Terrible experience. Had a simple battery replacement. They didn't know about a basic plug in part that retains the computer settings so all computer settings were lost. When the car came out, the check engine light was on and the car did not start properly. I immediately went back in to register my complaint. The manager was interested more in arguing with me than hearing me and fixing the problem. I had to bring the car to my mechanic who said 2 sensors were blown in the computer indicating to him that Sears had crossed the connection on the battery which caused both the check engine light to come on and the car not to start properly. He said that all they had to do was what he did which was take the car in and put it on the computer which would have pointed them right to the problem. I called in a complaint to Sears for the district manager who never contacted me. I will NEVER go to Sears automotive in Swanea again and recommend you do the same

Went to Sears in the Swansea Mall in Swansea, MA to look for a particular brand of refrigerator that would fit in the space in our home. They did not have it in the store so I was told by the salesperson to order it from Sears online and that they would then handle the delivery and installation. So we purchased it online and it was delivered as expected. The delivery and installation team was not Sears but was contracted by Sears. Two guys came in, removed our old refrigerator and brought in the new one. After the waterline was hooked up, he banged the new refrigerator against the back wall until I asked him to stop doing that. I wanted some space between the back of the unit and the wall. They left. According to the manual we were to throw away the first 2 gallons of water from the door unit, as well as the first two loads of ice from the icemaker in the freezer. We collected the water and dumped but we had no ice. I checked the manual and it said to wait for at least 24 hours for ice, so we did. No ice. So I called the manufacturer and they setup a repair appointment to take a look at the icemaker. That was set for Monday. On Saturday, I went into the basement and was horrified to see that water was leaking from above causing a large pool of water on the basement floor. I could see it was coming through the floor under the new refrigerator so I turned off the water to the fridge. Now this had been leaking for 3 days on our wood floor which was soaking up the water. I posted about this on the Sears facebook page and they contacted us. To make a long story short, the repairman that came out on that Monday fixed the broken piece that was caused by the incompetent installation of banging the unit against the back wall. Our wood floor in the meantime is ruined. It now has waves and the floor under the unit is completely ruined. Sears asked for us to get an estimate and we did. $1400 to fix. They sent out their own insurance adjustor who came in and reviewed everything. When he left she said we should hear from them the next day and we have not heard from them since. I have contacted them on numerous occasions and have posted daily on the Sears facebook page. That seems to work the best as they do provide a standard response but nothing has been done to resolve it. So I have a ruined floor and am looking at $1,400 dollars that I should not have to spend to fix what their incompetent installation crew caused. I would NOT purchase anything from them again.

I chose them because they had a sale and also since I get additional points through one of my member cards. My experience with them went good and all my expectations were met. I placed the order and told them when I wanted it delivered after which the delivered it on the exact date. They did a couple of reminder phone calls and everything with them went fine.
Description of Work: I used Sears to purchase mattresses.
