Description of Work: Hired for complete tune-up with an Angie's List coupon. There was a month-long wait to get them to come out. When they finally did, they suggested work be done (via a nearly illegible note). After talking with them on the phone we got a quote for the work. We requested an appointment well over a month ago and have followed up, but haven't heard from them. The season is over and we will have to start from scratch next year (with another company).

Description of Work: The technician came out and told us it would be about 1300 to fix our AC unit or we could purchase a new one for about 6k. While my husband and I were discussing our options he "phoned his service manager" and then informed us that their company was not willing to work on our unit so according to them our only option was to purchase a new one. The next day we had another company fix the unit for 165.

Description of Work: Called ARS to make an appointment for the Tune Up and I also needed them to repair power to the unit. They said they would first have to fix the problem and another appointment would have to made for the tune up. Appointment was made for 9/4/15 to fix the problem. Meanwhile, my husband found a local Company for less money to come out and look at the problem. I called ARS on 9/2/15 @ 2:51 and Cancelled the service call. (it's in my phone). My husband was home for the SP on Friday. ARS came to our door, Husband thought it was the people he called (Repairman didn't say he was from ARS), SP diagnosed problem to be wires outside chewed by mice. Estimate of $149 to repair the wires on top of the $135 to diagnose. Husband said "I can repair that myself". SP leaves and the other SP arrives. My husband then realize what happened. He called ARS and said "my wife cancelled this service call" they told him no cancellation was made which is entirely false. Husband fixed wires, still not working. He had to call the local SP back to repair the transformer. I'm giving this Company an F because I feel they were careless in communication within their company and poor diagnostic. They only partially diagnosed the problem. They caused us a very costly and frustrating experience. Would NEVER recommend this Company to anyone.

Description of Work: Great service! The technician arrived within the time window I was given when I made the appointment, and he called when he was about 10 minutes away to give us the head's up. When he arrived he immediately identified an issue we'd been having with our furnace and had the replacement part already in his car and replaced it for a reasonable price. Very nice and not pushy at all. If I have furnace trouble in the future I will definitely be calling ARS.
