The ARS Professional was very helpful and went above and beyond my expectations.

Nothing needed for AC unit. Furnace with recommended repair, quote given.

Smooth. Technician did a fast, efficient job of it. Did not flag any special work items but did offer a discount on future work. The tech was polite and easy to work with.

My husband was very delighted. They did everything that they said they would do. The work was done beautifully, quickly, and professionally.

There were a couple kinks scheduling the work - they were told that I had to be somewhere by 9 AM and they booked me for a 7:00 AM appointment. When they didn't show up by 8 I called and found out that "7AM" means the 7AM to 9 AM window. This meant they had to wait a few minutes to come in... but they weren't too perturbed and but they came and performed the work in a professional manner. Since this was just a checkup - they weren't tackling a specific issue. They gave us a checklist of the services performed and found a clogged condensate drain tube which they repaired. I wish they had listed out all the items that were checked instead of mentioning the one thing that was wrong. I would use them again and request they fill out their forms entirely next time.

I purchased the Big Deal from Angie's List for $79. The company was very persistent in contacting me and scheduling a visit which was much appreciated. It turned out that the agreement was for inspection and maintenance work on one air conditioning system and we have 3 systems. They offered to do all three at this visit for a higher cost, but we decided to begin with just one system (one we had some problems with) and see how it went. The serviceman (Gordon) arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, explained everything in understandable terms and in great detail (again much appreciated) and was able to diagnose and correct a problem that we had had for years for a modest cost (additional ~$200) that our prior A/C service was unable to fix despite multiple visits. Will definitely use again.

Terrible experience .... This was one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a service provider. We had a problem with an HVAC back in June and we got this coupon for ARS to come out to 'service' the system and figure out what was wrong. I did inform the person on the phone that it was a third floor unit so they would need a ladder for the roof access (where the condenser is). The FIRST time they came out the system was frozen and they could not work on the inside unit. I was aware that maybe the problem so this was not a surprise. The tech said he could not do anything anyway so he would not go to the roof this time plus he did not have a ladder. He suggested that we change the fliter, let the unit thaw, and see if it would work after 12 hours with the system off... So... 12 hours later - still did not work. I call them to set up a follow up visit and could not get another appointment for over 7 days. This SECOND time - I was able to be at the appointment - but my tenant who lives in the unit told me that a tech came and spent about an hour or so there. He spent most of the time in the car. He apparently looked at the unit inside and 'performed the tune up'. He said nothing about any problems or leaks AND did NOT bring a ladder so he could not check the roof unit. So.... we set up a THIRD appointment - over ANOTHER week later. I was able to meet the technician - he DID bring the ladder this time. He made his way slowly to roof where he determined that there was a leak in the condensor coil and it needed to be replaced. He recommended that I call the manufacturer and see if it was still under warranty and go through them due to the cost. He also said he could not fix it. So, I am at least happy to know WHERE the problem is...supposedly... and now onto another search to find someone who can/will replace the coil. After multiple failed attempts to find someone to replace the coil, I finally found a great HVAC guy (to be discussed in another review). He contacted the manufacturer, got the part, and set up a timely appointment to replace it. Both of us MISTAKENLY trusting this previously diagnosed problem. Long story short, the coil was NOT broken or leaking at all. And a brief inspection of the inside unit, the leak was identified. Literally, maybe 10 minutes to fix it. Ugh... So... after a very long, hot summer without AC, my patient tenants FINALLY have cool air (just in time for fall) AND we now have a trusty HVAC tech which it is NOT ARS.

Will not use their service in the future.

One system was serviced and the other, which was 25 years old, was replaced. All of the work was done on schedule and in a very professional manner. All of the people that I dealt with from ARS were very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again.

The service person showed up exactly when scheduled and was very polite. He did a thorough job and luckily found that I had no issues. I will use them again next year.

There's nothing bad about ARS - Heating & Air Conditioning Services - 8577. I'm sure the pump would have been the same price as the other provider. I went there and checked and there was no leak afterwards. I would use them again if I need them.

Cause the deal on Anges list regard AC tune up and as I had ac problems I called this company to do it. After he reviewed my house the technician told me that my compressor was not working and he did not know if it was because of missing freon or something else (around 15 mins or so) . He also told me it can happen if we have an leak in the condenser or inside to the house unit. Because I was interested to know where the problem was, I asked if he can try to find the leak. He made a call to his office and gave the cost to do it. At the end he told me the leak is in the condenser, but it is almost impossible to find the exact place. He gave me a price for a new condenser and in the recommendation there is a note that the new condenser will have a guarantee but that did not include any leak in the pipes. ( I thought the leak was just in the condenser). At the end I was in the same spot that I was at the beginning and over 400 out of my pocket. Regard the good part, the gentleman was polite and on time.

The work was done thoroughly and in a very professional manner. The only issue that I had with company was that I was sold further maintenance work (for over $600) after using one of Angie's Deals for a check-up visit. I paid for the work upfront and was told that I would hear from the office to set up day and time. This call never happened. That is, until Angie's called me up months later to check in on how the service was performed. The response to Angie's call was immediate. I believed that this was an honest oversight and would use the company again without hesitation.

Thorough professional analysis and "back of envelope" proposal.

The technician, Marc, was punctual, did a thorough assessment of our air conditioning system, and reported the results to me. He answered my questions thoroughly and was very professional.

That was OK. You can rate them 'B' for all categories.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it worked out very good. They were very nice people who were honest and did the right thing. They recommended that I get my unit changed next year. The quality was very good. They were very punctual and responsive.

The service technician arrived on time was courteous and friendly. He communicated his plan of inspection before starting the job. He was thoughtful enough to put those paper doilies over his shoes every time he entered the house (I felt bad for the guy as the AC Unit is outside downstairs and the heating unit was on the 4th floor he must have gone back and forth a half dozen times!) He provided a report of the inspection and fixed any potential problems, such as added insulation to AC Coil outside that was damaged. Cleaned the entire unit, released some freon as it was overfilled and taxing the unit and making it more expensive and less cost effective. Very Happy with the whole experience from the polite and professional manner given by the receptionist while booking the appointment to the obvious pride in work performance of the technician.

Just fine. Spent about 1 1/2 hours running tests on the A/C and adding the coolant. Very professional and courteous.

ARS was great to work with. While we did have a pay a fee of $150 for them to come out to our home to scope out and quote the job, it was well worth it. On this first visit they not only priced out the work we were looking to have done, but also spent approximately two hours servicing our existing units. The quote we got for them was actually much more reasonable than many other providers we met with and best all they we not dead-set on trying to upsell us on getting rid of our current condensors and purchasing new ones. Rather, when they came for the initial estimate they were able to accurately assess the state of our current units and determined that they were fine leverage. This assessment and their expertise saved us thousands of dollars that other HVAC providers were trying to convince us to spend. On the they day they did the work they were on time and great to work with. Very friendly, responsive and professional. Additionally, when I needed a small issue addressed two days after the initial work was done, they had a crew at my home addressing the issue within 2.5 hours of me placing the call. Talk about quick and responsive service. All in all, ARS was great to deal with and I can assure that as a result of this work, we will be contacting them again in the future when the need arises.

Actually, I feel I gave all my evaluation yesterday on the phone and I was very satisfied with their work. I do not remember the actual date but I remember that I called them and made an appointment and they came when it was convenient for me. They came on schedule and we did not have any problems.

The Deal worked out really well. I will be using this company again.

They found some problems in the system so I had to spend a significant amount of money in putting life.
