Great job by Wes. Our job started as re-grouting bathtub/shower and some other tile repairs. When we started the bathtub project, we found that the entire tile work was failing and falling off and needed to be replaced. Once we removed the old tile we saw how poorly the original work had been done!. We replaced all of the wallboard and put in new tile. An excellent job. We also replaced a bunch of cracked tiles in our kitchen floor. Overall Wes did a great job, would use him again for any tile work or repairs needed.

He told me that all of his jobs would cost at least $500-$800, even though I see on Angie's List there are other members who had projects done for less than that amount. The customer service was poor and so was his attitude.

I reached out to S&W tile and happened to get Wes on the phone immediately. He asked what type of work needed to be completed/looked at and he immediately indicated he could come take a look at a time that was convenient for me (which happened to be a couple of days later). When he came out, I started out by showing him the broken tiles in the master bathroom. Given that the tiles are discontinued, he explained to me a handful of options and the pros/cons for each. We agreed that he would do a "temporary" repair so that we could continue using the master bath. Wes did the work immediately. I then showed him the other 2 "jobs" and he offered to take care of them on the spot. Wes is a very nice guy and seems to know what he's doing.

Great experience with Wes, tiling a small bathroom that had the floor taken down to plywood following a bathroom flood. When Wes came out for the estimate he was extremely helpful with advice on tile, the best options, and how to get the job done at different price levels. His pictures were helpful in envisioning tile options as well as in seeing the quality of his work. Wes was easy to get in touch with when we had questions beforehand, including when we had a tile glitch caused by Lowes. When the holiday weekend made it difficult to get a plumber in for the toilet takeout and install, Wes did it himself (with only one bathroom, having a working toiet was important). Install was exellent, with attention to detail throughout. Wes nailed down the plywood as needed, then put down a 1/2 inch backer board for stability and to help level our old unlevel floor. Tile looks great. Good cleanup. Already recommended Wes (S & W Tile) to my sister.

I selected two tile samples - one for the kitchen and another for the bathroom. Wes thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done including exactly how much tile I needed to buy for each project. All I had to do was let him know when the tile arrived. He scheduled the removal of the dishwasher, stove and refrigerator from the kitchen and the sink and toilet from the bathroom. The tile was installed within a couple of days. The floors look terrific. He did a great job for exactly the amount he quoted. He was always on time and always willing to answer any of my questions. I would definitely hire him again!

I have been plagued by water damage around a poorly designed window ledge in a shower. The bathroom will need to be completely refinished but I was looking for a temporary fix to avoid further damage and repair the tiles which had fallen away from the ledge. I knew I'd have trouble finding someone to fix the problem since it was a small job. After I called a large tiling firm in East Boston and was told over the phone that the fix was easy and entailed placing a marble slab on the sill, the very informed person at the firm never called me back again nor responded to my emails requesting a start time for the job. I found Wes via Angie's list and when I described the problem, his solution (without knowing I had spoke to the other gentleman) was exactly the same. The difference is that Wes provided me with a rough cost estimate over the phone and set up a time to meet me at the apartment the next day to review the job. Not only did he show up, but he was early and waiting for me when I arrived! A rare and admirable trait. He reviewed the tile problem, concluded that the estimate was accurate and agreed to fix the problem the very next morning. Within 2 hours of arriving the following morning, he was cleaning up and out the door, leaving behind a skillfully repaired window ledge. I highly recommend Wes and will most certainly rely on him for future tile issues. My only fear is that as he gets more business, he'll be harder to book!

This is a small bathroom and the only one in a rental apt. I have been dealing with leaking for 6 years. I myself, restuck tiles that were loose with mastic and grout in 2005. Last Sept. just as some new tenants moved in, the leaking started again. A plumber evaluated the situation and told me that without a doubt, a tremendous amount of water was leaking through the grout. A nephew of a friend, who tiles for a building maintence company in the Boston area said he had a machine to take out the grout and then he could regrout. They came in and did the job quickly. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because 9 months later, the leaking returned. I didn't bother to call the former man, but instead joined Angie's list. Wes lived up to the praise in his reviews. He did not wish to look at the job because he thought he could give me an estimate without coming to see it, but I felt it was complicated and also wanted to meet him and show him the work. He came as soon as I could meet with him. He also is almost always available by cell. He calls back quickly. He was flexible with his schedule, but always honest about first come first serve. He's a very good communicator (sometimes repeats himself), We needed to be open to the possibility of wood rot since the leak had been going on for years. I was nervous that he did not have the skills to repair the studds, and he said if he thought it was beyond him he would call in a carpenter. He gave me a supply list and told me exactly where to go. He also knew to warn me that I might not be able to match the size of the original tile, so the new tiles might not line up with the old tiles. (which is the case) He and his partner finished the job in one day so my tenants would be the least amount of time without a shower. I was working in the yard and he called me in at each stage. I could go on and on with the story, but I think both his communication and his skill are his strong points. There was no rot and he only needed to repair the lower half of the two shower walls, but he had prepared me for different possibilities and we had all the materials on hand, which I was able to return. They cleaned up all the dust. The entire transaction proceeded as expected. He had time to do extra work on the floor for the price he had quoted me. I am please with Wes and would unequivocably recommend him and use him for future work. I am also impressed and thankful for Angies list and plan to use it in the future.

First, I have to say that I was impressed with the honest and forthright assessment of the work we needed to get done and the pragmatic (and budget conscious) series of recommendations we received. We needed the tile in our shower are re-grouted and the bathtub resealed. I asked if the re-grouting would really make a difference or we should remove all the tile and replace with new. In a situation that would have resulted in more income to S&W, they advised that the repair would make the shower and tub look brand new. That was indeed the case. The shower and tub look terrific. Next, tile behind or kitchen sink fell off due to water infiltration. S&W replaced the rotted board behind the tile, installed the same tiles as we didn't have replacements and applied caulk over all of the kitchen tiles. It turned out great. Last, we had a new vanity installed in our half bath and needed to tile the area around the sink. S&W recommended a subway tile and the job they did was top notch. They were very professional and very clean! I recommend them unreservedly.

For my new sunroom, I contacted S & W Tile to get an estimate. The contractor that built the room had also contacted the company he usually uses. Wes came out to give me an estimate within 24 hours calling him and said he could do the job that same week. The other company said they couldn't even come out for an estimate for about a week. The obvious choice was to go with Wes since he was prompt, efficient, and cost effective. I had no idea what I wanted for tile, so Wes went with me and my 2 kids (ages 6 and 4) to a few locations to pick out tile. This room was going to be my "sanctuary" so I was very picky on what I wanted. Wes was extremely patient and knowledgeable and took the time to help me pick out exactly what I wanted and what was within my budget. As promised, he was back the next day to prep the new floor since it was installed over a deck and back over the next few days to install the tile, grout, and threshhold. The entire job from initial call to completed work took a week. The floor came out amazing! About a year later I noticed my kitchen tile cracking so I immediately called Wes again since he had remained in contact with me every couple of months to make sure I was having not problems with my sunroom floor. This time, he came out that day to estimate the work that needed to be done. He took out a tile that was cracked and noticed that the sub-flooring was a mess. He immediately called his partner and returned the next day to begin demolition. While Sylvester did the demolition, Wes went with me again to pick out tile. Both of them were extremely polite, courteous and professional. I had no problem leaving either of them in my home while I was not there. The floor was completely replaced and new tile put down all within a week, including the attached bathroom. Wes worked quickly and efficiently so that my life wasn't disrupted too much. He was very meticulous about his work and cleaned the entire area completely each night before leaving. My budget was limited and Wes worked within what I could afford and within my time frame. And he still checks in every so often to make sure there are no problems. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone that needs tile work done.

Wow!!!! Is all I can say about my service with Wes. He was incredible from day one with his very quick response to my inquire for putting down a tile floor in my newly renovated kitchen. He replied with in minutes and was very pleasant. I was in a bit of a rush to get my floors down due to early delivery of new cabinets. Wes came out the next morning @ 7:30am for an estimate, actullay he was a few minutes early (which you don't find in people anymore) he took his meausurements, we discuss what needed to be done and he gave me a good price. He was there the next morning at same time to lay down the tiles and finished the next day with the grout. Wes was great to work with, very freindly, honest and did a great job. He is also always available for questions via phone or email anytime I needed to ask him anything. I am going to use him in the near future for a bathroom we are going to renovate because I can't imaigine calling anyone else out to do my tile work other than Wes. I have already referred him to a few people I know.

Great. Wes is responsive, professional and attentive. From the time I first called him to the time it took him to come to my house, give me an estimate and do the job it was less than 3 days. The job itself took a few hours and he was flexible to my inflexible schedule and started at 7 am, which I really appreciated. The job itself required creativity to overcome an annoying problem of poor shower design and he did a great job with that.. I also appreciated his honesty and that I was sure I was getting my money's worth. He's an honest guy that cares about doing his job well, and honestly, you can't ask for much else! If you need someone to repair your tiles, Wes is the guy.

So I will never have to search for a tile guy again. Wes is it. If you need tile work done, or floor leveling, or grout or whatever, go with Wes at S&W tile. My wife was gone for a week. I ripped up the kitchen tile that I put in that was badly in need of repair. I had installed the floor a few years ago, didn't know what I was doing, and now it was in bad shape. I was just calling around to find someone who could come out and estimate it - thinking hopefully that someone could make it within the next few weeks. Wes met me at my house within 3 hours of contacting him, and he was there 2 days later (on a Saturday!) pouring the self-leveling compound to fix the problems I did to the floor. Not only did he meet me instantly, but he worked on a weekend to meet my schedule. Unbelievable. He would have had the finished floor done sooner too - the only holdup was the delivery of my new tile from the supplier. I called him the night I picked it up, and he was installing it 36 hours later. Grout went in the next day. He took a bad, multi-planed floor and smoothed it out and made it look great. So nice when you find a guy who does what he says he'll do, faster than you think he'll do it, and a guy who takes a ton of pride in his work. The new floor looks beautiful. I recommend him without reservation.

From start to finish, Wes was extremely professional, friendly, and honest. I chose him over several other tile installers, because he was very responsive to my calls, and sounded both friendly and competent over the phone when he gave me his estimate. He was able to come within two days, finished the tiling in less than 2 days, and just did a fantastic job. We have an old house and there were a few complicated spots, where the tiles needed to be carefully cut/placed and the end result is just beautiful. We are very happy with S&W Tile and definitely would recommend him to any friend or family needing these services!!

The contractor was a homeowner's dream. A polite and personable professional who was on time for the estimate and for the job. The work was done competently, cleanly, and neatly. A small job, yes, but well done and completed promptly. My only role was to write the check and enjoy the outcome of the job.

I've been an Angies List member for quite a few years now, and this the first review I've written. After such a positive experience I actually felt guilty about not writing one.........it would be a sin to not steer people towards these guys. The building of our home was a challenge overall, and throughout the process my wife kept asking me "Why can't all of the subcontractors be like Wes?". Great price, outstanding attention to detail, and on top of it all he finished the job ahead of schedule. We didn't have running water or electricity in the home at the time, and never heard a peep of a complaint from him. Wes just puts his head down and gets the job done, done right, done at a great price, and done early. Truly refreshing.

Actions speak louder than words, and I'm again very pleased with my bathroom tile. I'll be sure to call S&W again as my tiling needs arise.

They arrived at the beginning of a recent snow storm and completed the work in about 4 hours. They were professional, easy to work with and did a nice job.

After having the experience of one contractor setting up a time and not showing up and not returning phone calls and another who sounded like it might be an all day job, I looked on Angie's List and found S&N Tile. Wes was great, explained the job, did the job and cleaned up well!

I called Wes on a Friday afternoon and he came over in 30 minutes to give me an estimate. He then came back the next week and completed the job in one day. I purchased the tile and grout myself from Lowes for about $300, and Wes did the installation.

It went great. Wes was punctual and professional. He was fairly price and did his best to save me money on the project without compromsing the finished product. The job had been on my to do list for a long time and dealing with Wes made it much easier than I had expected.

Wes was great. He came out the same day to give me an estimate on the project. He arrived on time and completed the project in a timely manor. The kitchen looks great. Wes even came back to fix up some tile work that the microwave installers tore out for no additional cost. Would recommend Wes and use him for tile projects in the future.

Wes was easy to work with, I'd recommend him for tile jobs in the future. He was able to start on time, finish on time, kept a clean work site, and was within budget. We were very pleased.
