The appointment went great. The provider was professional. He took his time and was very thorough. He also took the time to explain the scope of the work and why additional services were needed.

I was pleased with the service. My only issue is that he left mybasemen screen door wide open and if I hadn't noticed it, it was possible that my two indoor cats may have escaped and/or we could have received some unwelcome visitors in the night.

They didn't do anything at all. They stated that we were short of freon and still didn't do anything. A tune up to me is to add freon to an air conditioner. My invoice shows they did no work other than a bill for $333 to continue with any work. $123 to add freon which is insane! Why list tune up if nothing was done? To me it seems like they came here to evaluate the situation and that is it. On the invoice it stated that just to come out and diagnose the problem was $130 without being an Angies List member. There is nothing wrong with my A/C I just wanted it tuned up like stated on the big deal. The service provider who came out to do the service called the owner and said this is supposed to be a tune up and I wanted freon because it was low. The owner stated it was not apart of it and it would be $123.

ARS was very responsive, rescheduling when we needed to with no problem. The technician, Chris T., was prompt, informative and courteous. He examined all the components of our A/C, changed some filters that needed to be changed, and put the system through it's paces to make sure everything was working properly

Overall the service was excellent! I was given a 2 hour time frame when the technician would arrive. I received a second call narrowing the time within a half hour. The person arrived at the time indicated. He performed all of his work efficiently. He answered questions when asked providing details as requested. Overall a wonderful job!!

They showed up when they said they would He managed to clean some areas that I have no idea how he got to. It was so impressive how he was able to get those areas clean. The system is running much better. There was a place where the vent goes through the insulation that wasn’t well sealed and he sealed it as well. This work was not a part of the Big Deal, but he did it at no additional charge. They did a good job.

Great. We have Chris coming back again to take care of issues that we inherited when we bought the home.

Marc was courteous and professional. He came in the middle of the appointment time window. He explained any issues and addressed them while he was here.

Service Representative Marc E. came out to do the annual maintenance of our AC system. He called 1/2 hr ahead of his arrival and got here well within the window reserved. He was very forthcoming with information about our system and made suggestions that would help us optimize its use. He recommended we have a float valve installed and we were happy to have it done. When I asked about additional filters for the system he gave us the phone number of a filter company and the size of the filter we need to buy.. This is the first time we've done business with ARS and Marc and his company get an A in my book!

On a 1-10 rating scale, 10 being best, I would give this service call, technician (Nick G) and company a score of 25! I am often disappointed in work performed for me in my home (non-Angie's list companies recommended by others). As a relatively new member, this is the first time I have used an Angie's List recommended company and what a pleasure it was! Our home is just under 3 years old but I read that the A/C and water heater should be maintained regularly. I essentially knew this but never really wanted to have it done because I did not want the hassles that I often encouter from service companies. So, I delayed. I received an Angie's List coupon in my email and thought I would give ARS Boston a call. My service was performed about 5 days later which was just fine. Not an emergency. The technician, Nick G, was excellent. He was punctual, friendly, informative (I like to know what's being done and particular findings), spotlessly clean in his work and very pleasant and knowlegable. Recommendations were made but it was explained that they were not essential at this time. I will definitely keep them in mind for when the budget will allow their completion. In short, I could not be more please with today's service call from ARS Heating and Air Conditioning Service (ARS Boston). I am now thinking that my hunt for an excellent, honest and reliable company for appliance maintanance and repair may be over!!! That's a great feeling. One less worry... Oh, one more thing...I was told that Angie's List members receive discounts from the regular service prices so be sure to tell the scheduler when you call that you are a member of Angie's List.

The repairman, Eric, was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He even put on shoe covers so as to not soil my carpet and hardwood floors. I stood looking over his shoulder as he worked and he explained to me each action as he worked. He went into such detail that maybe I could do it myself next time, but I don't think that I would try it. I felt confident that Eric did an excellent and professional job. ARS will be my a/c people from now on.

They were not the cheapest estimate and they recommended the most high-end equipment. I would have to say that ARS was probably the best contractor I have ever worked with. They were very responsive, sent a competent team and took care of all the inspection and rebate paperwork. The owner of the company even came out and did an inspection of the work. Months later they proactively followed up to test my air conditioning. Also replace a faulty thermostat within three hours of my calling them.

All workers were very professional.Very satisfied with work done. Because it was installed in the cold weather I was told I would need to have them check the charge before the warm weather started. I did'nt even need to call them, they called me to set an appointment to check the system before the weather got hot. Great service!

The furnace was leaking from the pressure relief valve. I was told that the leaking was the result of a blockage. The entire furnace would have to be completely disassembles and cleaned. It would be expensive and being that the furnace was twenty five years old, it would not be worth fixing. He wanted $6100.00 to do the job. I decided to get another bid. He charged me $130.00 for the service call. Another contractor told me that all it needed was an expansion tank which cost about 80.00. ARS LIED TO ME.

Work was professional, on time and within budget.

Friendly young man arrived on time. Put on protective booties. Checked everything out, changed oil filter cemented crack in chimney. Have used this company before. Find them dependable. Would call them again.

They were very courteous, prompt and professional. They explained how it had to be up to code, and told us about the labor costs. They did in one day as promised, there were no snags it went very smoothly. We will use them again in the future if necessary.
