The person from Same Day Service easily found and removed the problem that prevented the oven from working (an easy fix, if one knows where to look) and found the problem with the lighter (a not so easy fix on our stove). He described the options to fix the second problem (some parts now being made only in New Zealand), explained why they would be pricey, suggested some alternatives, and was knowledgeable about this type of stove. This company is highly professional, serious, responsive and does good work.

We had an Angie's List coupon for the work by Same Day Service and this job seemed perfect for them. They surprised us with how quickly they were able to schedule a time to come out, then came out on time, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, and explained everything they did clearly, friendly, and professionally. Simple as that. We were very happy with all aspects of their service and quality and would definitely use them again.

A few visits but very nice to do business with. Ultra reputable. Will use them again for sure.

We are very pleased with Same Day Service. Our side-by-side refrigerator/freezer was warming up. I called at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and asked if they could send someone as soon as possible this morning. Kevan called at 9:00 to say that he was on his way. He was polite, knowledgeable, and thorough. The fan motor and a circuit board were replaced, and everything is working as it's supposed to. This is definitely a company that we will recommend to others.

The night before I had to go out of town my refrigerator started making unusual, loud sounds. I had to leave early the next morning to go out of town for about four days. I left a voice mail message for Same Day Service the same night that I heard the noise and said I would call the following morning at 8 to follow up. They beat me to the call the next morning. and we arranged for a neighbor of mine to let them in. We I arranged for credit card payment over the phone. My friend told me they came in, evaluated the problem quickly and took care of it; in and out in under an hour. Their quick response and flexibility allowed me to get an immediate repair. the refrigerator's manufacturer wanted to charge me more for the house call (ok $10 more, but still) and could not schedule someone until the following Thursday! I would recommend this organization to anyone who needs Same Day Service!

Amana refrigerator is two years old. It has a freezer drawer on the bottom. A year ago before we were using Angie's List we had a local repairman come in because the freezer wasn't freezing and water was leaking on floor. Now about 9 months ago and the same thing has happened again. We called Same Day and they did come the same day. Repairman said it was the thermostat made the repair the replacement quickly and efficiently. Said that something going wrong with refrigerators especially was pretty typical. Suggested but didn't press us to take their all encompassing service plan for $99. We did. He did quote a price with the plan of $457. We thought the repair was pretty steep but we had to get it done so he did. The next morning we discovered that the seal on one side of the freezer drawer wasn't seated to the refrigerator frame. There was a gap of a quarter inch. Called Same Day again and same repairman came out and after a lot of pushing and shoving got the drawer installed properly. No charge. Next day realized that the bulb in the ceiling drawer wasn't going and the drawer didn't seem to slide in as easily as it did originally. I bought a new bulb and installed it. Seemed to screw in all right but no light. Called Same Day and Greg came out again. Took my bulb screwed it in again and it worked. Drawer still doesn't slide it as nicely as before but he couldn't do anything with that. Sorry he said but we will have to charge you $90 for a service call. Obviously I was stupid not to have tried harder to screw in the light bulb. I sure won't call Same Day again and will just go out and buy a new refrigerator. It won't be Amana. I won't get a service agreement and I won't use Same Day Service.

My garbage disposal stopped grinding, even after I had pushed the reset button and tried to unstuck it myself with an Allen wrench. I called Same Day service on Sunday, left a message but didn't hear back from them on Monday morning so I called back Monday morning. They said that they would send someone out on the same day, and the repairman came at 4PM. First, he told me that if he were to start the work, it would be $120 (which I thought was a little expensive but better than replacing the whole disposal). Then he tried to unstuck it himself with an Allen wrench. When that didn't work, he used a big screwdriver. After 15 minutes or so, he was able to unstuck it, but the disposal now grinded very noisily. He examined but could not tell what caused the noise. He then told me that I could either leave it as it was (no guarantee when it would break down again), or replace it with either of the two models he had in his truck. One was a 1/2 HP Badger 5 (for $310 inc. installation) and the other one had a higher HP for more than $400. I did some quick research on Amazon and found that the Badger 5 was only $70 on Amazon and wasn't highly rated so I decided to to skip it. I asked if I could buy my own and have them install it but he said they don't install customer-provided disposals. In the end, I spent $120 to unstuck a garbage disposal but now has a very loud noise. Five days later, the disposal is still working, though.

Paul showed up the on time. He gave me the estimate to fix the thermometers in the freezer and started working on it. After he fixed the thermometer I asked him to take look at the ice maker as it was making hollow ice cubes. After couple of hours both issues were resolved and I was a happy man.Paul was very courteous, cleaned up after he was done. The price is not cheap but not more than any other company.

Our dishwasher was not cleaning our dishes properly. We had gotten one of the Angie's List Big Deal Coupon for this company and called them to schedule an appointment. They were able to promptly schedule an appointment and the worker was incredibly professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Instead of trying to find a broken part, he suggested replacing the entire washing unit. It was pretty expensive, but I figure it was cheaper than buying a new dishwasher or the labor/headache it would cost for him to take apart the whole dishwasher just to replace a few parts or to discover the whole thing needed to be replaced anyways. Plus, we had gotten $50 off from the coupon. Overall a great experience and I'd recommend them.

Everything was fixed to our satisfaction in a timely fashion.

SDS came out to repair my OLD gas dryer (left by the previous owner...at least 20 years old). Scheduling the appointment originally was a little difficult due to my schedule (work in Boston, live in burbs) and the 4th of July holiday. They have 4 hour windows. I was able to schedule a Saturday appointment which was great. The gentlemen arrived on time and he assessed the situation, replaced the ignitor and the vent. My husband was very pleased with the service (I was at the beach working on my tan). We will definitely use them again! Thank you.

He was on time, courteous, very quick and he knew what he was doing. Price is hard to say because it was cheaper then a new washer but it wasn't cheap. All repairs seem to be expensive but I think he had control over that. We will see how long the repair lasts. So far so good and we have done laundry and it has worked and all that. He was knowledgable and he answered our questions well. He was on time, he called before he showed up and was very professional. We have actually used this company before. They fixed two refrigerators and our dishwasher.

We called them at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and they called with a thirty-minute heads-up at 9:30 (and then, indeed, arrived at 10 a.m.). The technician looked at our dryer, deduced what was wrong (belt had come loose), gave us a quote on the spot, did the work, and was complete by noon. Really nice guy, to boot. It's all good.

The repairman came in 3 hours, even though it was not an emergency and I did not expect same-day service. He was totally professional and did an excellent and thorough job, and the problem is now fixed. The valves and pumps were damaged as a result of many years of operation with mineralized water. He replaced the water input line at no additional charge because it had not been installed properly when the dishwasher was first installed. The work is guaranteed. I am completely happy with the service.

We've been told before that this refrigerator was bad news!! Lots of complaints on this model... Wayne explained why it would not be worth the money to fix.. He was full of great info on this and other appliances we have!! Very personable and willing to help in any way!! Even wore covers on shoes so not to bring dirt in from outside!! I called at 10am and Wayne was here by 12 noon!! Even called before coming to let me know he was on his way!! AMAZING company!! Now i finally have a place to call when my appliances act up!! VERY PROFESSIONAL company!! Thanks Wayne!!

Merki was AMAZING! He was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. We had an "Angie's List Groupon" for the "big deal appliance tune-up" and Merki thoroughly checked out all our major appliances and found a few small issues. Specifically the water inlet regulator was clogged in our dishwasher (I looked at it, the screen was blocked) so he had to swap in a new one. Also, our refrigerator condenser needed a pretty good cleaning (it was super dusty back there - we just moved to a new house and I don't think the previous owners ever touched the appliances). He checked out the washing machine and dryer and they were both in good shape. Overall, I would definitely use this company again, and if you want to ensure that high level of service, I plan to ask for Merki again!

Great experience with this company. Bruce called a half hour before he was going to arrive and was very thorough in his diagnosis of what was going on. He explained everything to my husband during the process so he could know what was going on. We thought his rate was very reasonable considering he was there for four hours taking apart the dryer, checking the lint filter, and putting everything back together. By the time he left the dryer was working perfectly and we haven't had a problem or heard a squeak since.

Very well Dave came out at the exact time he said and diagnosed the problem and said they would have the part in a week, he was able to at a time that was convenient for me and he was very professional and personable. He explanied that it was under warranty for 5 years which made us very comfortable doing the work instead of buying a new dryer. i would definitely use them again and I have used them in the past. Wonderful company.

We bought Angie's list Big Deal to perform maintenance on our refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer and garbage disposal. Making appointment was quick & easy, and they were able to take us during the same week. The technician came right on time and promptly began the work. He was very knowledgeable and advised on on how to keep our appliances working longer. Did a great job cleaning everything. For example, our dishwasher used to leave some grounded up food particles on the dishes at the end of the cycle. The technician explained that, despite what the dishwasher manufacturers and Consumer Reports say, always rinse the dishes before putting in the dishwasher. He showed us that the dishwasher food grinder was clogged and, therefore, didn't do a good job grinding the food. He cleaned it out, we took his advice on pre-rinsing the dishes, and we haven't had the problem since. We also showed him how our gas stove burners had to be manually instead of automatically lit via pilot light. He diagnosed the problem and said that we needed to replace the burners because of corrosion. Since he didn't have the parts right then and there, he ordered them and came back the following week to replace the burners. They have been working great ever since.Overall, we are very happy with the service. We trust his judgment, his advices, and the prices were reasonable. The company serves its customers well.

Dryer would not heat but everything else seemed to be in order. I replaced the thermocouple myself and when that didn't work I called in the these guys. They showed up promptly when I scheduled them for the next day and even called before they arrived. The repairman was courteous and professional and fixed the problem and identified several other issues that had fire hazzards associated. By the time he was done it was hard to tell he had been there exceopt the dryer now worked better than it had before the fuse burned out.

Overall was a very good experience. I will definitely use the Same Day Service company again.

They are really responsive and professional. They came out the same day I called them. Their quality is great. I would use them again in the future.
