Excellent experience. Came in and replaced the electronic dashboard which had shorted out in my fridge. they came out the same day so they live up to their name. very important particularly when a fridge is broken.

Had to pull dishwasher out to access motor. Not an easy job but repair person competently replaced failed motor and installed dishwasher back under counter. Works like new now.

The technician pointed out a coolant leek in the refrigerator in my garage that causes excessive electricity use. Once the technician showed me the frost build-up in that refrigerator, I had to admit to the problem. He informed me that the problem I had with the perma-press program in my washer was caused by a broken shoe around my ball bearings. Even though he discovered a problem with the washer, he ran a cleaning solution through the washer since the washer worked somewhat. He discovered tears in the duct from my dryer and replaced the flexible ducts with stronger more rigid ducting material and cleaned out the remaining pieces of the ducting system. He ran a cleaning solution through my dishwasher. He checked out the functioning of the garbage disposal and advised me to occasionally run ice cubes through the garbage disposal. He cleaned behind and in front of the refrigerator in the kitchen and re-assured me that my cleaning service was properly cleaning that area. He left unused cleaning products behind for my future use. Since he made no attempt to sell me any appliances, I felt that his evaluations were unbiased. After the visit, I purchased a new refrigerator and washer from my favored appliance dealer and had that dealer install. After I used the new appliances and the fixed dryer venting, NSTAR reported a drop in my electric usage. Since I apparently have a problem recognizing problems with my appliances, I intend to request this service again in a couple of years. I certainly will call Same Day if I ever have an appliance problem that requires a rapid fix.

Two techs came and they were very thorough and professional and the appliances did seem much cleaner and better running after the service. They do try to sell you additional services. We had a problem with one of the appliances they had serviced shortly after the services were performed, and they came back and addressed it promptly. If you have older appliances or don't maintain them the way you probably should, this is a worthwhile service.

We’ve used them couple of times and we are happy with their service. They couldn’t fix the dishwasher and said that it would be more cost-effective for us to get a new one, which we did. We had to pay $85 for the service call, but I valued their opinion.

I tried Same Day because they offered a Big Deal ($100 in Repair Services for $49). They charge $80 to diagnose the problem, then quote a fixed cost for the parts and repair. The $80 is applied to the total if you OK the repair. I dislike this pricing system, since it always seems to favor the servicer, not the customer. The tech found the problem quickly and had the needed parts in his truck, so the entire visit took a little over an hour. He was knowledgeable and friendly, and the washer still works. I looked up the prices of the parts he used online, and calculated that they charged me $180 for the 70 minutes plus the mark-up on the parts. A high price indeed for convenience!

The price was reasonable. They were really knowledgeable about their appliances. I have an antique stove, and other places could not fix it and they didn’t have the parts. I didn’t get the parts, but these guys came out and spent a couple of hours adjusting it and now it works. My appliances are holding up well and its working.

Company was very responsive.

The whole experience was a positive one. The two technicians arrived on time, worked efficiently, explained to me exactly what they were doing and why. They corrected a safety glitch for an additional charge. They also gave me honest advice on whether or not to repair the automatic water dispenser which was broken.

We have a second refrigerator well over 10 years of age. It had stopped cooling and freezing normally. I phoned SDS and the same day someone came, gave me an honest appraisal of what we would need, the parts required, and the exact cost. The technician was courteous and professional, as well as candid about not being able to promise long-term satisfaction. Phoned the company and was told there was a 5-year guarantee on the parts, and 90 days on labor. On May 6, another technician, Jeff, arrived to install the parts. He was punctual, courteous, intelligent, and efficient. However, the new starter part didn't seem to fit the refrigerator, meaning we would need to wait another couple of days. He made some calls, promised to return, and left disappointed that he couldn't get the fridge to start. Within an hour, he phoned to say he had spoken with someone who led him through adapting the starter to our appliance, and THE SAME DAY, returned for the second time to finish the installation. THE FRIDGE IS RUNNING PERFECTLY, better than ever, thanks to Jeff's persistence and pride in his work. It's rare to see this today, and I appreciate very much his professionalism and care. SAME DAY SERVICE delivers what it promises. I was not charged for extra time or labor, which was considerable and unexpected. I cannot say enough for both technicians who came and saved our "old girl" for several more years of cooling service!

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special for this service and they were awesome. They were super responsive when I called and they came out within a day; they definitely made it out quickly. My appliances are a couple of years old and are baseline models. The service tech took a look at the refrigerator and realized that the original purchaser of the appliance had taken off a big back covering for the water return. He manufactured another box to replace it so it worked. He cleaned up the dishwasher and showed me how to keep it fresh and clean. The technician offered their service plan to us which featured immediate service on the appliances if something goes wrong and replacement if they cannot fix the problem. We did not take it but he did not up-charge us for the work he did. He was really straightforward and was a really great service guy who was very respectful and did a great job.

This is the 2nd time we have used them. They are responsive, pleasant, professional and efficient. I will continue to use them for all my appliances in the future.

Went ok. More money than I really wanted to spend but that is life.

The staff of Same Day Service Company Inc. were punctual, they were polite, they cleaned up after themselves and they're honest to us on what needed to be done.

They came out quickly, and that’s good when someone has an appliance down. The technicians gave good service and were knowledgeable as well. They knew what they were doing. They had the right tools and the parts too.

The serviceman came within the time frame indicated. Looked at the dryer and assessed the needed repair. had the parts with him and completed the repair within the hour.

Called in the morning, and the technician, Mike, arrived at 5:30PM. He was able to diagnose the problem pretty quickly and had the part with him. He quoted me the exact price and was able to replace it in a half hour. Mike was personable and knowledgeable, explaining exactly what the problem was. After completing the fix I noticed him pick up a couple of small pieces of debris/link from the rug, leaving the work area as clean as he found it. This hasn't been my experience with other companies. He also discussed their service contract option for all of my appliances in a non-pressure, informational way. After this positive experience we're considering engaging them for their service contract as well. The only negative is that the price is on the high side considering the technical difficulty of the work done. It was within the realm of a competent DIY'er, although I'm glad to know it's done, and done right.

The repairman's first visit confirmed what was wrong with both the washer and the stove. He quoted it and left us time to make our decision. Once we moved forward, the parts were ordered and he showed up soon after to do the repairs which took about 3 hours.

Their name says it all. I sent an email to Same Day Service on Sunday night around 9pm and I received a phone call at 8:02am on Monday. i described the problem over the phone and since I had the error codes from the washer a service tech called me back and we discussed the issue. We set up a day for them to come out, they called to let me know they were on their way, they showed up and fixed it in no time. Great service from start to finish.

The guy knew what he was doing. He was expert on appliance repair. Also, he was very easy to talk with. He seemed to be interested in providing service to us. He helped us use the appliances as fast as possible. I was very impressed with his service.

The business will not give you an estimated time of arrival. Instead, they tell you that it will be anytime after either 8:00 or 9:00 am (don't recall which) and call you 30 minutes before the service person is going to arrive. I recognize that the business's promise of same day service makes timing unpredictable, but I found this to be extremely inconvenient. Effectively, I couldn't go anywhere more than 15 minutes away all day. The service person called just before 4:00 pm, and arrived just before 4:30 pm, so the whole day was shot. That said, if you needed a same-day repair (instead of a routine service), you might be willing to put up with this level of inconvenience. The service person was very pleasant and professional, and seemed knowledgeable. However, I did not think that the fairly minimal services he provided were "a deal" at the $149 I had paid for the coupon. It was great to get the refrigerator coils cleaned and the bottom area of the dryer cleaned, but as to the washer and dishwasher, I could have bought the cleaning tablets myself for less than $10 at the supermarket.

3/8/13: Repairman came to diagnose a problem with my washing machine. It was inexplicably leaking when it was not in use. He showed me what was wrong and placed the order for the parts. He told me that it could be 4 to 8 business days before the parts arrived, and that I would receive a call from the company to set up an appointment to do the work when the parts came in. I paid that day for the parts and labor. It is worth noting that this happened on a very snowy morning. I was very appreciative that the repairman made the effort to drive out to my home despite the weather. 3/13/13: I received a call in the afternoon saying that the parts had arrived. The man who called said that if the repairmen had time before the end of the day, they would come out that day, but otherwise they would come the following day. I did not hear back from anyone that afternoon, but the next day a repairman called and said he could be at my home in about a half hour. He arrived when he said he would, and spent about an hour fixing the washing machine. It has worked fine since then. Both repairmen who came to our home were courteous and seemed knowledgeable. We are pleased with the work. The cost was significant, but certainly much less expensive than purchasing a new washing machine. I recommend Same Day Service Company.

Our refrigerator became noticeably noisier, and the freezer compartment temperature had gotten colder. We called Same Day Service on a Friday mid-day. The representative was courteous and intelligent, and arranged to have a serviceman call; she also clearly explained their charging policy: a base fee for the house call and diagnosis, which would be due if we did not choose to have the work done; or a calculated fee for parts and book-specified labor if we did. As this was well into Friday, she said they would like to schedule for Monday, which was fine. They can specify approximate time, plus the repairman will phone at least 1/2 hour before coming -- an excellent arrangement. In our case, we received a call on Saturday: they were ahead of schedule and would we like to have the service done that afternoon. Fine. The serviceman arrived as arranged, and attentively listened to our description of the unit's behavior. He then did some investigation, a little testing, and concluded that the problem lay in a malfunction of the defrost (frost-free) mechanism. He explained this clearly, and showed us some of the early symptoms. He calculated the price for the repair. We agreed he should go ahead. He proceeded to replace two components, work which went smoothly. He allowed us to help maneuver the unit out from the tight corner slot, avoiding any problem of breakage or scratching. All through the work, he was friendly and communicative. We're quite satisfied by this operation.

Our clothes dryer was making a loud squeaking sound, so I called same day service at around 3pm to come and have a look at it and they said they would try and have an engineer come out that day. in the end I had to call back and postpone until the following day. The phone operator was very nice and accommodating. The engineer came within the given time slot and after taking a look at our drier, told me that he would need to change our vent to meet code. The dryer itself needed a new driver and so after agreeing the costs, he set to work. He changed the vent hose, replaced the driver and thoroughly tested the operation of the dryer. Everything was complete within one hour and I was very happy with the work done.

Excellent. I would refer this company to friends and would not hesitate to call them again. Excellent, I would use this company again and wouldn't hesitate to refer them to anyone.
