Denis came to my home on time. He replaced a part on the faucet in the kitchen explaining which part(s) can get worn. I found this very interesting. He then replaced my outside water spickets. I have had no issues with any of his work and would recommend him.

Denis expertly installed our new gas drier. I asked that he mount the drier on concrete blocks, in case of future basement flooding, and he did. It was a relief to see that he did a great job and even cleaned up afterward.

Denis did an excellent job for us. Professional and courteous. And thanks to his expert work the faucet has performed beautifully. We called Denis again for future work later in the year. I'd recommend him very highly for any plumbing job.

I am not happy with him. He was supposed to connect a downdraft in my new stove; my stove has a grill and a fan that pulls air from the grill down and out. He had never done it before and it took him four hours. He charged me $491. It was clear that he was learning on the job and I don’t mind that; I just don’t think I should pay for it. I called the place where I bought the stove and asked how long it should take to install the fan and they said it should take about an hour. That’s what I’m not happy about. His work was fine but it took him four times as long as it should have and he charged me four times as much. I will never use him again.

Responsive to phone call, willing to discuss and come up with a plan that worked for both of us with the need for 2 house call. He arrived on time both days, and was willing to consult on a possible oil to gas conversion. It all went very well

He was very business like and professional. He did a good job and fixed my problem.

This could have been impossible, and it wasn't -- the basement sink is an old soapstone, with an old-style drain that wasn't properly supported. Mr. Goguen looked over the existing connections, figured out a replacement-part combination that he could get at Home Depot (10 minutes away), went and got it, and fitted the whole thing together so it drains well and doesn't leak, and we don't have to rip out and replace the old sink. Did the whole job in about two hours. Without making a mess in my basement.

I called Denis when we had a very tight window to get work done (right before we closed on our new house). He moved his schedule around with less than 24 hours notice and met with us to give us an estimate, which was very reasonable. (Our basement half bath was not plumbed correctly and was violating code.) He agreed to do the work the first day we had the house, so that he would be done before other workmen were onsite. We were very impressed and will use him again. p.s. A lot of plumbing companies have fancy matching outfits and very high fees to match. Denis gets the work done right and charges a reasonable amount, which we appreciate.

Denise was very pleasant and knowledgeable about his profession. He managed to complete the job in a difficult location. I asked his opinion about water pressure and leaks in other parts of the house. He is returning to install a water filter and hook up a fridge for water supply at a later date.

Denis was on time, cleaned up and everything is working just fine. I will call him for my future plumbing needs.

I bought a special offer of 2 hours of plumbing service for $99. Dennis took more than a week to respond to my initial call for an appointment, because he was swamped with calls. Once we made the appointment, he was prompt, worked very efficiently, and finished the 4 projects I had asked him to do in under two hours. Then he answered questions I had about a possible future plumbing project.

The overall experience was excellent. Denis was polite, prompt and extremely clean. In order to replace the trip lever and drain closure, he had to go get parts based on my description. He did not get the exact same part as what was there, but he was able to replace the entire thing and make it perfect. He did that without adding to the cost of the job. He had to squeeze into a tight space and did so without complaining. He replaced the shower arm, which means that water is no longer coursing out of the bathtub and through the kitchen ceiling whenever someone tries to take a shower. He did that in just a few seconds. His work was perfect, and he had all of the parts necessary to complete the job, despite my inaccurate description. Finally, as he was leaving, I was attempting to put a light fixture back together in the kitchen. I had no idea what I was doing and I wasn't really tall enough to do it. Denis ended up putting it together for me, which made it much easier. This had no impact on his skill as a plumber, but it is an indication of his character.

All went well until the drain came apart. This required parts which were not in his truck,and a trip to a supplier was necessary..This was a second trip for parts and that, together with rebuilding the drain caused an estimated 21/2 to 3 hour job to a 41/2 job.This was not Denis's fault at all. there were no signs that would give him a clue that such a problem w/there. He did an great job. I only mention it, because if we started with what seemed to be the most difficult job, only one supplier trip would be needed. That said,again,Denis did a great job.

I couldn't be there myself; but my teen aged son. After introducing Mr. Goguen to our third floor housemate who showed him a perpetually blocked sink, which he completely cleared it in less than 10minutes according to both my housemate and my son (it is still running perfectly 2+months later), my son then showed Mr. Goguen our perpetually leaky 1st floor bathtub. He replaced the washers in both the cold and hot water spigots in under 20 mins. this may not sound impressive to you; but this job had been quoted by a reputable plumber, who told me it would entail FAR more time (2 - 4hrs REPLACING stems) and money ($600 + I would need to hire someone to redo the tiles!!)so needless to say, it seemed pretty impressive to me!!! I was thrilled. Both housemate and son reported that Mr. Goguen was professional, friendly and upbeat. I would call him again in a heartbeat! Hooray for Mr. Goguen!!!!

The job ended up being less complex than I thought, but he did a great job. He took out an old water filter, the capped the pipes, switched the cold water supply from the filtered supply to the unfiltered supply.

I had purchased my first Angie's Big Deal coupon for plumbing services in September (2 hours for $99.00), which I considered an incredible deal. The service provider for this coupon was Denis Goguen, an experienced plumber with excellent reports. I had previously hired a plumber through Angie's List in 2010 because I was experiencing banging pipes every time I used our new HE front loader washing machine. At that time the plumber installed arresters as well as installed shutoffs for our water main (which we desperately needed). Everything worked smoothly until August of this year when we began to experience banging again in the pipes. I called the plumber who had previously performed this work and unfortunately he was too busy to assist. He did walk me through the process, however, not being a plumber I was not comfortable with performing this process. He mentioned that he was very busy and probably couldn't get to this for a few weeks. When I saw the coupon from Angie's I thought the timing could not have been better. Denis' coupon appeared on my daily Angie's List Big Deal coupon email and I thought this was a perfect opportunity to get this repaired.I left Denis a voice mail over the weekend and by Monday night he had returned my call and we scheduled an appointment for Wednesday. Not only did he fix the water hammer, but he also replaced our bathroom faucet (which we purchased knowing that it might need to be replaced) as well as a valve. The entire cost was was $99.99 for the two hours plus the cost of the faucet that I had previously purchased. Denis was professional, very efficient and extremely fair.

I bought a coupon from Angie’s List and used him. He was good at communicating. He told me what to do to get ready so that he could make the best use of the time. He came prepared. He fixed what I needed. He was very agreeable to work with. He was careful to cleanup and was careful in the house. The coupon was excellent. It was like two hours for the price of one. It was an excellent price. I actually didn’t ask him what his regular fee was. He sent me a message saying it would take a while for him to get back to me because he was swamped with work. He is a one-man operation. He responded to my email and my phone call and we scheduled an appointment. He was punctual. He showed up on time. I would use him again in the future.

We purchased the service from an "Angie's Deal" offer. Denis returned our call promptly, arrived at the time he said he would, and finished the work within the time allotted. He explained what the problem was with the leaking toilet, and cleaned both areas he worked in. He even carried the old toilet and the box outside. I have already recommended Denis to a friend who asked if I knew a good plumber.

Denis was great! He responded quickly, was on time, courteous and knowledgeable, and best of all, our toilet is fixed and we haven't had any problems with it since. I will definitely plan to use him again anytime we have a plumbing issue — and with a house that is 60 years old, I'm sure one will come up eventually!

He was here for a little bit more than an hour. He was extremely prompt. He was running a little late because this is a tough place to park. He called and kept me informed. He was very upfront about what he was doing. I had him look at one or two things other than the faucet. He did a thorough job and cleaned up after himself. He was pleasant to work with and his price was excellent. I would recommend him. I got an Angie's List Big Deal. I didn't pay for it myself, but I gave him a check for $80. That was over whatever he had estimated.

I purchased a coupon for 2hrs labor for $99. The total cost includes this coupon and $75 for parts. I reached out to Denis via email describing my leaking pipe and a couple of other issues with pictures and received a phone call a couple of days later. I returned his call and promptly made an appointment. He showed up on-time and was very professional. He looked at what needed to be done and promptly began work. He had to cut out a couple of sections of pipe and replace them and anchor the new pipe to the cement wall. He did an excellent job. It took him a total of 4.5 hours to do the job and check out a couple of other issues. He gave me good advice to help save me money and also discovered a leaking toilet and advised how I could fix it. Overall, he did an excellent job and he knows his stuff. I did feel that he may have milked the time a bit knowing that I used the coupon as he was not super fast. The one think that I did not do that I wish I had was to get estimates from other plumbers to compare the costs. I purchased the coupon thinking that I was getting a deal but I really do not know if I did. To me it seemed like it took a bit longer than it should have but I really have no comparison to go off of just my gut feel. I would use him again but would definitely request a quote prior to any work commencing and also get other quotes just to be sure everything is fair.

Investigated a water flow issue with the kitchen sink. Tried to fix the faucet and when he was unable to do so he waited for me to go and buy a new faucet so he could install it right then and there.

The worked was performed in a timely and professional manner. The work was excellent. I had obtained an estimate from another plumber who was going to charge almost twice as much as Mr. Goguen. I would not hesitate to use him again.
