Titan Plumbing & Heating

I already told you, they ams, said the offer I bought was not for gas furnaces, that would cost several hundred dollars, and wanted $100 from me for coming to my house for nothing.

It was the second time we've used Titan and we are pleased with their service.

I bought an AL special coupon because I needed a very stubborn tub drain cleared that defied all my previous attempts to clear it with chemicals. After buying the coupon, I emailed the company to ask for an appointment but never got a reply (hence only a C for responsiveness). However, when I called after waiting for a few days, I received a return call and scheduled the appointment. A technician appeared on time and was able to resolve the problem after spending a considerable amount of time. After resolving the problem, the technician tried to upsell me a lot of plumbing work, despite my remark that I plan to renovate the whole house and not interested in doing bits and pieces. I got an impression that the technician was a good at what he was doing but not trained in customer communications. The drain stayed perfect from then on. A good experience overall, and i would definitely call them again for other work.

Same as above. I ended up comparing prices with other plumbers and having a new water heater installed by a different company at about half the price the Titan plumber had quoted. I think their pricing is on the high end of the spectrum, although from my conversation with the Titan plumber I received the impression that they do have advanced skills and equipment available through their company that might make the higher price worthwhile with more complicated or difficult plumbing jobs.

Should had been a standard job, however, the fittings on the pipe were slightly difference from the standard ones.

I asked how much it would cost to fix and he said it?s against code and should actually be going through the inside of the house. He quoted me astronomical prices for this. He also said there were a lot of other repairs to be done. I wondered if he was trying to scam me. He may be right, it just seemed like a lot of work for a lot of money.

The experience Titan Plumbing & Heating went well.

I didn't like that he wanted to sell me more service after doing what was involved in the deal. He told me that I needed to replace the entire sewer line and that there were potential cracks in the line.

They were pretty thorough. The last one seemed to be more knowledgeable than the one that just came out. I didn't check anyone else for pricing but I thought it was a little high.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience, which was about a year ago at the time of this review. It was more expensive than we planned due to parts that were required to "tune up" our toilet, but there was nothing misleading about this in the initial ad. Our only complaint is that the toilet still does not flush as smoothly as we would like. Specifically, the handle has to be held for a long time in order for it to completely work.

They just did an inspection for me. They were fine and average. I have no complaints. Everything went very well.

This was a great deal. They did such a good job that I purchased another deal from them!

Their service was overall impressive. The plumber had an excellent service. He knew what he was doing, and he was easy to talk with.

Titan plumbers were very professional and kept me informed of all the details of the process. I was impressed with their initial visit and immediately offered to have them return to do a long list of minor repairs and plumbing upgrades I needed around the house. They were able to book within a week at a convenient time for me. I was a bit disturbed by the high price, but had not gotten other estimates to compare, and I know plumbing is expensive, so I went ahead and contracted with them because I wanted the work done soon. The workers were careful to wear booties in the house, move carpets, put down drop cloths, and otherwise keep their work areas clean. They worked carefully and thoroughly, even testing each new valve several times. They installed two new toilets - I originally planned to buy American Standard at a local store to save money, but they convinced me to go with a brand that they recommended - Toto. I would never have thought to check out this brand, but Titan insisted I would find Toto to be better. They were right! Best I have ever used! Excellent quality, quick and flawless flush, quick and quiet filling, and seats that lower gently without slamming. I am glad I went with Titan's recommendation.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for the services of Titan Plumbing -- $100 for $200 worth of work. I nearly forgot about it. Then my sink began leaking. I touched one of the pieces of the u-pipe and it crumbled. Titan came out the next business day (I preferred they not come on the weekend). The person from Titan examined it and gave us options on how to approach it, the level and expense of each tier that would solve the problem. We picked the one that was right for us and our budget and it was performed quickly and efficiently.

The Titan representive was on time, and did a thorough inspection job. He made recommendations for future maintenance and replacement. He was very engaged in his job, and offered a lot of advice about plumbing.

The special offer wasn't particularly useful, but it did introduce us to Titan Plumbing and Heating. The company seemed very upfront about what you do and don't need, and how much it is going to cost. They don't push you to buy things. They offer options and they are clear about what needs to be done and what doesn't matter. So they were very informative but not pushy. They have a good attitude and they are very professional. The people that I have worked with are all very nice.

They called shortly before the scheduled appointment and arrived on time. He was obviously very familiar with the type of boiler and had a routine procedure to perform the work required. Cleaned up the area completely before leaving. It went very smoothly and I was happy with the result. I will ask them to come back next year.

.I have pretty high regard for Titan Plumbing & Heating. There was a sewer pipe and a storm drain pipe leading out from the house and they were both wrecked as shown by the camera. There was massive excavation and both pipes had to be replaced. A gas main was not where it was supposed to be and it was a mess. The job was supposed to take a few days and it took over a week. The plumber who did it noticed that my water heater was also about to go, so we replaced that too with something better. I like Titan. One of the things that I liked about the guy from Titan was that he was also a plumber and he steered me in the direction of things that may cost a little bit more upfront but were intensely low maintenance and I like that. They did excellent work and provided very good work.

They did a decent job, but they are way over priced. They came out to give a sales pitch with some sort of a customer VIP program or maintence contract.

I purchased a "Big Deal" coupon for a sewer line TV inspection. At only $49, it was a great price (hence the "A" rating). The plumber showed up on time and did a fine job inspecting the sewer line and explaining the problems that were found. However, it wasn't a great experience. I was told my sewer was in danger of imminent collapse/backup. The visit turned into a high pressure sales experience. There was a lack of professionalism, lots of profanity. ("This is f**king awful", "If it backs up you'll have a basement full of s**t"). He did offer to return in the evening so he could explain the needed work to my wife and me, which was nice. Later that evening he returned to meet with the both of us and had some pretty crippling (cost-wise) estimates. I asked if I could make a copy of the written estimate, and my request was denied saying it was "proprietary information". I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman. Again with the profanity, even in front of my wife. Fortunately, we took the time to get two other estimates before committing to such a big job. Both estimates were less than half of Titan's estimate. I understand cheaper isn't always better, but Titan's estimate was an order of magnitude greater. Both of the other companies I consulted for an estimate were happy to give me a written, itemized estimate with a cost breakdown, something Titan refused to do. I left the price rating at "A" because we did get a good deal on the sewer inspection, but it felt like a bait and switch.

They did a very good job. The thing that stands out the most is that they are very professional. I am very pleased with their service.

He was really nice and really straight forward. He seemed really concerned that I be happy. He explained everything that the toilet tune-up would include. He looked at the toilet with me said the things I needed done would be much more expensive and were not included. He was very nice. He was prompt, polite, and professional. I decided to have have the deal refunded. I certainly would and plan to use him in the future though.

Although the price of the video inspection is a fantastic bargain, BEWARE!!! The inspection performed by Jared was through and professional, and did discover some issues with my sewer line. Here is where things go downhill. Of course Titan would like to perform the necessary repairs, but their fees are ridiculously high compared to others. Jared used mild scare tactics, such as talking about the part of the sewer line where dirt was falling into the pipe (I watched the inspection as it was being performed and there were no breaks in the pipe) and how serious it would be if the pipe collapsed. He gave me a quote for $8400. I called a competitor and got a quote for less than $2000. Doing a little research, I discovered that anyone working on a sewer line must be on your town's list of approved sewer contractors. There are roughly 2 dozen contractors approved to work on sewer lines in my town, and Titan is not one of them. They were going to charge $8400 and then hire someone else to do the work for much much less money. I have used Titan in the past and felt that their prices were very high, but with one exception, the workmanship has been good. After this experience I will not use them again. EVER. If you read some of the other reviews about them you'll find that I'm not the only one who finds their business practices questionable.
