional. Ryan determined the cause of the refrigerator's noise was a warped fan blade. The replacement fan unit was a special order, which would take a few days to come in. He quoted me the exact cost of the 2 visits and the part, which was about $350. He explained that the fan problems would put strain on the compressor, which would eventually burn out, so acting fast was important. Therefore, even though I was going to be out of town when the part came in, I left a hidden key. Ryan called me from my kitchen to tell me that, once the fan unit had been replaced, he could hear the compressor making noise indicating that it had indeed been damaged and would soon burn out. With the fridge being over 10 years old, it was clearly not worth the cost of repairing that, too. So, Ryan explained that they would refund all except the cost of the 2 visits. I ended up paying about $150. While it's disappointing to need a new fridge, I understand and am glad not to have to pay for the part. Hopefully, the new fan will allow the compressor to hang in there until the new fridge is delivered. On a side note, I asked Ryan whether he would recommend appliance repair as a good career. He said maybe to the career in general, but he certainly recommended working for this company. He said they provide their own training, and they hire on personality, since that can't be trained. He made clear they treat their workers well, and it always feels good to support that kind of business.

I had an old heating unit, and we could not find the part that we needed to fix it. They ran around all over town looking for the part, and and after two weeks finally found the part in an old stove someone had thrown away. They replaced it in the middle of the night at no cost to us because it took so long to find the part.

Technician came out the first time and did a thorough inspection of the unit. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. After testing almost every component, he determined that the motor unit needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and came back a week later to install it. Before replacing the motor unit he tried replacing the rotor sensor, which was much easier and faster than replacing the motor would have been. Unfortunately, due to their strange pricing structure, this did not result in much cost savings compared to replacing the motor unit. Overall I was very happy with the service. But it was definitely expensive for the work performed and the odd pricing structure caught me off guard.

Called and had a technician at my door 4 hours later! He was professional, I explained what happened and he seemed to know right away what needed to be fixed. It was done, tested and cleaned up in just 35 minutes. Would call them again.

My technician Bruce was timely, friendly, and explained everything to me. My washing machine wasn't draining, so he pulled the pump out and showed me that it was clogged with my daughters sock and some other gunk that had built up over the years. He had a replacement in his truck and was able to repair it immediately. He was here for about 30 to 45 minutes, and wasn't bothered by me looking over his shoulder while he replaced the pump (I wanted to see how he did it so that I might be able to do it myself in the future). After he fixed it, he ran it a few times to be sure that was the solution, and he made some recommendations about how i can prevent my daughters socks from getting stuck in the pump again. The cost was $215.35, which I considered fair since that's much cheaper than it would have cost me to buy a new washer or do it myself. I would highly recommend Same Day Service Company, Inc to anyone who is having issues with their ppliances that they can't fix on their own.

Very professional from initial contact throughout the service. They couldn't come the same day, but they told us that from the beginning, and they arrived the next day easily within the timeframe they stated. The repairperson was very professional and polite, and did a great job very quickly. I guess it may cost more, though I'm willing to pay extra for reliable, professional service.

He replaced the coil which costs & $15 and was in the house for less than 20 mins. Total bill $218- super expensive labor ,$200 for a 15 min job..wow! Don't recommend these guys. Didn't even look at microwave and said that it will cost more than $250, so better to get a new one. Didn't test the microwave at all.

Spent quite a bit of time diagnosing the problem - was very thorough, which I really appreciated. Since the main electrical panel shorted out due to water in the bottom, he was unable to do a full diagnostic. He was disappointed that he never really found out which part of the dishwasher had initiated the full-blown meltdown. We honestly discussed the topic of repair v. new purchase, and since it would cost minimally $600-$700 to do the initial repair and perhaps more if other parts needed replacement, I realized that servicing this 10-year dishwasher was not the right move. The technician, Kevan, was very friendly, courteous & a pleasure to work with.

They were able to come out within an hour and were able to beat the price of someone I had scheduled weeks ago. He came to look at my stove, but was also able to look at my grill and helped me find the stock number and where to order the part I needed. I also got 10% off for being an Angie's List member.

Maybe they should switch their name to Sometime Soon. Maybe instead of same day. Made an appointment yesterday for before noon today. Called at 11:15 as getting nervous this was not going to end well and was told should be updated shortly - Called back at noon and still had no idea when they would be here. Cannot be depended upon so be ready to take the whole day off. I cancelled-would rather buy a new appliance than wait on these people.
