'They were the most expensive of all quotes, We selected Carrier Corp, but they poo poohed it saying it is only a name ,, and their brand was superior, Having lived in the Northeast for 40+ years, I could not take their spiel! Great company, terrific customer service. We just weren't able to use the certificates with our current HVAC system. The company said it was better for us to upgrade our system rather than perform the service.

It went very well, Eric informed me that my thermal coupling was failing and suggested replacement. Replacing it now would prevent an exhuberant service call fee in the very near future.

My husband and I met with Tom Darmetko, Project Manager for ARS Heating & A/C Services in August/2013 to discuss changing over from oil heat to gas heat. Tom explained what we could expect by changing our heating system. Tom e-mailed us a proposal for the work that would be done. We met with Tom again and made arrangements fo a new gas furnace to be installed on Sept. 19th. First, we were told that this change over from oil heat to gas heat would take two days. The ARS man arrived on time and he was very nice to deal with. He told us exactly what he would be doing and said other ARS men would be arriving shortly. The next thing I know there are four ARS men working in our cellar, one was running a gas line from one end of cellar to where the new gas furnace would be, one man was removing the old oil furnace and installing the new gas furnace, the electrician was doing his job and the plumbing was doing his job. I could not believe how fast these ARS men worked and how professional all of them where. By 5:00pm that night my new Lennox gas furnace was completely installed and my cellar was cleaner than when the ARS men had arrived. The new furnace is beautiful! I would recommend ARS Heating & A/C Services to anyone who needs any type of HVAC services.

We purchased a deal through Angie's list for ARS to do tune up of our HVAC system. Within no time after we purchased the deal, we got a phone call to schedule the appointment. They were very accommodating to our needs for scheduling the service. The day of the appointment, they arrived on time. (In fact, they arrived before time and waited for us.) The technician serviced the HVAC system, explaned that the inflow of air should not be blocked. We were very pleased with the service. That day, it was very hot and humid, and we put the AC on for some time. We discovered some condensation, for which we had to call them again. They immediately acknowledged the issue and were able to schedule an appointment the very next day. The technician came and addressed the issue. He had to put in a section of a pipe. He guaranteed that the condensation would not happen again. They did not charge us for the service call. We have used ARS in the past also and have been very happy with their service.

I was contacted promptly to set up the appointment. He was here at the appointed time. (In fact, a bit before I was.) The gentleman was very professional and knowledgeable. Tested the air conditioning unit. Inspected it and the related electrical equipment. Went beyond that to the furnace, where he pointed out problems, one of which was dangerous. Did it in an educational, non-alarming manner. Explained trade offs, for example, the wearing of the "points" in the circuit to start up the unit, and even concluded that the old air conditioner would probably do okay for a couple of years. Didn't try to sell me anything. I went in being skeptical about whether paying for "nothing" (it was an inspection rather than lubricating or fixing something or charging the unit) was a good idea, but it was for our more than ten-year old equipment, which could easily have had a problem that would have caused it to conk out at a very inconvenient time.

It went extremely well! He was very, friendly and took me room to room and explained why the vents were where they are and the function of each vent and the importance of keeping furniture off of them. He explained to me the need for air to be able to flow from room to room and showed me how to use my thermostat properly. He had great suggestions for covering certain vents and showed me how the equipment in the basement works. He even changed my filter for me. I had the filter, but didn't know which way to put it in. He also took me outside to explain the central air machine. Also, I added and extra room a few years ago and was not getting enough heat/air in that room. He explained that when I added the extra room, I didn't upgrade my equipment to be able to accommodate that extra space. I am working my equipment too hard to get air into that room I need bigger equipment. I never assumed that was the problem! But he's right. He even cleaned and ran tests on the equipment, which is still in great shape. My bill from running the central a/c all summer was about $100 less because I followed his recommendations! He was very, very thorough and knowledgeable and didn't rush. The only thing I didn't really like, and I hate to mention this because I am 100% satisfied with him and this company, is the cigeratte butts all over the driveway. I share a rather large driveway with 2 other families and it's always clean. It was weird to see the truck pull away with all of those butts all over the driveway. I don't know if he smoked all of them or spilled his ashtray around on the ground but I had to clean up after him. But if I had a problem, I would want him back to do the work and just clean up again! No problem! I am very, very pleased with this company. Great job! Thanks!

I had an issue with a clogged furnace drain so I needed someone quick and they were able to complete the job the next day. They did a thorough job and provided me some additional maintenance tips. I would definately use again.

We used ARS of Boston to tune up our furnace for the upcoming winter season. We had previously used them for their AC tuneup special on Angies List. I am so glad we purchased their services. Jason V came to the house, on time, and was awesome! Not only did he perform the required service, he took the time to show me how it worked, and how to most efficiently use it. Jason V answered every question I had, and madeit easy for me to want to write this review! I will certainly use ARS of Boston again, and will request Jason V as my technician!!!

We had 2 different servicemen come out and, while they seemed very helpful, they contridicted themselves when diagnosing the problem with our A/C. I didn't feel 100% confident with the advice that I was given, but they did do a very good job educating me and showing me how to change the a/c filters. The serviceman also mentioned that that the deal only covered 1 A/C unit and our house has 3 units. The wording in the Big Deal is a little ambiguous as it says "1 coupon per system". They had to come out a second time and it would have been nice if they had called ahead to schedule a time.

We saw a Angie's list "big deal" for a heating system tune-up. We chose to use this provider based on reviews we read on Angie's list. When the Tech came to the house he was very professional and I was impressed that he put on boot covers on to protect our floors. He was also very informative and explained the whole process as it went along. About half way through this process, the Tech's supervisor showed up at the house, He explained to me that they randomly checked-up on their workers to make sure everything is being done as it should as part of their quality control assurance. We were very happy with this Angie's list "big Deal" and this provider, and would recommend them to others.

We've been in our condo for 7 years now and our central A/C unit is on the roof of our building and we are on the top floor. For the last 2 years, the return duct (where you place the filter) in our hallway ceiling has been dripping water. At first it was just a little, and then over time, it increased, but only when the unit was off. Last summer we had another repair company take a look and after many hours and several hundred dollars, they still could not quite solve the problem. ARS to the rescue!! I called ARS in the morning and they were able to get to us the same day. They arrived a little later than they said they would, but no big deal. Their technician took time to listen to everything I had to tell him about the problem and what had already been attempted in terms of repair. The tech was very thorough in ruling out other potential causes of the problem. He was here for several hours, but did a great job explaining what he was doing and why. In the end, he solved the problem and that's the most important part. I would highly recommend their services.

ARS provided the estimate for all three services. Nick G was the Service provider who gave us the estimate and performed the actual flushing of the hot water tank and tune up of the furnace. Hea nanswered all the questions that we had and was complete with his portion in a little over an hour. He cleared the faucets of all sediments. The Duct Man was the sub contractor who vacumed all the registers in every room and vacumed the furnace. They even vacumed the floors to ensure that no debris was let behind. They were very thorough and professional. Their portion was completed in less than three hours.

Went very well. He was efficient and professional. I recommend him highly to anyone who needs this service. We intend to use him in the future for other need.

Service was performed. Not clear what was done. Unit is rented. No paperwork provided to renter. Owner called with questions after service. The technician never returned the call. No paperwork or written follow up sent to owner.

They were a little late, but not very. They did a good job.

I am happy to say everything went great, he answered all my questions and was very through with checking everything out to make sure there were no other problems

The technician was prompt in his initial visit to conduct an estimate and was flexible in my desire to have several different estimates for varying levels of work. They performed the installation as scheduled and submitted the appropriate rebate peperwork on my behalf. They are professionals and I would definitely use ARS again.

Marc called to say he could come early if that was ok with me . I was delighted. He was a very nice young man who explained everything that he would do. He was very courteous and professional. I would certainly have him come next year .

I had a great experience with ART. They accommodated my request for an earl appointment, coming to the house at 7:00am. While we had initially ordered service for the A/C through an Angie's List deal, we ended up having our 2 heating systems looked at too. The technician was absolutely thorough and as a new and first-time home owner, I really appreciated that he took the time to show me what he was doing and explain it all in a way that I could understand. He even walked through the house with me to check all of our carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to make sure that we're being safe. I would not hesitate to contact ARS is our systems need service in the future.

Service person arrived within stated timeframe. David was professional, thorough, and most informative of things I should know of the unit's operation, also checking chimney and carbon monoxide levels. Left work area neat and clean. The company were very professional and responsive. The issue was adequately explained and the various options described. While the repair cost more than I hoped I would certainly use the company again.

I found ARS through Angie's List and took advantage of two coupons offered to A.L. members. Chris T. was the technician who serviced our units. He was nice and very professional. He arrived by the time promised, explained what he would be doing and quickly went about his work. When done, he carefully explained what he had done and the (minor) repair needed for one of the systems to operate properly. He showed me the damaged part (and, when asked, indicated that the same part on our other system did not require replacement, even for preventive purpose). I was completely pleased with the service provided.
