The service tech repaired the dishwasher. And looked at 2 other refrigerators. Fixed a simple problem on 1. The other I will hold off until spring to repair. Kim was the service tech and he was excellent. Very informative(explained what needed to be done on a new subzero refrigerator.) Very professional and very nice! Would use again

They did a great job. They had to split it over 2 days to get a new part. They came back when they said they would.

10 year old gas dryer began making a loud noise, so not wanting to fool around with a gas appliance that was acting up, I checked Angie's list for a reliable reasonably priced repair service. I've used Dell's in Somerville before, but it always seemed pricey. I found Same Day , and saw they had a 10% off coupon through Angies list. I checked their website and they also had a $10 off coupon, so I figured I could use either depending on the cost of the repair. I called late in the day on Friday, so they scheduled me for Saturday. Greg called first, and arrived on time; the dryer drum was vibrating, and he first tried to just tighten all of the bolts to the motor and the gas heating housing, but that didn't stop the vibration. He suggested that replacing the drum roller kit would probably do the trick, but that it was a 'try the next thing' option. He gave me the price, and I authorized the work. As soon as the kit was replaced and the dryer turned on, no more noise! It was worn down after 10 years. He cleaned out all of the lint built up in the machine over the 10 years (never had a problem with this dryer until now - Kenmore series 90), so it needed it. He check the outside venting and it was in good shape. After applying the 10% off coupon, I saved $25! I'd definitely hire them again, for any of our large appliances...great work at a reasonable price...just what I wanted!

The work was done on time and it was fixed promptly. I only call them whenever one of my appliances need to be serviced. They always wear booties so they dont track dirt on the floors, they lay down a blanket on the floor and they place their tools on it so they dont scratch the floors, but best of all they fix it right on the first time as long as they have the parts, if not they come back as soon as the parts are in. They are great.

My coworker recommended Same Day Service. Shortly after that, I saw them highly recommended on Angie's List. My technician's name was Greg. He was professional, courteous, and pleasant. I had an issue with both my stove and dryer. Greg did what he could with the stove. Unfortunately, he said GE does not make parts for my stove anymore. I know my stove is at least 15 years old. He indicated one of the spark switches is no longer working. He did try something we are both hoping buys me a few more years. He said the dryer was not working anymore because the burner coils were no longer working. He replaced the parts, did some maintenance/cleaning on the dryer, and it was as good as new! I would highly recommend this company.

I live in a house with 4 other guys, and our dishwasher stopped working, which is something close to a crisis. I called in the evening and got a replay phone call early the next day to schedule a repair for that afternoon. They gave me a warning call so I didn't have to miss as much work, and the repair guy arrived soon after I got home. He quickly diagnosed the problem (a failed pump), and had the part on hand so he was able to repair it immediately. He also secured the hose under the sink to prevent water from the sink from backing up into the dishwasher and secured the diswasher to the cabinet at no extra charge.

When appliances break, one would need it to be fixed fast. They can’t actually live up to their name, but they show up well within 24 hours. If they can come on the same day, they will. What’s cool about them is that every time they leave, they used to be very careful about my stuff. They are very respectful. They actually have something like a warranty for all the stuffs that they repair. I have my washing machine, dryer, garbage disposal, fridge and my oven covered by them. I pay a couple of $100 a year and if anything breaks, they will come and check it for free. When they came and checked the fridge, it was under that and they didn’t charge me. It’s a funky little service. They are not cheap, but one would get what they pay for. I would use them again in the future.

Very pleasant phone response and next day service. First responder got washer up and running while we waited for a part which arrived the next week and was installed as soon as it was available. The person who installed the needed part was just as punctual, professional and polite as the first. Very happy with the service from this company.

Great service! Our fridge kept frosting up and we called Same Day Service to fix it. Kevan, our technician, was fabulous. He explained everything clearly, fixed the problem, and also went above and beyond to help fix other refrigerator issues (a door that wouldn't close properly and a light not working). Highly recommend. I can't attest to price, as this was the first I've paid for fridge repair.

They came quickly to fix it, and they had it working th same day. But some part had to be installed to keep the thing running properly long-term, and they didn't have it, but they ordered one, and installed it four days later. Two weeks later, everything is fine. The reason I gave them a "b" overall is that the repairman had to use the sink while he was there, and he put some dirty dishes on top of the built in wood cutting board. The sink is the richest place in a kitchen for microbes, and the last thing you want to do is put anything from the sink on top of a cutting board. I used a dilute bleach solution to clean it.

Excellent responsiveness and knowledge. Though they always solved my problems so far by phone call without charge, I will certainly use them when I need a repair.

Same Day Service Company does charge $79.95 for just coming to the house. However, if the visit results in repairing something, those 79.95 get waived. Since I had 2 mashines not working properly I was sure not to waste my $80. Andrew came in on a very hot day and nevertheless tried hard for about over an hour to figure out what was wrong with the washing mashine. Unfortunately the washer just happened to work fine while he was there and is sometimes workng fine, sometimes not, since then. Andrew also assessed the dryer and gave me an estimate of $425, which were reduced to ~ $380,- (because of a 10% Angy's list deduction)to come back with the part and fix the dryer. My husband and I decided to not have the dryer repaired and get a new one instead at some point. Still, we are very happy to have Andrew come to the house. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some good advice not only on our duct system for the dryer, but also on an issue I had with our dishwasher. Although we did not go through with the repair on the dryer I feel that the $80 were well spent for getting a step ahead in our decision making.

Both technicians were professional, punctual and answered our questions fully. I was grateful that my 10-year old refrigerator was able to be fixed for a reasonable amount of money. I chose this company from Angie's List, but also compared it to other appliance repair services in my area. I would highly recommend this company.

The work was perfomed in a clean and orderly manner. I called in the morning and got right to a dispatch person. The person advised me that a tech would be calling me to advise when they would be there. A few hours later the tech did call and was there in 45 min. as he stated. He quickly determined the problem, and gave me an estimate. The nice thing is that he had the parts on his truck which was a blower fan and the main board which needed to be replaced. He performed this work in about an hour. Job well done.

Not well. The first problem encountered was the part delivered to Same Day was not the correct part, requiring the scheduling of a subsequent visit. The technician blamed the problem on the Viking parts distributor. The second visit was scheduled for the morning (as early as 8am). At 12:30p I called Same Day Service dispatch unit to find out why no one had showed up. I was told the repair technician was delayed at another job, but that he was finishing and would show up within an hour. At 2:30p, having not received any contact from either dispatch or the repairman, I call Same Day back. I told them I was disappointed that no one had been in communication with me regarding this additional delay. I received the same excuse that the prior job had been more complicated than expected. I told them that didn't excuse the situation and that we were well past a morning appointment slot. Given the scheduling problems I encountered and that this was the second appointment needed to correct the problem, I would have expected this company to offer to either discount this bill to reflect my inconvenience or to at least offer a significant coupon for the next time I needed an appliance to be serviced. The dispatcher was not even apologetic for the situation. I was also surprised, when I received the initial quote for $600, that the technician would not tell me the cost of the parts required to fix the problem. In the absence of this information, which I am used to being provided by repair companies, I have no way to judge if their repair price was reasonable. But when you have a refrigerator and freezer that is poorly functioning, you don't really have time to obtain a second quote to repair. In other respects, the technician who was on the job for all three appointments was helpful and professional. He showed me how to clean the condenser coils, which is not obvious on this built-in unit. I have no objective information as to who was truly at fault for the wrong part being delivered the first time. This is not what I expected for a firm rated as highly on Angie's List.

Very quick response, phone was answered promptly by a real person (in contrast to another service that took several tries to get through to!). The technician did come the same day, called before arriving & was very polite & professional. Overall a pleasure to deal with!

I called them on Friday and they said they could be there on Monday and they were. It was for an apartment that I manage that my mother lives in, in Revere. I could not be there but that was not a problem. They found the problem on the washer right away and fixed it. While there the repair person checked the dryer and found a loose and worn belt and it was repaired. They did a good job and were fast to get the washer and dryer working properly.

LOOK NO FURTHER. I am a tough customer. This company and Alex who visited by home are AMAZING. They are quick, fair, and unbelievably knowledeable. They know exactly what's wrong and they fix it. No muss no fuss. They are extremely pleasant and respectful. They know their stuff, inside and out. Give them ANY problem and viola, it is fixed. Believe me, I've gone through many repair shops, and there is absolutely no comparison to Same Day Service. STOP LOOKING AND JUST CALL THEM! YOU WON'T BE SORRY!

It went excellent. They did a good job and showed up when they said they would. We were happy bakers.

They are really the same day and that is the most amazing thing about them. I have used them a number of times. Everyone I have referred them to has had a good experience. They have also delivered what I needed and more. The other thing that is wonderful about them is that they are so on target. If they offer a service plan, they have the most price effective way of dealing with it.

If I could give them an A++, that's what I would do. I can't say enough good things about them. It is about the 4th time I have used them on various appliances.

It was fine. They would have come to fix the oven the same day, but i couldn't leave work, so set up the appt. for the next morning. The service person was professional and friendly and finished fairly quickly. The cost was about $250, which seems high, but I had an Angie's List coupon, which made the cost about $210.
