Timely service, knowledgeable serviceman, would call them again when I have problems.

Same Day Servce responded to a refridgerator emergency within 1 hour of my call and repaired a non-working fridge with a prompt and quality repair.

Rich, one of the service managers, called me to discuss the details of my problem, a loud banging noise when my Kenmore front loader is on the spin cycle. My description sounded like a common problem, and he wanted to discuss the issue with me to confirm that, since if his suspicion was right, the repair would be around $700. Well, we confirmed the issue, and Rich saved me the cost of the service call. I had never dealt with these guys before, but will definitely do so going forward. This was professionalism and honesty at their best. They could have collected the $80 service fee easily but opted to do the right thing. Now I need to find a new machine... Thank you!

Same Day Service really means same day service! I called and 90 minutes later Greg was at my door. He fixed the problem in about 60 minutes and applied the 10% Angie's List discount without any prompting from me. Will definitely use this service again.

They always show up, they have 4-8 pm appointments which are great for working families. The repairs last. Great experience over years of contacts.

I was very pleased how this company stood by their warranty. It is often a run around but not with them. On the first visit the total was between $200-250 for both parts and labor (but it is an old machine). It is not clear if the second failure had anything to do with the first but this company did well by us. We thought that they were very fair and professional. We would recommend this company highly.

(1/14/10) Coin-op washer repaired by company, but tenants reported two days later that it never worked. Stopped in the middle of the wash. Company returned and claimed it was a different problem that would cost an additional $365.00 to repair. I would be in for 570 in total, so decided to order a new machine. I feel this is a rip off. The company should have refunded me the 205 if they could not repair the machine as agreed or at lease only charge me a service call fee. UPDATE (02/03/10) After I responded to a company survey and gave may negative report on Angie's list, the company called to find out what happened. They said I should have been credited my first payment toward the new estimate or just been charged a service all fee if I did not want the repair. (I would have had the washer repaired if this happened.) The company said they would fully refund the first repair charge (which they did!) and hoped I would try them again. I will try them again because they did reach out to me and refunded their charge.

The performance of the gas oven had been gradually deteriorating over the past six months. On New Year's Eve morning it stopped working entirely. I called a local repair place but they could not come for two days. I called Angie's List and got several referrals. Same Day Service returned my initial call in about an hour and the repair person called a couple hours after that. The repair person was pleasant, informative and professional. He fixed the oven and explained that other intermittent symptoms I'd noticed with the oven were also related to the failed igniter. He also diagnosed a problem with my refrigerator's ice maker and gave an informal estimate of the cost to repair that.

They were courteous on phone contact and set up an appointment within my availability. Their communication was excellent (calling to confirm the appointment and calling within 1/2 of arriving), the technician was professional and courteous. The refrigerator is working. I would use this company again, absolutely!

I called them first thing in the morning and they were here by early afternoon. Greg replaced the bake ignitor and everything was good to go. I can't say enough good things about this experience from start to finish. My phone call was answered promptly and politely, the service technician arrived sooner than expected and called to let me know he was on his way. Greg was personable, competent, and neat. If you need a large appliance repaired, you won't be sorry if you call this company. They are all about customer service.

Called Monday afternoon around 4p, and they scheduled an appt for Tue AM between 8-10, and he came around 9. Fixed the faulty part regulating machine on/off when the door is opened. Excellent service.

Well, another quality pick from Angie's list. My service call went very well. Our service technician was Kim and he was wonderful. Extremely informative and really quick! I know that they may be a bit more expensive than other companies but you get what you pay for and when you are dealing with items that can cost over $1000.00, you want the very best working on your appliances. I highly recommend them!

They were terrific and absolutely wonderful. I?m never going to call anybody else if I need similar kind of work done. The technician was fast, very knowledgeable and reported to me exactly what the problem was. He had the part right in his truck. He fixed the problem and the dishwasher has worked perfectly since.

Overall it was a very good experience, including the phone contacts. Customer service was very personal and efficient. Plan to use them again the next time any appliances need work.

They refused to quote an hourly rate or give me any sort of idea of cost over the phone. They said the technician would have to come out and look at the three appliances and only then would he be able to quote a price, and if I decided the price was too high and declined to pay, I'd have to pay a $79.95 service charge. Perhaps if I'd already used this company in the past and knew that their fees were reasonable, I'd be willing to accept that, but it's not OK the first time around. I see that they are rated "B" for price, so I suppose that others have had issues with their pricing in the past as well. While I understand the allure of fixed pricing, it seems to me that if a customer wants to be quoted an hourly rate, then should be able to do that.

They came the next day to fix it. They saved me from getting a new dryer.

They were excellent. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do.

I expected them around 2:00. when they did not show until after 4:00, I called. They told me he was still coming. He arrived at around 6:30. The person who arrived was very professional, had all the right tools, and offered to fix an additional appliance (dryer). Overall, I was very satisfied with the service.

We have used them twice and we really like them. Since we had worked with them before, we decided to work with them again when we had a leaky dishwasher. The first time when we used them, they came out the same day. The second time over, they came out within two days. They always call ahead and make sure that we are at home before they come over. They give you a big time window but they will always call 15-20 minutes before they come out; we like that. We?ve had two different guys for the job and both of them were good.

The Dryer repair was done promptly . The 10% discount was welcome. So why the B for price? ..Because I like to get a detailed estimate to help me make choices-- not just the total price tag without explanation. ( not the technician fault -- management policy). I eventually got the details after some insistance. Bottom line it would be more fair to give them B+/A- on price... As for judging the quality of the repair.. I am a hard grader .... B is more a gut feel than informed definitive knowledge. It's tough to tell a day later whether it was the right and complete fix and how long it will last. Only time can tell whether it is an A or a D.... However was it done neatly with explanation, yes. Hence the A for professionalism

The service tech called before he arrived and showed up exactly when promised. The control panel on a double wall oven was pushed in and needed replacement. The unit is approx. 12 yrs old and is no longer manufactured. What parts are left in supply are outrageously priced ($650.) The service tech (Kim) correctly assumed I wouldn't be interested in spending that much money when a replacement oven would cost just a fraction more. He managed to "McGyver" the panel back together and make it functional, giving us time to consider our options. While he was here I had him look at a gas cooktop that was sparking randomly. He spent an additional 30 mins. working to clean out both the burners and the jets and instructed me on how to maintain them safely. Because he was not able to fix the oven's control unit he only charged me for a service call and didn't include the work he did on the cooktop.

I cannot tell you how much money we have saved by having a service contract with SDS. On the last repair they came out three times (first to assess, then to install new part, then to replace when new part turned out faulty). On the last visit they found another thing wrong with the stove and pointed out that my contract entitled me to a $200 rebate from them on a new stove. I really, really love Same Day Service.

I called the company in the morning to schedule an appointment and they sent someone that same day. Immediately upon looking at the dishwasher, the repairman said that the tub was rusting and causing the leak. Specifically, there was a substantial leak around the seal for the float sensor. He said that he would try to seal it up with silicone, but there was a good chance that the dishwasher was at the end of its life due to the rust. The dishwasher is about 15-20 years old, so this wasn't a large surprise. I asked him to do it anyways, hoping that it could hold up for a few months. The seal didn't end up solving the problem, so we are replacing the dishwasher. The repairman was knowlegeable and courteous.

SDSCo was extremely responsive and set me up with an appointment the next morning. They called that evening to confirm and narrow the time window. The technician showed up within the two hours scheduled, analyzed the dryer and provided an estimate on the spot. the technician had all the parts on the truck to make the repairs and the whole project was complete in about an hour. Really a painless experience. From what I've read the repair cost is pretty typical, but that doesn't mean I'm necessarily happy with the price.

We liked Same Day Service very much. We have used them twice already. The first time they came out, they repaired our refrigerator. There was something wrong with the fan and the motor. When our dryer had to be fixed, they recommended someone to create a new vent for our dryer. Later, they came back and did the final repair work. We like them because they could out quickly. The process they follow is that they give us the estimates first and then we determine whether it is worth doing the work. They provide a lot of education and insight on products and services. It is a kind of value trade off; they determine if you need to buy a new unit or is the existing unit repairable. They gave us a lot of advice on appliances of all kinds. Then we agreed to do the work and they got it done in a day. They had to come back once more because they couldn?t allow it to function without a legal vent.
