We were very happy with the whole experience.

Wes and his crew are awesome. You get what you pay for with these guys . They never skip a beat, from layouts, design, and execution. We were extremely happy with the whole process. We only hope more companies we find on Angieslist are like S&W Tile.

Our 43 year old mozaic ceramic tile began to give us crackling noise when we walked on it. We specifically joined Angie's List in order to find a professional tile man, to see what out options were. Having perused a number of reviews, we noted that S + W had many outstanding recommendations. Now we know why. Wes met us on the very day we called him, and spent a good amount of time explaining that the bond between the tile and substrate had begun to fail. He explained how much it would cost to remove the existing floor, as well as to install a new floor. He also said that depending on what we might find after removal, there might be additional work required. We set up a date for the work to be done, and Wes hit the nail on the head. It was nothing more complicated than the bond between the 43 year old tile and substrate, and the new floor looks great! So yes, if you want a great tile contractor, who is talented, honest and fair, give Wes a call.

Wes did an excellent job. We were extremely impressed by his responsiveness -- he returned our call immediately and then scheduled the estimate and actual work within just a few days. It had been difficult for us to find someone who could perform a small job like ours so quickly. Further, Wes explained his work and rationale and was very patient with us, answering all our questions. On the job day, Wes showed up on time and worked quickly and skillfully, delivering high quality results. Overall, we were extremely pleased with S&W Tile and would definitely use them again (and recommend them to others).

Wes from S&W tile responded to my initial phone call promptly, and, since he was in the area, actually came out to give me a quote the same day. He advised me that the backsplash didn't need as much work as I had anticipated, and gave me a verbal quote. He later emailed us a written quote. We provided a deposit to secure an install date. On the day of installation, he was responsive, extremely professional & knowledgeable, and was flexible with our toddler in the house - stepping over baby gates and making sure doors were closed behind him. His work is very good and the backsplash looks great. We would most certainly hire him again.

It went fine. Considering other work we have had done, they were pretty expensive for just a few hours of work. The guy was very nice and competent.

Wes arrived promptly, reviewed again in detail how the work would proceed and gave me a time estimate of how long he expected the job to take. He completed the work with no problems ahead of schedule and reviewed the work with me again when he was done to make sure that I was happy with the results. Everything looked great and it has held up well more than a month after work was completed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend S&W tile to anyone who needed grout/tile work done and I would use them again myself.

Our master bedroom shower stall was leaking to the floor below. We consulted a plumber, and he recommended that we approach the problem through a tile person. We chose S&W Tile through Angie's list. Wes of S&W Tile recommended that we seal/waterproof the bottom of the stall and place a new layer of tile over the seal. We agreed, even though he was unable to guarantee that this would work, thought he had substantial confidence that it would--especially since the alternative -- replacing the 1923 stall -- would be very expensive. Wes asked us to do some cleaning in preparation for his work. He showed up on time, and finished the work that day. The work was careful, attractive, and effective -- and the leak has not reappeared.

We chose S&W Tile based upon the outstanding ratings and reviews on Angie's list and we are glad we did. My wife and I decided to remodel the bathroom on Wednesday and I called Wes on Thursday. He returned my call within 15 minutes and scheduled an estimate on Friday. Wes arrived promptly on time and it became clear immediately that he was a stickler for detail. Wes had excellent thoughts about the project and helped my wife design her dream bathroom. Wes scheduled another appointment with us later that night so that his team (Sylvester) and subcontracting plumber (Jeff Ryan) could weigh in on the plan. As it turns out, Wes was leaving for a vacation out of the country with his family, but stopped by again on Saturday just to make sure that the plan, materials and fixtures were all in order. Demolition of the bathroom began the next Monday and Jeff and Sylvester worked in perfect coordination to re-plumb the tub, toilet and sink, while installing new cement board and fabricating a new shower stall. Sylvester and crew then worked straight through the weekend until the following Tuesday (8 consecutive days total) to install the marble floor and wall tiles. Precision was the word...laser levels, 1/64" spacers, straight grout lines, precision tile cuts everywhere. All the while, Wes was calling in each day from his vacation to make sure things were going well. Sylvester was in constant communication with my wife to ask her preference about everything from the type of joints she wanted at the corners to the angle of the cut in the chair rail where it intersected the window frames. The end result is a work of art and my wife could not be happier. I would absolutely hire Wes and his crew for another project.

Wes was very responsive from my initial call throughout the project. I emailed him a question occasionally (on tile, timing, etc.), and I learned to expect a phone call from him within 5 or 10 minutes of hitting "send." His evaluation of the jobs was thorough, straightforward, and clear, and we hired S&W. Surprise! We then ran into delays of the arrival of the tile, which had impacts not only on Wes and Sylvester's scheduling, but on the subsequent installation of a fireplace insert and town inspection. Wes was very accommodating around the rescheduling, and he and Sylvester were painstaking in understanding the (crazy and highly specific) pattern I'd created for the sill install. The jobs went efficiently and yielded great outcomes. They are terrific folks we were happy to have working in our house, and we're very pleased with the outcome. Though the S&W estimate (and ultimate cost for the jobs) was higher than some quoted by others we contacted, we chose to go with them on the strength of their responsiveness, professionalism, and "real people" natures. Glad we did.

We chose S&W tile based on reviews here on Angie's list and are very glad we did. Wes came to look at the bathroom within 24 hours of our initial phone call and helped us bounce some ideas around. We found him very friendly and professional and were very at-ease with letting him do work in our home. With clear and simple terms Wes was able to articulate what was needed to be done and his role in the process. In the following weeks of our initial visit, as other aspects of the bathroom remodel took place, Wes was always available to answer a quick question or two over the phone or email. We were initially planning on using porcelain floor tile but then decided to go with a marble tile and, again, Wes was very clear about how this would effect his initial estimate and some other physical aspects of the job. He was also extremely patient with us as we waited for all the tile to arrive. When we had all materials on site, Wes came within two days to do the installation. He went straight to work and completed what may take others 3-4 days, inside a day and a half. He did a beautiful job! (I wish I could post pics on Angie's List). Because of Wes' attention to detail, hard work-ethic, and professionalism, I would not hesitate to call him again for another tiling job.

The process was a marvel of responsiveness and on time delivery of services. I would not hesitate to call upon them for a larger job.

Wes at S&W Tile was fantastic. I left an initial voicemail with him on a Friday morning, and he called me back within 45 minutes. We arranged for him to meet me at my house at noon on that very same day. He came and gave a full explanation of our tile situation (substantial leaking from our shower on the third floor to the bedroom below it on the second floor). He explained why the tile had failed, what was necessary in order to correct the situation, gave a review of various options, and gave us a detailed quote. We signed a work order with him on the spot and he came with his crew eight days later to start and complete the work - on the same day. He and his team were professional, highly competent, friendly, and they listened to all of our thoughts and concerns. They did an exceptional job with the tile installation - there are no leaks anymore. The job was completed in one day, and only eight days elapsed from our initial contact to the job being done. This is the company to engage for any tiling job in your house. Do not waste time with any other company or contractor. They will get the job done at a fair price, and are very accommodating and respectful.

Wes was very quick in responding to my initial inquiry. He called back almost immediately to discuss the issues and he asked me to email him some pics of my showers/tubs. He then was able to email me a quote/estimate shortly thereafter. We scheduled the job for the following week. I truly appreciated Wes' sense of urgency to complete this for me before the holidays. He showed up on or before the appt, not sure which, since I was running a bit behind and my children and grandchildren were there to let him in. He was thorough and brutally honest about conditions of my tub and showers. He explained all his observations and made some excellent suggestions for future action items. He was very efficient in doing the job that I needed done as well as being really pleasant. Wes did a great job and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I would not hesitate to call S and W Tile again.

Wes was right on time, arriving right when he said he would start. Prior to starting the work, he reviewed the tile requiring cleaing/repair and confirmed the scope of the work we discussed on the phone. He finished ahead of schedule and provided at now cost additional cleaning and repair of grout I did not specify and at now cost to me. He is extremely knowledgable and happy to share his insights. Excellent workmanship, very friendly, clean, and hard work ethic! I will definitely recommend and use Wes in the future !

Wes is great, we spoke with him over the summer then got really busy and never called him back. Our tile issue evolved into a leak we Called Wes again. He came over on a Saturday to look at the problem, gave us a quote and said he could come come back on Monday to do the job, which he did. Wes shows up exactly on time or a few minutes early and does exactly what he says he will do and a little bit more. It was a great experience working with Wes and we would absolutely work with him again.

. My family and I were victims of the 6/1/11 tornado and our house was destroyed. When the time came to rebuild we were approached by a production company on behalf of the A&E show "Disaster Guy". The premise of the show was to rebuild homes of folks who were victims of natural disasters. The show was to rebuild our home and get us back in as fast as possible. The GC of this job would be Instar Services Group. The house for the most part is great, there were punchlist items that took a bit to complete but otherwise there was nothing you wouldn't have done if the rebuild was a normal speed. On September 7 of this year my wife saw a brown spot on the kitchen cieling. I called the company and set up appointments for the next 80 days with multiple no shows. I finally had had enough and consulted Angie's list and found Wes. Wes had so many outstanding reviews and his customers were so satisfied I knew then I needed to call. I needed a tile specialist and not another handyman. Wes called me back within an hour of my message, requested the story, some photos and a chance to review before setting up a date to meet and inspect the job. Once again he called me back within the hour and we had a date setup.Wes showed up right on time and we began to discuss the scope of the job. If I had a question, Wes had an answer. It was obvious to me after a long line of sub par contractors I had finally found one who was going to do for me what he would do in his own home. Wes, Sylvester and Jessie worked friday to monday to complete this job, arriving on time everyday. Stopping only to consult me on any variations and to point out where the previous contractor failed leading to the damage. More importantly he showed me each step he and his crew had done and why it will not fail again. They were respectful of my home, neat and clean. Wes took the time to explain proper maintenance and care for my new shower. In short, while haveing any kind of demo and construction in your home is far from a pleasure, it was my pleasure having this company in mine. While the price may sound a bit higher keep in mind you get what you pay for and theres no price on piece of mind. I know that I can call Wes anytime with any questions or issues. Try finding that quality and ethic now a days.

I called and left a message for Wes asking to schedule a time for him to come out to quote a job - to redo a custom shower tile installation that was seriously screwed up by a previous installer. Wes not only called me back within a few hours, he went right over to my house straight from a root canal with his mouth still numb from the novocain. He provided me with a great deal of helpful information in how to deal with the mess I was in and also caught some other major flaws that I wasn't even aware to look for. Though I am still in the phase of receiving quotes for the job, Wes ranks very highly. And even if I do not end up going with S&W for whatever reason, I would still highly recommend them because of their great responsiveness, helpfulness, and knowledge.

Things went well. Wes was very responsive, flexible in scheduling, and arrived on time. He and his colleague were entirely professional, and did the work efficiently and expertly. The price was a little higher than I might have liked, but the quality was very high and in the end, worth the price. They were meticulous with the installation and cleaned up completely, leaving no traces . I would recommend highly to all.

Wes is punctual, very professional, and easy to work with. The results are excellent - we are thrilled with the outcome. He is a hard worker who delivers what he promises. Highly recommended.

I called Wes on a Monday morning to express concern about some damaged tile in our master bath. He asked me to email photos to him and returned my call within an hour...we made an appointment for Friday. He showed up precisely on time on Friday and, after a thorough discussion of my options, he got to work replacing one wall of tile in our stall shower. With the exception of a trip to Home Depot to buy supplies, he worked non-stop. I was impressed by his lengthy prep time and super clean work station. He predicted he'd be done by four, but was out the door at 2:40. The job looks perfect

I consulted Angie's List for a tile specialist because i wanted my old unsightly fireplace to have a facelift and I needed to have it done within a few days before a new mantle and bulletins were installed. After reading so many excellent reviews about S & W Tile, they were my first choice. I emailed late Friday night and on Saturday morning there was a response from Wes at S & W. He wanted me to send him pictures of the fireplace and the new tile. After reviewing the pictures, we went over all the different design options and he gave me an estimate range based on what I would choose. He said he could be here Monday morning! He had actually kept it as a free day, but because of the impending storm this week, thought it best to do it as soon as possible. Which I was thrilled about. Wes was very personable and a real professional, punctual and very knowledgable. When we reviewed the options and I knew what I wanted, he went right to work. He had come prepared for any scenario and worked straight through until the job was completed and was meticulous in cleaning up. He did a beautiful job and I thought the price was very fair since I had chosen the option that involved the most work and he actually charged in the middle of the estimate range quoted. i would definitely use them again and recommend S & W Tile to anyone looking for good quality work by a very skilled craftsman.

Our master bath was remodeled 3 years ago and we've been having some leaking issues. I choose S&W based on reviews and they did an excellent job. I decided to use S & W Tile based on the reviews I saw on Angie's List, and they did not disappoint! First of all, when I emailed them to inquire about having a job done by them, Wes was very quick to get back to me. He was good about asking questions as I explained what I wanted done (which to regrout tile in two bathrooms) to ascertain what I needed for a good estimate. He confirmed receipt of deposit check and sent a reminder ahead of the job to make sure everything was set to go. He arrived promptly (maybe even a few minutes early) -- the job ended up being a much bigger job than he had anticipated based on my description (I had forgotten to mention that one of the bathroom ceiling's had tile which was all mildewy - my bad), but he was very good about letting me know what he definitely could do, and what might be beyond his capacity to do, and also laid out what the potential additional cost would be. At various junctures that was a good point to stop, he made sure to check with me which route I wanted to go (to make sure that he only did what I felt I could afford to pay to do). Both bathrooms look better than when I moved into my house! He and his assistant, Sylvester, were quick/efficient, and professional. Wes also let me know how I ought to go about maintenance so that I won't ever have to do another big tile regrout job, and asked me if I had any additional questions when they were done. I recommend S & W Tile without reservation -- they're awesome and a great example of why Angie's List is such a great resource for service providers!

We had a leak from our upstairs bathroom into the kitchen. The cause was unclear, but Wes reasoned that it had to be from the tiling around the tub because of the amount of water rather than the floor, which we had previously thought. We were initially unconvinced, but Wes carefully explained his reasoning and what needed to be done. After a lot of heming and hawing, we finally went ahead. Wes did a fantastic job and his theory proved to be correct. He is extremely personable and knowledgable, punctual and meticulous. We would definitely use him again.
