Nice gang. I was told not to expect the White House lawn, but to tell you the truth, it could have been the White House lawn when the grass finally came up. My neighbors were impressed. The work was done quickly and with good equipment. My only comment is that I didn't think I should have had to wet down the backyard myself. I know it saved the guys time and it was easy to do (and I'm sure I could have refused) , but wasn't I paying not to have to do anything? But I WAS getting a bargain, so I shouldn't complain. I'm extremely happy with the results.

I had purchased a big deal and it turned out good. They showed up on time, their work was good, they didn't fool around, and they cleaned up after themselves, which was great. The deal was a good price, but the additional time that I had was expensive. The quality of work was good.

Bernie and his employees are fabulous! Very professional and they pay attention to detail. I have had them to my house several times and every single time, I am thrilled! His guys get in and out and get the job done. Very reasonably priced. If you are looking for quality landscapers, look no further!

Bernie was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He was able to consult on the project and give us some good design ideas. He showed us his work from other projects and helped us generate some ideas as to what might work with our project. He was never pushy. He and his team were punctual, respectful and efficient. They did really nice work at a very reasonable price. They worked cleanly and delivered on everything that we planned. We would absolutely use them again for a future project.

Excellent job. Pruning and shaping of tree was done with precision. Cleanup was thorough. Additional shurbbery is healthy and grass looks like new! Everything was done as discussed. Thank you.

Mr Macauley came out and looked over the job and concluded his crew could do the basic work in the 3 hour timeframe of the "Deal". He was helpful and informaitive. I asked him to give me an additional quote on a spring clean-up which he did on the spot (it was quite a bit higher than what I'd paid another landscaper this past spring). I also asked for a quote on adding some low-maintenance plantings to mix in some color and variety to the existing plantings. We went over the plan, and he took notes on what we'd need to add to the existing plantings (10 or 12 plants and bushes). His crew (3 men) spent an hour doing the trimming, cutting, weeding and tidying up the beds. They worked fast and efficiently, and the result was very positive. My only negative (thus the B on "Responsiveness") is that he never got back to me with an estimate for the much larger job of adding new plantings. Since we spoke about that work being done in the Spring it's quite possible it's on their back burner, but he did say he'd get back to me soon. I would recommend them, but do hope they get back to me with the quote for the additional work.

Macauley Brothers, and Bernie who we worked with particularly, were outstanding. The quote was very fair (we had gotten a few others) and the final price was exactly as he quoted, no surprises. The work was done exactly on time, and Bernie fielded our calls quickly to answer our questions. The final product is fantastic. Really high quality, great craftsmanship, timely, and cost exactly what we were quoted. We couldn't be happier and are eager to refer friends and family. Thanks, Bernie!

Excellent. They were professional and friendly and did a great job. I was very happy with the work. I have them coming back again in a few weeks. I would definitely recommend them.

Bernie Macaulay sends teams of three trained workers to do whatever yard work and/or landscaping you need. The guys are well trained and friendly. They make good suggestions about what they can accomplish in the time they are there, and they get an enormous amount done. They also clean up the area beautifully. I plan to hire them again for the gardening/landscaping that I can't manage anymore.

Excellent experience with Bernie and his crew. Bernie came by on a Saturday afternoon for a full consultation first: he spent 30 minutes with us walking the property and explaining which types of bushes & trees we had, and what kind of care was required for them and the lawn. He also took pictures of the property to send to his crew so that he could explain in detail what needed to be done. We thought we only had about one hour of work to do, maybe two -- but given Bernie's expertise we quickly realized we had at least four hours' worth of work that was necessary. (We had moved into our new house in August and hadn't really attended to anything until working with Macauley Bros in mid-October.) Bernie scheduled us quickly, and when we came home from work three days later, our yard and grounds looked fantastic. We will definitely call on Macauley Bros again one more time this year for a final pre-winter yard clean-up, and look forward to working with them in the spring.

Couldn't have been better. Bernie came in September to estimate the job, i told him i was in no rush; he said he'd send the crew when he had otheer work it he area (the coupon was sending him to areas somewhat outside his normal work range). A couple of weeks later i got a call on a day i had said would be convenient, and a cheerful, knowledgeable crew of three came by, accomplished all the tasks I had planned and had time to spare. they would happily have completed the rest of the hour but it was raining (the start of the nor'easter) and I had nothing else that would fit into the time, so they cleaned up and were on their way. This was a coupon deal and I'm not sure what his regular prices would be but as far as quality goes, i would certainly use them again. It was a very pleasant experience.

It went very well, I had two other estimates that were the same price but I already purchased the Big Deal. He was in line with the other two estimates. It was perfect! He did a great job! Very friendly.

they called the day before to do the work so not much notice. They did a good job overall, even trimmed a small tree for me that was way overgrown.

I was away and had left a few dates for them to do the work. They came on one of those days and did just what they were supposed to do from the Big Deal. I am going to have them stop by again and give me an assessment of the lawn in general. They respond very quickly to e- mail which I find refreshing!

Came over to look at the lawn. Told us we'd need to purchase an additional 3 or 4 hours of work to finish the job, in addition to the big deal. Not willing to pay that much for a fall cleanup. Additional hourly rate was exceptionally high.

The crew was very efficient and polite. Four men worked almost non-stop for ten hours. Their work was very professional and neat. We could not have been more pleased.

Called to set up a time and the provider told me they would send 3 people for one hour of work. The deal read differently to me and I felt that the provider was being unacceptable in what they were trying to offer me with the service.

Bernie Macauley showed up shortly after we contracted with them and advised us on how best to go about repairing our damaged lawn. Within 2 days his crew came out and did a great job aerating, dethatching, and overseeding our lawn. It is already growing back only a short time after.

Bernie and his crew did an excellent job,showed up first thing in the morning and worked till sunset.They made 5 trips with truckloads of "junk" from the woods to dispose. We were very happy with the final outcome and felt he went above and beyond what we expected.Highly recommended!
