IMG Painting

We had a great experience with Hratch and his employees. His original cost estimate was the lowest of the three we received, and even still, he was willing to work with us to revise the scope and cost to make affordable within our budget. He was very easy to communicate with via email and phone. He and his employees were very friendly and professional, and tried to be as inobtrusive as possible while working at our house. The work was completed in the amount of time he estimated (3.5 days) and they took the time to make sure that that we were happy with the work and do any touch-ups that were necessary at the end. We plan to hire them again for future projects.

Hratch came half an hour later. He claimed he misunderstood the time, this is similar to what another painter who came by to give an estimate did. He was somewhat defensive about this when he came since I was not happy this was the 2nd time this had happened to me in a wekk, but I was hoping to get an estimate. After looking at everything, he also suggested some kind of repairs that no one else had mentioned and seemed pleasant, and then he never sent an estimate at all. Very disappointing.

From the first phone call, Hratch was extremely professional and helpful. He was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone and also came to the house for an accurate estimate. Our painting was straightforward, walls only, no patching, and no trim. They completed the work in one day with 5 men. We will use IMG again when we decide to paint the remainder of our home.

Hratch was extremely responsive. We were on a tight schedule trying to get some painting done before our house was listed. Hratch responded immediately to my call and came over that day to estimate. Then, he was able to fit us in, in between jobs, almost immediately. He and his team were extremely professional and did a really good job. We had a bedroom and bathroom painted. Overall, it was a very easy experience with his team. Clean up was good as well. I highly recommend IMG. Hratch provides a level of personalized service that is often missing these days from many businesses.

When we decided to paint our new construction condo, we went out and received a number of quotes. There was a huge variance in pricing ranging from less than IMG's price to more than double. Ultimately, we decided upon IMG for it's reasonable price and very responsive owner, Hratch. We initially set a timeline of 6 weeks out so that they could finish some large exterior projects before the winter came. However, our designer managed to get us a photo shoot in our condo in a week and a half's time. This was on the Friday before the Labor Day weekend. On Sunday morning, I emailed Hratch and explained the situation. He moved up the prep work for another project to Monday (Labor Day) and got that done early so that he could could send everybody to my condo on Tuesday and get all of the common areas done for the shoot. His team spent an entire day in my condo to get it ready. The shoot went smoothly thanks to our great new paint job and everybody complimented us on how nice it looked. A few weeks later, his crew returned to do touch-ups and to paint the remainder of the condo. After that was done, we got a few days to examine everything before a final hour-long visit for the remaining touch-ups. Throughout it all, Hratch and his team were punctual, professional, and did great work. Given the extenuating circumstances, he certainly could have turned down my job given that we had agreed to a timeline that later had to be revised with little notice from my end. But he pulled out all the stops to get the job done on time and to a high level of quality. I highly recommend IMG Painting.

We phoned Hratch, the owner of IMG, about three weeks before we needed the work to begin. We were buying a new house and coordinating a very complicated move out of storage and we needed to find a painter who could commit to painting on a very tight and inflexible schedule: we were closing on the house on September 8th, and we needed to be sure that all work was completed prior to our move-in date, September 15th. We interviewed a number of painters who could not commit to the dates we needed and those who could commit were providing very high estimates. We decided to phone IMG, and we had an exceptional experience from start to finish. Hratch met us at the house to give us an estimate. He was very flexible with the scheduling, again, because we didn't actually own the house at the time of the estimate. He was very thorough in his review of the home, as he walked through the various rooms. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the entire Benjamin Moore line of products, and he made really informed (and great) suggestions about various products (Aura, Natura, Ecospec) as well as the types of finish that were available. Hratch and his team have clearly done painting in a variety of types of homes, and Hratch gave really good advice about trends in color and finish. Hratch agreed to provide us with a written estimate within 48 hours, by e-mail. True to his word (as he always was), he sent the estimate. The price IMG quoted us was very fair and reasonable, and his estimate was detailed and itemized. We decided to hire him, based upon his honest presentation and the positive experiences others on Angie's List had reported. We could not have made a better decision. In my opinion, Hratch and his team completed a world-class painting job in our home. As for the work itself, the painters paid careful attention to every possible detail. The prep work was impeccable, especially on the surfaces which had been wallpapered. Apparently (as we found out once IMG began removing the wallpaper), the prior owners had hung the wallpaper without using "wallpaper prep", which means that the paper was stuck directly to the surface of the wall, and removing it was tedious and time consuming. Additionally, once the paper was removed, there was significant plastering to be done to repair the walls and ensure a smooth finish. IMG did an exceptional job attending to this issue and ensuring that the finish was smooth and flawless. The results are beautiful. Equally important to us was our experience with Hratch and his team of professionals. Hratch showed the utmost respect for our tight timetable, always making sure that he was on schedule to get the job completed in time for move in. The painting was finished ahead of schedule. Communication with Hratch throughout the job was exceptional. He was always available via his cell phone, and he made great use of e-mail to coorespond with us. Because we weren't living in the house when it was painted, we really enjoyed getting nightly updates from Hratch by e-mail, where he would report to us the progress of the job and outline the work he was planning to complete the next day. I really feel that this was above and beyond all expectations we might have had for a painter. The IMG employees did exceptional work, quickly and efficiently, and demonstrated the utmost respect for our home. The house was in immaculate condition when the job was done and the employees were very polite and respectful. I have done a number of large scale renovation projects in prior homes, and I can honestly say that I have never had a more positive experience with a contractor. I have since recommended the work of IMG Painting to several friends and I am certain that I will be calling them again in the future.

My experience with IMG Painting was excellent overall. Hratch responded promptly to my initial email query, came to my house to look over the job, provided a competitive quote in timely fashion, and came back a second time to discuss paint colors and other details of the job. Hratch contacted me to let me know when he had an opening in his schedule to do my job, and he and his crew arrived promptly at the time we agreed on. The work was done quickly and efficiently, Hratch and his crew were friendly and professional, and the the quality of the finished work was excellent. The crew worked neatly and with minimal disruption to my belongings, they made sure to protect my floors and furniture carefully, and they cleaned up very well when they were done. During the process, I was especially grateful for Hratch's patient advice about paint colors (it was difficult for me to make decisions about these) and for his money-saving suggestions about how to configure the job. We also ran into a last-minute snag trying to find new hardware that would work on my older kitchen cabinets. Hratch went out of his way to resolve this issue, travelling to several different hardware stores in an attempt to find hinges that would fit, and, when they couldn't be found, he proposed a creative solution for giving the old hinges a new look that worked wonderfully to solve the problem. Finally, Hratch included the repair of the water-damaged spots in an additional room in the job for no extra charge. My experience working with IMG Painting was positive in all ways and I would hire them again, no question! Thanks again, Hratch!

Hratch and team did a great job. Everyone was polite and professional. They did a great job and charged was seemed a reasonable price.

Hratch provided a very thorough, complete, and professional estimate. Both he and his workers were always extremely courteous, prompt, and attentive to details. I would recommend this company to anyone. The work done was excellent and Hratch and his team were a pleasure to work with. If I ever need painting done in the future I would definitely call IMG.

Hratch was extremely prompt at all aspects of the job. He came by the house a couple days after I called to quote the work and we had him start and finish within a few days after getting the quote. He and his crew did a great job on the ceiling and walls. The crack and old light fixture holes in the ceiling are completely blended so that you can't tell they were ever there. They did a good job of protecting all of our woodwork from paint and they also did a masterful job painting the windows and they trim we wanted in white. The trim was especially difficult. It required 2 coats of primer and 4 coats of the color white we chose. Hratch also used zero VOC paint like we requested. We will have them come out and do other projects for us in the future.

Interior - sanded, fixed cracks, primed and painted. In one area, he pointed out that the surface may or may not accept the paint very well due to a poor plastering job by the previous owner. When the paint bubbled as he predicted, he promptly returned, sanded, skim coated, primed and repainted the area. Exterior - made recommendations on paint vs. stain. Stained the exterior and matched existing paint on the other sides.

I contacted Hratch in a bind as to how to deal with the eye sore that was a newly installed eletrical panel in my condo. Hratch was a consummate professional from the outset. He promptly answered my call and offered to come out to see the hole in the wall. He gave me a great quote and we set up a time for him to come out to complete the work. Sure enough, he showed up as promised and had filled in the area around the wall in about an hour. He cleaned up after himself and explained that he needed to let the wall dry out before coming back to build the frame around the panel. He came back in two days and completed the frame in no time. Again, he vacuumed and cleaned up the area and took all the debris and trash out with him as he left. As I was prepping my condo for sale, I was also planning to switch out the door knobs in the unit. I asked Hratch for help with this. He disassembled the old door knob and discovered that I had purchased the wrong hardware. He took the time to describe the correct knobs to me. When I purchased the correct knobs, he graciously agreed to help install them without charging another dime for his time! I only wished that I had found out about him before contracting with someone else to paint other parts of my home. His services come at a great value and he is a real professional who treated our home with care and respect. I would recommend Hratch and IMG Painting to anyone looking for honest, quality work at a great value.

I was very pleased with the overall experience with Hratch and his team. Hratch's estimate was competitive with other estimates that I received, but I was most impressed by the level of detail in Hratch's proposal that was 2 pages long. Hratch was very responsive and punctual. He and his team were all very professional and perform high quality work. They completed the job sooner than expected without sacrificing quality. I will defintely use them again for any future painting projects that I may have.

Hratch and his crew really went above and beyond. I was making multiple updates to my house and was on a tight timeline to get it all completed before a scheduled home appraisal. IMG was not the least expensive of the estimates I got but Hratch was willing to fit me in right away, before starting another larger job he already had scheduled. Also, he came highly recommended by the mason who was working at my house at the same time. I was not disappointed. First, they powerwashed my house and allowed a few days for it to dry. Then they prepped, replacing rotted wood, filling cracks and nail holes, scraping loose paint and removing my wooden gutters. The next day they primed the entire house (trim included) with oil primer and then painted. Hratch and his crew were personable and great to work with. They arrived when they said they would, worked hard, and cleaned up after themselves everyday. I was impressed with their attention to detail and the obvious pride they took in their work. Even though the rain set us back a few days, they did what they had to in order to meet my deadline, independently coordinating with and working around a carpentar who was onsite at the same time, and working on Saturdays. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Hratch and his team have completely repainted our 8000+ sq. ft. house. They had a very strict deadline for the project completion; we had to move into our new home by the end of April. The IMG team worked long days and weekends to complete the project on time without sacrificing quality. I am happy to report that it is done, and the house looks great. They have breathed new life into our home. Throughout the project, Hratch has been a great communicator; he brought many valuable ideas to the table. He has been instrumental to our moving in on time into a finished house. The entire IMG team has been very cordial, professional and hardworking. We are very pleased with the experience of working with IMG Painting as well as the final product; the house looks beautiful. I feel confident recommending Hratch and his team to my friends and family as well as to the Angie?s List members.

Hratch is a fantastic person to deal with. I only gave a B for responsiveness because we had to go back and forth a bit to figure out scheduling. In spite of his business being very busy with another job, he was able to fit us into his schedule and performed all the work on the same day. He arrived with two employees who got to work right away, left to go to his other job site for a while, and came back to help the employees finish the job. They did beautiful, thorough work, and I was very impressed with the results and their professionalism.

This was an excellent experience. The estimate - - one of three we got for this job - - was detailed and reasonable. All of our questions were answered during the initial visit and throughout the job. The workers arrived each day right on time. The work was meticulous including a thorough cleanup at the end and the final results are lovely. Because the plaster work on old surfaces was more complicated than expected the job required more time than the original schedule. The team arrived early on the extra day, which was a Saturday, and worked right through until seven that evening. They even mopped the floors as part of the cleanup of plaster dust. We will hire IMG again and certainly recommend them highly.

Overall, our experience with IMG was great. I had three companies come to look at the house when we were still wrapping up our renovation. The first man who came was very young and seemingly inexperienced yet quite pretentious. He actually left our house after looking and said he didn't think he could help us. When Hratch from IMG walked in my door, I immediately felt comfortable. He had a calm and capable demeanor.He was not intimididated at all by our unfinished space. It was evident from the start that Hratch had experience and that he was confident in his crew. Hratch listened and got it when I explained what we wanted, from the first meeting until the last day. Before the job began we received a very detailed estimate of what would be done and the cost. On the job, the crew paid great attention to every detail. Nothing was missed. They stayed focused on the job. All of the crew members were mature, polite, and respectful of us and our home. They were not a disturbance while I did some work from home. High quality materials and paints were used. Hratch and crew did not skimp on anything. The crew was neat about their work and left no mess behind. They put in the hours to get the job done right and we were very impressed and happy with their work. We will definitely hire IMG again and recommend the company to our friends and family.

The crew was able to finish the job quickly and neatly. They were on time starting and finishing. The paint job looks great; very even with no bleed through. The lines between the ceiling, wall and trim colors are very straight. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the results.

They scraped the ceiling in the whole house, repaired the plaster, and painted the ceiling and some walls. They were very good, and they did an excellent job. They knew what they were doing. It is an old house and they needed to be careful about what they did. They seemed to know all the tricks of how to handle an old house while repainting it. The follow up was really great and the price was good. I am all around very happy with them and would use them in the future, if necessary.

I called Hratch to get an estimate and he came out to discuss the work we wanted done. He then sent me a clear, detailed estimate which was very reasonable. We settled on a date and Hratch and his crew arrived on time to start the job. They were all very professional and extremely efficient. They took great care to protect the rugs and furniture. They were here for three full days and cleaned up completely at the end of each day. They did a beautiful job, the walls look perfect, I am amazed that they came out so well considering the condition they were in when we removed the wallpaper. The painting of the wood is really excellent and makes the whole area look so much better. Overall I could not be happier with the whole expierience and I definately plan to call IMG Painting when it comes time for my next project. I would recommend IMG Painting to anyone who needs an excellent painter.

They were very professional and pleasant to work with. The quote that he provided was extremely comprehensive and professionally typed up. He did not charge for the estimate. The price is why I did not go with them.

Our overall experience was excellent. Mr. Iseknderian went out of his way to provide us with excellent work and value. During the planning of our work, he made suggestions which saved us money. During the execution of the work, he was extremely conscientious and thorough. The few times minor problems arose, he addressed them immediately. He, his brother, and his crew did very good work, and often went the extra mile to help on small projects, such as installing an interior door and shelves.
