Thank you very much. Yes we were behind schedule, due to late winter we had a 2 week delay to the season. I did have the crews working 65 hrs a week for the last 4 to catch up, and thankfully with long weekend we are caught up. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to a great relationship.

Hum, dont understand this review. She called and requested snow plowing, as the blizzards were occuring. Our snow route happen to be at maximum capacity and it is general rule we only plow for our landscape accounts. I apologize but I do need to be responsible to those who make a commitment to us.

Description of Work: He was polite enough to tell me he was backed up for 1 and 1/2 weeks and suggested I try a local teenager in the neighborhood, which I ended up doing because every one on the list was taken for weeks! and cost me a lot more. Also he called me back within a day.

Ok little surprised at punctuality, obviously this is our busiest time of year, and I let everyone know about how far out we are booked, and this job was done sooner than I originally estimated mainly due to the fact it was so close to the shop. If you ask a landscaper for work to be done and you ask in April, plan on it being a couple weeks later. We have a lot of work and regular customers who starting paying and planning in February and all regular customers are completed first. I do my best to meet everyone's expectations but sometimes expectations are unrealistic. Don't call me Wednesday for a lawn cut Friday, we are not sitting around waiting for that 1 job or customer. We service many different clients and poor planning on your end does not constitute an emergency on my end. My regular customers come first and always will, they are the ones who support my business year round. So if that is the main critique, then I think we are doing pretty good.

Overall, I thought things went really well. Given the price of renting a Bobcat machine, I thought Dan's invoice was quite reasonable. Dan asked me how the results were and I told him that the boulder was not rotated as I had liked and he said no problem and came back the next day and rotated it the way I liked at no additional charge. Dan has some creative ideas and some straight talk advice. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to hire him again as more budget opens up and the opportunity arises.
Description of Work: I had a 30 year old mess in my yard that I inherited when I bought my property. I asked Dan to clean it up a bit and dig out a boulder and place it in a strategic location to deter reckless drivers and snow plows from tearing up my yard.

He told me some of the ideas he had for the landscaping, and I told him what I wanted, the designs were all mine. He posted pictures of my yard on Angie's List without my permission, didn't even ask me. He also said we worked together on that project, but we didn't, it's entirely my design. The tree he put in, a japanese maple, he charged me $75 for that tree. I don't know if the prices he gave me were correct or not, but I know the tree wasn't. The tree didn't survive the winter, so I told him I wanted a replacement tree. But, he brought a completely different tree, a smoked something. He was going to cut down some small trees and shrubs, but I had my brother do it instead. When he came back to replace the tree, he got mad because he thought I had hired someone else, a guy that he fired, to do it. He went up on his prices and never discussed it with me. He tells people that he knows how to do everything, but he doesn't. I have fired him and I paid him off just to get rid of him.
Description of Work: I hired him to plow my driveway in the winter and he told me he does landscaping, so I hired him to do some work.

Sometimes you just can not please everyone. The design was a combined effort, except she flip flopped the rock and mulch. You do not plant shrubs in rock that is in direct sun, they burn and dry up. It is the same tree that I replaced and the one removed is in my yard and doing well. After cutting her grass every other week at a loss for the projects I quoted and then to see with my own eyes a guy I fired doing the work, I gave her up as a customer, was not fired. As far as my knowledge goes I am self taught no formal education, and if I don't know the answer, I get the answer from one of many mentors who are in the business, and I tell all my customers this. I do provide references and that can be verified. Oh, she did forget to mention that I put up her Christmas lights for no charge, shovels her roof. Off from all the snow this past winter for a minimal charge, and always offered to go to the store for her in the bad weather. Of all the customers I have dealt with, she is truly the only that was not satisfied, which does not make me happy. My goal is to make you happy with the services I provide. She is upset because I can no longer and sit with her for an hour to talk while I have guys with me on the clock and other customers waiting. I get paid to do landscaping not to be a friend, that is always a bonus to become friendly with a customer but first and foremost they are a customer, and I still need to make a profit. Insurance, gas and taxes are not cheap. I am truly sorry that things did not work out better.

From the get go Dan was very responsive and delivered a quote in a timely manner. He was easy to get in contact with after our initial meeting and was happy to answer any questions I had. The work they didi was absolutely great. Both yards looked fabulous and there was a lot of work to do. In addition to simply cleaning up yard debris they also weeded and went the extra mile. They obviously care about the work they do and care about providing quality work to their customers. If we hire a company for routine lawn maintenance in the future it will be Dan the Lawn Man!

Dan came out to provide a free estimate for installation of a custom fence I had already purchased. He came on time and his quote was very competitive; it was less than the other two quotes we had received for the same job. We agreed to start the job. He was on time, and erected the fence in a few days. The quality of his work was very good. Dan is a honest and hard working guy. We were so impressed with his work that we are looking for other things he can do for our yard. I would recommend him to anyone needing lawn services.
