When Dan came to estimate the job, a spring cleanup, he was punctual, courteous, and seem to know what I expected from his job, and I had agreed upon what was to be done. However, the two man crew he sent out did not complete the work as outlined with Dan. They left debris uncollected and seemed to waste much time. The cleanup of the lawn and pool area was not done. Leaves were left unraked under bushes, and the edging was poorly done. There was even a pile of leaves not disposed of. In fairness to Dan, when I complained, he came out himself with another crew who did the job and worked quickly. However, the edging was never corrected and some of the raking under the bushes still was not completed. Finally, I accepted the job because I was too tired to address the cleanup issues anymore.

I have used Dan's service since last spring. He did a very professional job in the spring of cleaning up and removing brush. I also used his services for mowing this psat summer. When we agreed to the mowing service I was given a price of 450 for a fall clean -up. This was agreed upon. When the service was performed on Nov. 21, 2012 I received a bill for $900!! No explanation was given. I called the service 2 times requesting an explanation and when no one contacted me after 5 busness days I sent a check for the agreed upon price and cancelled all further services. Will never use this service again!

We switched to Dan the LawnMan's service in spring 2012 for lawn cuts every other week. He came out, estimated the job, submitted his bid and contract, and we signed with him. The work was good, but the abrupt severing of service in July, by paper letter, to let us know we were too far away to make our job worth his while, left us scrambling for a replacement service, to our extreme disappointment. It would have been better if he had just refused to do the job for reasons of distance, or quoted a higher amount to better cover his costs. The inconvenience of having to find another service was such that we would not recommend this provider to anyone else, and obviously we will never do business with him again.

Dan the Lawn Man's service "Honestly" deserves an A+! Dan and his team are reliable, hard working, and very friendly. If you don't know what to do with certain aspects of your yard... just ask them. (They are filled with years of experience and have great ideas.) They say what they will do, and then do what they say (and then some). They leave your yard neat as a pin. And all, within what seemed to us to be a very reasonable quote. We could not be more pleased, and we'll hire them for all upcoming yard projects. Thanks guys, you are the best. - Marie and Jeff

Overall, Dan the LawnMan was great and I'd recommend him. If he was able to service my lawn on a weekly basis, I'd hire him as well but he's too far away. Dan did a great job with the new fence. Dan was truly professional, he listened, came earlier than expected and was on time and thorough--they got all the work done in one day. Overall, he's just a really good trustworthy person.

I contacted Dan the Lawn Man in regards to having some landscaping. He was profossional, flexible and punctual. He and I looked over the yard and he made some solid suggestions. I felt the quality of the work was good and I look forward to working with him again.

Dan was able to fit in our work earlier than the original estimate after we asked for this, as we wanted to get the front lawn under control sooner rather than later. In just three days, he and his crew had the overgrown plants taken care of, the mulch down, and most of the trees taken out (and it was totally our fault that the remaining trees weren't already taken down - we had a car blocking the area during the days he was here). Not only that, but he put a skim coat at the bottom of our back porch stairs, repaired a section of fence that was falling down, and repurposed some bricks from the garden to make an edging around one of the beds and a walkway next to the back porch. We're thrilled with the results - it looks like a whole new yard, and I'm sure the neighbors are happy about this too! Dan is really personable, reliable, knowledgable, and honest, and we really appreciate that. We're looking forward to seeing our front lawn in bloom next spring!

The crew was very professional. The work done and cleanup was exceptional. They arrived on July 2 AM and finished July 3 PM. My wife and I were able to go about our business without any inconvience. Some of the overgrowth was far worse than first thought but Dan and his crew were able to manage it.

I will have to send in a new review as this man after two months decided to back out saying that Dracut was too far from Tewksbury which I find that to be poor business. I then had to chase around for another Lawnman in the middle of the summer when they are all busy. Anyway he did me a favor as the new lawnman I have is $10.00 cheaper & an even better job. My experience from start to finish was excellent. Dan originally came out back in May to give me an estimate for my project. At that time, he told me it would be a summer project because he had to finish all of his landscaping commitments. I appreciated his honesty and respect the fact that he is loyal to his customers. Dan came as promised and finished the job in less time than expected, he even did some extra carpentry work that wasn't part of the original quote. In addition, my final bill "went down" when does that ever happen? I will defininitely call upon Dan for future projects.

After some initial difficulty in making contact and setting up time for an estimate, Dan came out to the house, discussed the project in detail and provided a reasonable estimate. His crew arrived at the agreed upon time and finished the project in an efficient manner. Based on this service I hired Dan for bi-monthly mowing of the complete one acre lawn. His crew again arrived on time for the first scheduled mowing and I also received a follow up call to check on the service and to explain why one bush removal had not been done (due to an equipment issue). I was then assured that it would be taken care of at the next scheduled mowing. Based on this performance I subsequently hired Dan's for a fall clean-up. As of this time I am very pleased with his services and plan on continuing to utilize his company in the future.

I first have to say how impressed I was when Dan came to the house to provide the estimate. He was at our home for 45 minutes, going through each step of the work we wanted done and giving us some great ideas. He seemed genuinely interested in making our yard look better. That was why I hired him over the other lanscapers that had come to the home, as we did get several estimates, but I really appreciated his ideas and interest. Also, when I called back to ask some questions about the estimate about a week later, he was able to remember my yard and his suggestions and explain the estimate in detail. They came to the house even earlier than expected. The guys worked hard all day (8 hours) to do all of the work, according to relatives of mine that were home . I was not at home when the work was being done, but I came home to everything looking great! There were some especially overgrown shrubs in the front of the house, and they did a great job trimming those back and making them look neat again. We did have a recently planted tree removed by accident by the crew. I told Dan's assistant the next day and she immediately apologized and said they would replace the tree. Also, I thought the edges of the mulch beds were not as neat as I would have liked and stated that to Dan's assistant. She explained that because of the nature of the ledge in our yard (very rocky) they would work on this a little each time they came to do the yard work to continue to make the edges more distinct. I was satisfied with that response and appreciated the explanation. They only came to mow for the second time today, so I can't speak to them following through with this yet. So far I'm very satisfied with Dan the Lawnman services and have hired them to come for the remainder of the summer.

Dan and crew came early on Sat. morning and spent a good number of hours clearing out densely overgrown plants along our driveway that had grown up along the stone wall separating our property from neighbors. They cleaned along both sides of the driveway; took down some dead trees; hauled away several very full truckloads of plant material. They also did a nice yard clean up for us.

I asked Dan to provide a quote on mowing the lawn of a house roughly 2 weeks before closing. The seller had moved to Japan and obviously couldn't mow it himself. His agent, who was left in charge of the property, abandoned it as soon as the purchase and sale agreement was signed. The seller's attorney agreed to have the lawn mowed and remove the seller's belongings as soon as possible. I contacted Dan to hire him to begin mowing the lawn after the seller's attorney mowed it first. Dan wanted to provide a new estimate after meeting me at the house. I met him at the house while the attorney's crew worked to remove the seller's remaining items. Dan agreed to begin mowing after the crew mowed the lawn. A few days later, after the crew mowed the lawn, I contacted Dan as agreed. Dan went back on his word and refused to begin mowing unless I met him at the house a second time, to agree to a new price. Dan's excuse was that the crew could not possibly have mowed the lawn well-enough to begin regular mowing. Dan never mentioned any of this to me, or to the crew, while they were on site with us.

Dan sent two individuals to complete this project. I remember thinking about 3 hours into it that they were not going to finish in the estimated time. All of a sudden, I looked outside and they were leaving. He delivered and spread the mulch the following day. Everything was completed as promised! i was very pleased that they were able to complete the job within the estimate. We plan on using Dan the Lawn Man this summer for upkeep!

Dan contacted me the day after I purchased his clean up special. He said he would be in touch once he had a chance to set up his schedule. I told him I wanted to be home when they worked at my house. He called a few days later after I had left & wanted to come that day. I got back to him & we set a date. On that date, his office called to say they were finishing another job in the morning and would come around noon, which they did. Dan & Mike were here for two afternoons, about 10 hours. They were courteous, professional, paid attention to detail. Mike discovered that my crabapple tree had a winter moth problem which I wasn't aware of. I am happy with the work that was done. My landscaping looks much better. They would be wonderful at staging.

They did a great job, and were here for quite some time.

I know since we didn't go with Dan, this review carriers lower weight. But I wanted to say that Dan was responsive and affable. We had multiple quotes and his was competitive with the lower. He thoroughly described his proposal. He promptly responded to a flurry of follow-up questions. Our choice was essentially a coin flip with another service with the same characteristics. If we have any problems with our choice, we will be going right back to Dan.

Dan and his helper showed up a few minutes early and got to work cleaning out the borders. He used rakes, blowers and a big mower/tractor for the lawn and picking up the leaves, etc. He was careful about the plants, too...they all seemed to survive fine. I was happy with the work...I wish they could have finished it all, but there was so much to do that I think I should have bought 2 coupons! I did pay an extra $25 for him to take the leaves and other plant material away. He even took my old Christmas tree and a big cedar branch that had fallen the week before! He was courteous and polite.

I am happy with his work. He has been punctual and has performed work he promised to do. He and his team are very dedicated people. His customer service is good.
