THESE GUYS WERE RESPONSIVE AND IN FACT CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED. OTHER COMPANIES HAD SAID THEY WOULD COME IN 3-7 DAYS. THE SERVICE GUY CAME IN THE STATED TIME WINDOW, CALLING A HALF HOUR BEFORE. HE WAS PLEASANT AND DID THE JOB. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT? I DON'T KNOW HOW TO JUDGE PRICE FAIRNESS BUT IT WORKED FOR ME.
Description of Work: MY REFRIGERATOR THERMOSTAT WAS BROKEN, THUS THE FRIDGE WAS WARM. THE REPAIR GUY MELTED THE BUILT UP ICE ENOUGH TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT, AND TOLD ME HOW TO MAKE SURE THE REST OF THE ICE WAS MELTED BEFORE TURNING THE APPLIANCE BACK ON.

JEFF WAS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, PERSONABLE, CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF, AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE PRICE INCLUDES A $50 EXTENDED MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT (ONE YEAR) FOR OUR 5 YEAR OLD MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR, NOW JUST 2 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY.

FIRST VISIT (DIAGNOSTIC) SUPPOSED TO BE BETWEEN 8 AM AND NOON. HE SHOWED UP AT 2 PM (HE DID CALL AT 12:30 TO SAY HE WAS LATE & WOULD COME 1:30 OR 2:00) I THOUGHT THE ESTIMATE VERY EXPENSIVE BUT IF I DIDN'T DO THE WORK I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY ABOUT $75 TO $80 FOR THE SERVICE CALL. TECHNICIAN CAME FIRST THING IN MORNING THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND DID THE JOB. HE WAS FRIENDLY & COURTEOUS. THE AMOUNT I PAID WAS WITH A 10% SENIOR DISCOUNT AS MY MOTHER-IN-LAW OWNS HOUSE.
Description of Work: DRYER WORKED BUT HAD NO HEAT. TECHNICIAN SAID WE NEEDED NEW CIRCUIT PANEL & RELAY SWITCH. PARTS TOOK 5 TO 7 DAYS TO ORDER.

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT PROVIDE SAME DAY SERVICE IN SPITE OF THEIR NAME. I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE GETTING A SERVICE CALL SCHEDULED, WHICH WAS PROMISED FOR THE NEXT DAY, BUT THEN SUBSEQUENT PHONE CALLS TO THE 800 NUMBER AND A REQUEST TO SPEAK TO THE SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT WHEN I COULD EXPECT THE SERVICE MAN TO ARRIVE GOT ME NOWHERE. A TELEPHONE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME ''WE TRY TO COME WHEN SCHEDULED BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE WE WILL SHOW UP.'' I FINALLY CANCELLED MY SERVICE ORDER ABOUT 31 HOURS AFTER I PLACED IT BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET THROUGH TO ANYBODY. VERY POOR RESPONSIVENESS.

IT IS OUR GOAL TO PROVIDE SAME DAY SERVICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS. IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GIVE THE CUSTOMER EXACT TIME FRAMES. WE DO NOT EXPECT A CUSTOMER TO SIT AROUND AND WAIT FOR OUR PHONE CALL. WE ARE HAPPY TO CALL THEM AT A WORK OR CELL PHONE 30-40 MINUTES BEFORE THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVES. MOST OF OUR CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY WITH THIS OPTION AND APPRECIATE THE PROMPT SERVICE. THIS MEMBER CALLED IN AT 8:19 AM ON AUGUST 17TH AND REQUESTED SERVICE FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY. HE TOLD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT THAT HE WANTED SERVICE BETWEEN 2:30 - 5:00. IT WAS MADE QUITE CLEAR TO THIS MEMBER THAT WE COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT TIME REQUEST. HE WAS TOLD THAT WE WOULD CERTAINLY TRY TO ACCOMODATE HIM, BUT WE COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE TECHNICIAN WOULD ARRIVE IN THAT TIME WINDOW AND FINISH BY 5:00. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE WHAT PROBLEMS THE TECHNICIANS MIGHT ENCOUNTER WHEN THEY ENTER SOMEONE''S HOME. WE WANT THE TECHNICIAN TO BE ABLE TO TAKE HIS TIME AND DO A THOROUGH JOB; WE DO NOT WANT HIM/HER TO RUSH AND WORRY ABOUT "MAKING THE NEXT TIME FRAME". WE ARE SORRY THAT WE COULD NOT ACCOMODATE THE TIME FRAME THAT THIS MEMBER REQUESTED. HOWEVER, WE DO FEEL THAT WE WERE HONEST WITH THIS MEMBER AT THE TIME HE SET UP THE SERVICE CALL. WE WILL PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH PROMPT SERVICE AND OUTSTANDING TECHNICIANS, BUT WE CAN NOT COMPROMISE OUR QUALITY OF SERVICE BECAUSE THE TECHNICIANS ARE RUSHING TO MEET SHORT TIME FRAMES.

AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS A SERVICE TECH WAS ABLE TO COME OUT TO EVALUATE THE SITUATION. I WASN'T ABLE TO COME HOME FROM WORK DURING THE DAY BUT EVENTUALLY THEY WERE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME AFTER 5:00 PM. THE TECH QUICKLY FOUND THE PROBLEM AND CLEARLY EXPLAINED THE WORK NEEDED. THE PART CAME IN AND A DIFFERENT SERVICE TECH INSTALLED IT. NEW DRYER EXHAUST WAS $150 OF TOTAL $240. ALL IN ALL I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WORK AS LONG AS THE DRYER KEEPS WORKING AND SO FAR SO GOOD. I THINK THEY HAVE A 90 DAY OR SO WARRANTY ON THE SERVICE.
Description of Work: 7 YEAR OLD DRYER BROKE IN PREVIOUSLY OWNED HOUSE. I NEEDED NEW DRYER EXHAUST PIPING ALSO. AND AS I FOUND OUT THE DRYER WAS COMPLETELY CLOGGED WITH LINT FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND THUS A DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD (THANKS FOR THAT LITTLE SURPRISE). THE DRYER NEEDED A NEW PART, A SEAL I BELIEVE.

BUYER BEWARE! THIS WAS A WAS A BAIT AND SWITCH SCHEME. THEY DIDN'T COME TO MY HOME TO DO THE WORK I ASKED FOR AND INSTEAD WANTED TO MAKE REPAIRS THAT WOULD NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT MAKES ME THINK THEY'VE BEEN TAKING ADVANTAGE OF LITTLE OLE LADIES FOR TOO LONG.
Description of Work: I HAD REQUESTED A SPECIFIC REPAIR BE PERFORMED ON A MAYTAG WASHER, WHEN I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER, I HAD GIVEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SPECIFIC PART NUMBERS. THE REPAIR TEAM CAME TO MY HOME LATER THAN PROMISED, KNEW NOTHING ABOUT MY SPECIFIC REQUEST FOR REPAIR AND DID NOT BOTHER TO LOOK IN THEIR VEHICLE, ''STOCKED WITH OVER 3000 PARTS'' TO EVEN DETERMINE AVAILABILITY. THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. THE COMPANY WAS RESPONSIVE AND CAME TO THE HOUSE QUICKLY, AFTER THEY WERE CONTACTED. THE TECHNICIAN WAS POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. I HIRED THIS COMPANY WHEN OUR DISHWASHER BROKE DOWN. IT'S AN OFTEN-USED ITEM IN OUR HOUSE AND, BASED ON THE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE TECH, I HIRED THE COMPANY WITHOUT COMPARISON SHOPPING. AFTER ASCERTAINING THE PROBLEM WITH THE DISHWASHER, THE TECHNICIAN ASKED IF WE HAD ANYTHING ELSE TO LOOK AT. I WAS QUITE SURPRISED BY THE QUESTION, AND LUCKILY REMEMBERED OUR BROKEN CLOTHES WASHER. THE MACHINE IS 18 YEARS OLD AND HAS HAD A BROKEN WATER LEVEL CONTROL, A MISSING LID SAFETY SWITCH, AND HAS BEEN OUT OF BALANCE FOR YEARS. THIS WAS A GOOD CHANCE TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE TECHNICIAN LOOKED AT THE CLOTHES DRYER, AND REPLACED WORN PARTS. IN ALL, A GOOD EXPERIENCE, BUT BEWARE OF AGGRESSIVE MARKETING. WHEN THE TECH SAYS YOU NEED A NEW PART YOU PRETTY MUCH HAVE TO TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD. HE SEEMED HONEST, BUT THE DOLLARS DO ADD UP!

IT TOOK THREE VISITS TO RESOLVE THIS REPAIR. THE REPAIR PERSONNEL WERE ALL COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. MY PROBLEM WAS WITH THE FOLKS WHO SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS. THE COMPANY SCHEDULES FOR MORNING OR AFTERNOON APPOINTMENTS. SOMEONE CALLS 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO A TECH'S ARRIVAL TO LET YOU KNOW THAT HE/SHE IS ON THE WAY. THIS IS FINE IF YOU'RE RETIRED, OR WORK AT HOME. IT DOES NOT WORK IF YOU'VE TAKEN TIME OFF FROM WORK FOR AN AFTERNOON REPAIR, AND SAME DAY'S TECH SHOWS UP AT 7 PM., WHICH IS WHAT HAPPENED IN MY CASE. I LEARNED THAT THEY ALSO TEND TO SCHEDULE THE LAST APPOINTMENT OF THE REPAIR PERSON IN THE TOWN CLOSEST TO WHERE HE/SHE LIVES. THIS MAY MEAN THAT YOU MAY INDEED BE THE LAST REPAIR OF THE DAY, YET THEY CAN'T TELL YOU EXACTLY WHEN SOMEONE WILL SHOW UP. I WOULD HIRE THIS COMPANY AGAIN BASED ON THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. HOWEVER, I HOPE THAT THEY WILL IMPROVE ON THEIR SCHEDULING. IT WOULD BE FAR BETTER IF THEY COULD NARROW THEIR WINDOW TO A SPECIFIC 2-3 HOUR RANGE.

THEY GUARANTEED SAME DAY REPAIR AND CALLED ME, ON MY CELL PHONE, 30 MINUTES IN ADVANCE OF THE TECHNICIAN'S ARRIVAL, SO I DIDN'T HAVE TO STAY HOME ALL DAY WAITING. MIKE WAS BOTH POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. MY CALL WAS TO FIX AN ICEMAKER WHICH HAD STOPPED WORKING. HE QUICKLY DETERMINED THE PROBLEM, (FAULTY INTAKE VALVE), AND REPLACED THE PART ON THE SPOT. WHILE IN THE BASEMENT TURNING ON/OFF THE WATER VALVE MIKE NOTICED THAT MY CLOTHES DRYER'S EXHAUST VENT WAS OLD AND NOT UP TO CODE. HE BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION AND SUGGESTED THAT I MIGHT WANT TO THINK ABOUT REPLACING IT AT SOME POINT, AND GAVE A REASONABLE PRICE. I ASKED IF HE COULD DO IT WHEN HE FINISHED WITH THE ICEMAKER AND HE DID. I LIKED THAT HE HAD SO MANY DIFFERENT APPLIANCE PARTS IN HIS TRUCK THAT IT DIDN'T INVOLVE A SEPARATE APPOINTMENT. THE SERVICE CHARGE WAS APPLIED TO ALL THE WORK HE DID THAT DAY. THEY GAVE ME AN ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT AND A $10.00 COUPON OFF FUTURE WORK.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED THE INTAKE VALVE IN MY ICEMAKER AND INSTALLED A NEW VENT TO THE CLOTHES DRYER.

SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. ALEX REPLACED THE MOTOR, VACUUMED ALL LINT AND DUST, AND REPLACED THE VENT TUBING. THE COMPANY TAKES YOUR HOME, OFFICE AND CELL PHONE NUMBER AND CALLS YOU ABOUT 30 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARRIVE SO THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIT AROUND WAITING FOR THEM.

ON THE FIRST VISIT, THEY TOLD US THAT WE NEED A NEW FRIDGE, SO NO REPAIR WAS DONE. THEY ALSO SAID THAT FOR THE JENNAIR, OUR OUTSIDE VENT MUST BE FROZEN OPEN, AND SINCE IT WAS UNREACHABLE, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. FOR THE WASHER, THEY ENDED UP ORDERING A PART, THEN CAME OUT AGAIN, REALIZED THE PART WAS DEFECTIVE, CAME OUT AGAIN AND REALIZED THEY NEEDED ANOTHER PART, AND THEN FINALLY CAME OUT AND SAID THAT DUE TO THE WAY THE WASHER WAS MADE, IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. I HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SERVICE IN THE PAST, BUT WE SPENT A MONTH AND HALF WAITING TO GET THE WASHER FIXED AND THEN WERE TOLD IT COULD NOT BE DONE. NOT ONLY WAS THIS AN INCONVENIENCE WITH NOT HAVING A WASHER, BUT WE WAITED AROUND FOR 4 DIFFERENT SATURDAYS. IF THEY HAD DETERMINED THIS EARLIER ON, I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEIR SERVICE. I'M NOT SURE IF I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN. IT WAS CONVENIENT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT ON A SATURDAY AND MY PAST EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD.
Description of Work: THEY CAME OUT TO REPAIR OUR REFRIGERATOR, CHECK OUT A DRAFT FROM OUR JENNAIR GRILL, AND FIX OUR WASHING MACHINE.

THIS COMPANY GOT BACK TO ME RIGHT AWAY AND ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM, AND CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS. HE GAVE ME A $10 DISCOUNT BECAUSE I USED ANGIE'S LIST TO FIND THE COMPANY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE, BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS AT MY HOME OVER AN HOUR, AND REPLACED TWO PARTS, FOR $218.00.
