Olympia Moving & Storage

We are given an initial estimate which was fair and comparable to other moving companies. They arrived on time 9:30AM and began to pack. They finished at 8:00PM and presented us with an invoice for MORE THAN DOUBLE the original estimate. They "claimed" that the initial estimate was wrong. After two weeks of arguing regarding the invoice, we agreed to pay an additional amount from the initial estimate. They stored our household goods for 30 days and when they were called to bring the items to our new home, the estimate again was higher. However, we agreed to pay the amount. As they moved in our leather furniture, they tore it in two places, they broke a lamp and other items AND our kitchen flatware and knives were missing along with other items. We filed a claim and they wanted to send us a check for $210.00 to cover everything! We are VERY disappointed in the way Olympia moving treated us. I would never recommend them to anyone.

These guys were incredible. From punctuality to professionalism, our experience was amazing. We had some issues with the delay of our home in Philadelphia and they work with us. We couldn't have been more pleased. These guys worked hard and still smiled through it.

I contacted Olympia. They assigned a coordinator who kept in contact with me in the weeks leading up to and throughout the day of the move. The crew was professional, punctual and the move was a success. Nothing damaged, items placed where we needed them and they took every precaution to protect the moved goods as well as the house we left and the one we were moving in to. Finally, there price quote was more than competitive and the final cost was right on the nose. I will recommend them highly whenever I have the opportunity to do so.

Our coordinator at Olympia Moving & Storage, Amy, was outstanding. She communicated the whole process with us from quote to arrival of goods; everything was done professionally and effectively. This was a big move for us - entire family, 4br house from one state to another, and she made sure that everything went smoothly from start to finish. She arranged for an estimate to be done at our house first, packers to pack any additional items (dishes, mirrors, large breakables), and then coordinated the move with our driver, Marcel, who was fantastic. The movers were prompt and worked hard to complete the move within our requested timeline.

Very well considering... I was very impressed with the moving crew. Given not ideal circumstances- extreme heat, the amount of work to be done, the building not reserving the elevator initially, not being able to park in the loading area and getting a ticket... They arrived the next day and were very courteous and hard working. They also took disposal/donation items which made the move much easier on our part and having to only hire one company.

Olympia provided excellent service from start to finish, from the initial quote, pre-move questions, and actual move. The moving team was punctual and efficient; they were easy to work with and did a great job moving all of our things safely and faster than predicted.

I was very pleased with their service. The team was very professional and efficient. Everyone from the office to the men loading and unloading the truck show great professionalism and care for our belongings.

If there's a rating above Excellent, the crew deserves it. They worked so hard, and so fast. I can't believe how strong they are!!!! They lifted heavy furniture as if it was a feather. They took great pride in their work and showed great respect to us and our home. When the move was scheduled I had anticipated to bring many things to the house prior to move day to lessen the load of the day. Contractors delayed us moving our items on our own so there was almost 2x more to move on move day. With all that's going on, I forgot to call Olympia to increase the scope of work. The crew had expected to move less, but took it in stride and never complained. We worked together to make it work. They were so respectful, and although they had 2x more work to do, they were calming me down when they saw how stressed and guilty I was for not updating the scope. They are extremely professional, and true gentlemen. It was an honor to do business with you!

The salesman I dealt with would not return my phone calls or e-mails. That was frustrating. However he did set me up with the most amazing moving van driver in America, Ian. I have moved long distances three times in the past two and a half years so I know the moving van driver is the key to a successful, organized move. Ian communicated with me a couple days before the move confirming EXACTLY when he would arrive at my home. He discussed with me when the BEST time for ME would be to deliver the furniture and boxes in my townhouse in Virginia. Ian arranged for the packer, Constantine, to assist him in loading up the van and packing some of my breakables, which all arrived intact! Olympia has a wonderful system of labels they provide for use in the items that you pack on your own. I packed most of my items and used those labels. That streamlined my process even more, especially in the unpacking stage. The arrival of my items at the new home was as successful as the packing process. Again Ian arranged for a capable, kind, polite young man to assist in the unpacking. I was downsizing considerably so had quite a few items to be stored in the attic. Ian and his assistant put everyone of those boxes, a rocking horse, doll house, Christmas trees etc. in the attic and placed it as directed by me!!! They would have unpacked my kitchen for me if I had let them! I could go on forever singing the praises of Ian. I would use Olympia again in a heart beat!

Everything from initial meetings and estimates to the actual pack and move to storage was handled in a highly professional manner. They gave us packing material for the things we packed ourselves and were very careful with the items we wanted them to pack. I definitely recommend them!

Our move could not have been better. Dan Sheehan visited our home to see what we wanted moved and our Move Coordinator, Pat White were fantastic. If I needed to call them with any concern they both responded quickly and provided me with answers to my questions. They followed up by phone and emails to make sure everything was going smoothly, as we had several delays due to the builders schedules changing and then affecting our move date.

I cannot rate this company and their employees highly enough. From start to finish, they were kind, impeccable communicators and provided service above and beyond. It is so nerve wracking to have your things moved and stored while you figure out where you are going to live..that was my situation. Two awesome awesome men showed up at my door at the exact time scheduled. They were incredibly clean cut, friendly, professional, fast, careful and courteous to a fault. This is what I wrote on their website: LOVELY!!!!! So kind, courteous, professional...incredibly wonderful experience. Can't recommend more highly! I truly can't say enough positive things. I was very concerned about the care of my things, and after meeting the movers and watching them work I was completely confident and all anxiety alleviated. I have just scheduled move of things from storage to new home. The terrific person I was dealing with: Mac, assured me that he would have the same two people on my final move. How awesome is that? We were so pleased with the whole transaction of the move. Everything from the customer service of setting up the move, what was required, etc. to moving day was fantastic. We have heard horror stories, not to mention had less then desirable experiences in the past but this move was nothing but positive. A move in general is stressful because valuables, etc are in the possession of somebody else but everybody was professional, efficient and would highly recommend them to anybody!

It went like clock work! The two movers that came didn't waste anytime they were in and out in no time and believe me my daughter had plenty to move

Moving is extremely stressful and your team took out all the stress and made it easy to transition from one home to the next. They mean business when they come in and they move lightening fast. There isn't obstacle, anything too big, anything too heavy that will slow them down. I was amazed at how quick they completed moving me out of a 2400 square foot house. It was under 2 hours! Great team, very professional, friendly, and funny! They were absolutely amazing. Ioana is also an amazing coordinator. When it comes to selling and buying a home things can change at the last minute. That was what happened to me and it was no problem pushing my moving date back 4 days and storing my belongings for 4 days. They were in both locations early and ready to go! I am grateful for all the work and coordination that made my moving experience so easy. Olympia is hands down the best company I have ever used to move. This was my second sale and my third house purchase and I only wish I had them on my other two moves!! As they say....you get what you pay for!! Thank you Olympia Team!!

Ben was very professional and willing to help me with all aspects of relocating belongings. He was resourceful and knowledgeable, working out a shipping route that saved thousands of dollars. The coordinators, Melissa and Candy, were also very helpful, top-knot have customer service. The movers were uniformed, worked tirelessly and carefully. Great professionalism all around!

From the initial inquiry and the within the hour call to the resolution of a small problem, this company's focus on customer service was apparent and impressive. Made a scary experience painless. Highly recommend.

It went smoothly. The people showed up on time and they worked all day for me and got me where I needed to go. The only thing I would say is that the estimate they gave me was not very accurate.
