It went fine and again, the technician was great. The pricing is too high. Next time I would try a small local appliance repair person.

Called them and a service tech came out. He looked at the dishwasher and diagnosed that a part will have to be replaced. He called the office to find out the price of the part but it was a large amount of money. My dishwasher was at least 10 years old and it was not worth fixing it. He shared his wisdom on dishwasher and what to look for froma new one etc. Overall my experience with the company was excellent but I cannot comment on the quality as no service was performed.

It was giving displaying error code F24 and shutting down shortly after beginning a wash cycle. Originally we thought it might have been a hot water issue. That was not the case. It was a burned out/disconnected wire attached to the heating thermocouple. The repair man quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and took notes on the machine in the event that it might happen again. He also explained that I should get my dryer venting replaced with a rigid vent to comply with the code, and make sure that my tenant uses HE detergent only. I definitely appreciate his input on these issues. Not only did Same Day send a technician quickly. From the time he got there until the time he left after testing the machine to make sure it was working properly, it took a hour to an hour & 15 minutes. I was really impressed with their professionalism.

We called this company for the first time when our refrigerator started making a chirping noise. It was a Saturday afternoon, and they scheduled a visit for the following Monday. They do not give a half-day window which is the usual practice with home service companies, but they do not ask that you stay home all day since they give a 30-minute warning before the technician arrives. You only need to be within a 30-minute distance of your home. The technician arrived in early afternoon, quickly diagnosed the problem and informed us that the evaporator fan motor needed to be replaced. He said they would order the part and give us a call to schedule another visit. He estimated that this would happen within a week to 10 days. We also asked whether they cleaned kitchen ventilators to get rid of accumulated grease which, we had been led to believe, needed professional cleaning. He told us that ours did not need professional cleaning and took the time to show us how to open it up and remove parts to clean. Instead of the anticipated week to 10 days, we got a call the following day (Tuesday) that they were able to locate the refrigerator part and scheduled a visit for the next day (Wednesday). Another technician did the work this time, and was as professional, pleasant, and skillful as the first one. He recommended that we not do more than the necessary daily food shopping for a week during which time we should carefully watch how the fridge worked, in case there was an issue with the new motor. He even gave us a quick tutorial on optimal temperature settings, and on how to quickly remove a drawer for cleaning. Overall, this was the single most pleasant experience we have ever had with an appliance repair. This is a dependable company, a real human being picks up the phone every time you call, they are extremely responsive and prompt, and the technicians are highly skilled and professional. We will definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and neighbors. They offer a 10% discount for Angie's List members.

The service person was extremely helpful, knowledable, and also provided a tip on a problem with our ice/water function in the freezer side that we did not even call about. Very happy!

They were on time. They tried to up sale on other things but I declined although there was pressure put on for the additional things.

I called early afternoon. They said it would be the next day. The person on the phone checked with dispatch and they said they woul try for that day and would call 30 min before. They came the same day and waited while I picked up my grandchildren.

Everything went great and overall repair was fast. Repair man was polite.

They came quickly and the price estimate was fairly accurate. We would certainly use them again in the future.

He was able to come out the same day. I was thrilled. The burner on the stove was not working. He took apart my stove and got that fixed for me. I was very pleased and I would definitely use them again.

Called at 8 AM to arrange an appointment. The person answering the phone was pleasant and was accommodating to my schedule. Although no specific time window was set, I provided my availabiliy for the day and was told that the repair person would call my home phone (or cell phone, if there was no answer) one half hour before he'd arrive. He did just that. The repairman (Bruce) agreed that what I'd assumed was broken was broken, said he had the part on his truck, described what needed to be done, and got down to work. Bruce was personable and answered my general questions about the machine as he worked. He completed the work fairly quickly, gave me the Angie's List discount, ran the washer through various cycles to do an overall check of it, cleaned up (what little there was to clean up), and was off. I appreciated that the work could be done on a Saturday and overall was happy with the service.

Very convenient and professional: I needed to reschedule original service date (was in afternoon) that morning . The comany's customer service operator originally worked around my work schedule and the rescheduling also was convenient for me. The technician, Wayne, arrived respectful of our home and got right to work. He was prepared and had contact support of the company. A thorough check of dryer which was not very old was performed including venting from outside house. Results were discussed with cost estimate. On this same visit new drive assembly and burner coils were installed, and other items to be ordered. Second convenient service date was by technician, Jeff, also very professional, to install new cycle thermostat and lint screen. It was a short visit and he offered an explanation of energy efficient options on my dryer which I now use. Deposit payment was made of half for first visit and other half when all work completed on next visit .Our dryer has been operating like new!

The guys from SDS arrived on time, introduced themselves and set right to work, explaining what they were doing to each appliance. Inspection of my clothes dryer showed a hidden danger that they were able to repair with a follow-up visit. Overall I was very pleased with the service this company provided and would highly recommend them.

Contacted Same Day Service on line and got a call from them about an hour later to set up an appointment...they took some info on what we needed fixed, brand, type, model etc. They called the day before to confirm our appointment and gave us a two hour window. Greg arrived within that window and went righ to work...found the problem and had the part in his truck based upon what we had told the contact person on the phone. He replaced the part quickly and the problem was solved..it was the igniter on our oven. The price was reasonable and we got an Angieslist discount. I would use them again in a heartbeat..they were on time, fast and effective and they were up front on service call prices and fees...great job.

My washer gave an error code so I called to get a repair. Rich suggested that I try to leave it unplugged for 15 minutes to see if that would fix the problem and it did. Far better advice than I got from the internet and you can't beat the price.

The tune up and cleaning of my appliances was very informational. They explained what they were doing and how important it was for the machines to be tuned. They arrived on time, worked on the machines, and left me products to keep the appliances clean. I would definitely use them again.

We called Same Day Service to fix a couple of problems with our GE refrigerator. The water line was leaking and the icemaker was broken. The repair person arrived at our house and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly determined what the problem was and stopped the water leak, but needed to order parts to complete the fix as well as resolve the issue with the icemaker. Someone returned in about a week and installed the new parts. The appliance is working well now.

However, he did not know how to fix the machine. We were given a quote of what it would cost to replace the motherboard and perhaps wire harness plus labor and it was so high, the suggestion was to perhaps get a new machine. Our machine was purchased in 2004 and has been treated very well. After we researched the issue on the internet---and I had already done this research and told him--and searched for internal washer diagrams, we took the machine apart and did some fixes ourselves to the motherboard and it now works. It seems that a repairman should do this. I had given the fault number info and machine make and model when I called in a request for service

On 12/11/2012 one guy came to give an estimate, and told me the repair would need a new motor, the entire cost would be $450 ( $500+10% off for angie's list members). If we decided not to repair, the estimate trip would cost $90. After searching for a new stainless steel dishwasher and found the price to be $600 and more, we decided to repair. I called this guy and he ordered the new motor for me. A second guy came a few days later to install the new motor. Although he looked senior with grey hair, he was not as experienced as I thought. After 2 hours he started making phone calls for help. A third person came shortly to help configure the problem. This third person found that the diverting valve was broken. He told me they had to order the part again and came later. He also said he'd bring the main control broad just in case that's needed. The diverting valve is free, the main control broad would be $250. I told me if I had to change the main control broad I would not repair, I'd rather buy a new dishwasher. Then he said he was pretty sure the main control broad would not be needed. A few days later (on 12/28/2012) a 4th person came. He was quite professional and used shoe cover as he entered our house. He did the repair and the dishwasher was running. My husband was impressed this guy covered his shoes and wanted me to mention this in the review. The 2nd guy and the 3rd guy just came in with their shoes from outside. Anyway, on 12/28 night I tested the dishwasher with a full cycle. It was leaking at the lower left corner. In the next few days I tested it again and again, each time leaking about 1 tablespoon of water. On Jan 2 we called the Same Day Service Company again. The staff was helpful and she scheduled someone to come on the same day. The 5th person came in the afternoon and found the door was ill-adjusted. He fixed the door and the dishwasher was running like new. I am very happy about the repair.

The company was great from initial phone call to arrival of the tech. I explained that I have a vintage stove that needed some tune up and a valve replacement. The tech arrived and looked at the stove, telling me that they really didn't handle the older ranges and that they would find the part. He then pulled out the knob that controlled the working oven to see how it worked, resulting in the right oven not working. I don't really blame the young man, as the knobs usually are removable! I'd have been better off not calling them. Though they were as nice and professional and as punctual as is humanly possible, they should have told me that they didn't deal with vintage stoves. It would have saved me $89.00 that I could have given to the man who is now helping me fix it.

The SDS Technician arrived on time and was very professional and courteous. He inspected and cleaned the appliance components. In addition, he offered recommendations for maintaining our appliances and left cleaning and deodorizing materials for the washing machine. The SDS tech also cleaned up after himself and informed me about a maintenance plan offer I could purchase for the refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, and dryer. I would certainly use SDS again for this service and other repairs (the repairs SDS made for us during 2009 and 2010 went just as well).
