Description of Work: Last fall I was unable to get my lawn mowed before winter and as a result, there was a lot of dead grass left on my lawn. This summer, I did not hire a lawn mowing team early so when I hired MERRIMACK PROPERTIES to dethatch my lawn, they first had to mow it to a reasonable height. They charged me an additional fee to do this which I felt was OK. The owner was very pleasant to work with and his team quickly and efficiently both mowed my lawn and dethatched it. I was confortable with the team and I think they did a very creditable job. I think they were a little more expensive than I had planned on but I attribute this belief to the fact that , prior to his passing, my husband used to tend to all of the outside chores and I am still unused to determining today's prices. I would hire them again should I need additional lawn thatching.

Description of Work: Dave Bernstein did spring cleaning for our two-family home. The cleaning was long overdue and we had a lot of dead leaves, dried branches, and lots of trimming to be done. He was responsive, punctual, and did an excellent job. He also gave me several good ideas for how we can get more out of our yard. The price was reasonable.

Description of Work: Aerated lawn. |Would have liked the plugs to be deeper but looking at other lawns this appeared to be the norm. |David did double up on some areas to make sure they were aerated. |Offered another lawn service which was acted on promptly, reasonably in cost, and was well done.

Description of Work: They never scheduled an appt. Rather just showed up when no one was home. So, I assume they did the work. Aeration itself was fine. Doing work on a day/time not even checked with homeowner is unprofessional. Did the work when ground was still too hot.

After communicating with [member name removed] via email on multiple occasions, she requested her lawn aeration to be completed after Labor Day (9.1.14). I was personally at her property on 9.3.14. Weather was in the low 60's all week and ground conditions were ideal. I appologize if the email communication over the course of August and September was not enough. It sounds like you are pleased with the work that I did, but if you are not, I am happy to come out again in the spring free of charge.

There are two things you want to look for in a quality lawn aeration job. The first is complete coverage of the lawn. The second is a core penetration with a minimum of 1". Description of Work: Bought the aerating through a deal. Heard back from them very quickly. Initially scheduled an appointment for the coming weekend, but that was then rescheduled for the following week. | |Work was done as re-scheduled. Unforunately, the yard was very dry in spots (not their fault), so that the aerating was limited in those areas.

When core aerating, it is essential that the root system of the turf is penetrated, and although your soil was dry and compact, the machine still did what it needed to do. Some cores will look longer than others, but as long as the root system is penetrated, the process was a success. Knowing that you lawn is pretty dry, lets run the sprinklers the night before I come next time. Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you!

If this is the first time you have ever aerated your yard and the soil is very rocky, your lawn will not have the same results as one that has more topsoil in it.
