I had already pruchased the converter but had difficulty installing it myself. The repairman came on short notice and showed me how to operate with the new converter. He spent time being certain that I understood the operation. He also demonstrated the advantage to a "rabbit ears" antenna and explained what type I might need. He was efficient and patient with my lack of technical knowledge.

My fairly new Samsung 40" LCD (little over one year old) started shutting itself on and off and I could not fix it with any of the Samsung manual troubleshooting. The problem got worse over time (to the point where the tv was rendered useless). After reviewing Belmont TV on this website, I felt compelled to give them a shot and see if the tv was fixable and if so, how much. I took it into the shop on a Saturday morning and his son told me Art would get back to me in two days to tell me the diagnosis. I hadn't heard from him two days later, so I gave them a call. He said they still needed to figure out what was wrong with it and he would call me within the next couple of days to let me know. Even though I had called him after two days, I didn't take this as a sign of poor workmanship. I am happy he waited to call me when he knew what the problem was. He called a couple days later, at 830 on a Friday night, I was surprised he was working so late and didn't mind the call. He said he had found the problem and if I wanted to fix it, it would be $300 (includes the $45 diagnosis fee, will be applied towards their work, if you choose to have them fix the tv) and it would be ready the next day. I told him to go ahead and fix the tv, and I would pick it up the following Saturday due to my schedule. When I went to pick up the tv, I met Art and he explained the problem as best he could to my uneducated appliance ears, and helped me load the tv into my car. He was very nice, trustworthy, and I believe he runs an honest family owned business. He seems to know what he is talking about and I would definitely take a tv there again if I had to. After spending $1200 on the tv originally, another $300 to have it back to normal was ok for me. I probably won't buy another Samsung, but I would definitely recommend Art and Belmont TV!!!

The manager himself came, because his other service technicians were unavailable. He was very good and installed everything. He explained how the controls worked for the remote and even repaired my antenna. He checked out how well the reception was before he left. The price was very reasonable. He was punctual and did a good job.

The service was prompt, friendly and quick.

The person I spoke with was very helpful over the phone, assessing that a repair was likely possible, and offering convenient times for the repair. I was somewhat surprised (pleasantly) to get a person on the phone because I was calling in the evening. I didn't wind up using him because I didn't realize that he only does TV repairs at the customer's house - I had already lugged my very heavy TV to the back of my car in hopes of repairing and selling it, and I was too lazy to haul it back upstairs. Otherwise I definitely would have hired him.

DIAGNOSED PROBLEM OVER THE PHONE. CAME ON TIME AND CHARGED EXACTLY WHAT HE TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE. VERY PROFESSIONAL.

I WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED AND WOULD DEFINITELY USE BELMONT TV AGAIN. BELMONT TV SHOWED UP ON TIME AND FIXED THE PROBLEM IN NO TIME AT ALL. THEY EVEN ADJUSTED MY TV TO GET THE BEST PICTURE POSSIBLE. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT BELMONT TV.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. HE WAS OUT THE NEXT MORNING, AND THE PRICE WAS WHAT HE QUOTED.

CAME THE SAME DAY , DID EXCELLENT WORK. COURTEOUS, EVEN AGREED TO HELP ME SOLDER ANOTHER ITEM. WAS VERY THOROUGH AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME.

THEY SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY DIAGNOSED MY PROBLEM OVER THE PHONE AS SOON AS I TOLD THEM THE MODEL NUMBER AND BEFORE I TOLD THEM THE SYMPTOMS. THEY ACTUALLY SUMMARIZED THE SYMPTOMS FOR ME FIRST. THEY AGREED TO COME TO MY HOUSE DURING A ONE HOUR TIME WINDOW AND FIX (THE RATHER LARGE) TV IN PLACE, SHOWED UP ROUGHLY ON TIME WITH A SOLDERING GUN AND THE APPROPRIATE REPLACEMENT PARTS (A VOLTAGE REGULATOR, AN OSCILLATOR, AND A CAPACITOR), TOOK OUT THE ELECTRONICS BOARD WITH THE BLOWN PARTS AND REPLACED THEM IN ABOUT 1/2 HOUR. THEY SEEMED KNOWLEDGEABLE, EFFICIENT AND RELIABLE. THEIR WORK COMES WITH A 60 DAY WARRANTY.

PERFORMED IN-HOME SERVICE WITHOUT QUESTION. SERVICE COMPLETED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE REQUEST AND DURING THE MORE CONVENIENT EARLY EVENING HOURS.A SENSE OF HUMOR GOES A LONG WAY. I DIDN'T APPROACH THE NEED FOR SERVICE WITH ANY HOSTILITY. THE OWNER/SERVICER HAS A PLAYFUL SENSE OF HUMOR THAT MADE BEING WITHOUT TV SERVICE FOR A FEW DAYS BEARABLE. BELMONT TV IS WILLING TO NEGOTIATE FOR AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS WITHIN REASON.

THE GUY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEMS, AND GAVE AN EXACT ESTIMATE FOR THE COST OF REPAIR OVER THE TELEPHONE. HE MAKES HOUSE CALLS, MAKES REPAIRS, IS CLEAN AND POLITE. HE DECLINES WORK IF HE FEELS IT IS NOT WORTH THE COST. HE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE, HONEST AND COMPETENT.

THEY WERE VERY PROMPT BUT THE FOLLOW THROUGH WAS VERY POOR.
