Bernie and his team are amazing! They are very professional and efficient. They completed a full retaining wall, patio and landscape work in just a couple of days and it came out beautiful! The guys were very respectful and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them!!

Excellent. They were extremely professional, courteous and did a great job. I would definitely recommend Mcauley brothers and I will continue to work with them to maintain my yard.

It was a busy year, and challenging to schedule. But, one scheduled everything was timely. punctual, professional, and superb.

Bernie was great to work with while setting up the project and his crew, led by Gus, did a fantastic job. We had few things done: - A fieldstone retaining wall along the driveway. Gus led the crew and he assembled the wall and did a wonderful job. The stones look dry-fitted from the front. - A new paver walkway and patio. Bernie helped with suggestions for the design and we ended up re-using our old bricks from the old walkway to create a border around everything. They then graded the yard up and around the patio to create a smooth transition from the level of the patio down to our uneven yard. - Pop up drains in the yard for all the downspouts that would have drained near or over a hard surface. - New fence posts to accommodate the wider walkway. When they were able to get to our house, it was very smooth and everyone working was professional. We also made some minor changes while the patio was in progress which the crew accommodated. After the end of the project we found one small paver that had developed a crack during the compacting process which Gus came back and fixed the very next day. We are very happy with the work that Macauley Brothers did at our house and intend to use them for future projects. I attached some photos right after the work was done and some more after the grass came in.

The work was reasonably priced, well communicated and well executed. As a stickler for details, I could not be more pleased and look forward to working together again. Bernie, Gus and the entire team are great at what they do and great at customer service. Each and every person that sees the finish product says "wow...your walk looks amazing". I have attached before and after photos so you can judge for yourself. Work completed in November 2017. This was an unsolicited review.

Not excellent but they did a good job

Absolutely thrilled with the result! The team got the entire pathway (including demo/removal of old, uneven pavers underneath the porch) in <2 days. Bernie was extrememly helpful in selecting the correct materials, even when we had to abide by Conservation Committee/Wetland guidelines for permeability.

Everything went great! Bernie and his crew were really pleasant to work with and very accommodating. I had to call back for service because the post caps fell off; they came the same day and nailed down all the post caps without a fuss. Will consider them for any future landscape/hardscape needs.

They were great- very into making the customer happy.

Bernie was very responsive, accommodating and professional. We needed a full yard clean up and his team did an outstanding and thorough job. They were efficient and hard working. Can't say enough good things.

Excellent!!! The Macauley Brothers sent a team of craftsmen to install a the pavers. The results are spectacular! Each of the team was a perfectionist! It was a great experience from initial contact with Bernie Macauley to the realization of the walkway.

Poorly They blocked neighbors driveway, and 2 out of 4 guys did the work

I just had them, done a ton of work for me; probably around May 1st we finished the project. Their price was competitive. Absolutely yes, I would use this provider again.

It was done in a timely and professional way. Very pleased with the results.

Everything fine except a written estimate took too long (close to a month). Ended up using someone more expensive. They did have the best price. Probably would have used them if time was not an issue.

This review is long overdue. Working with Bernie and Crew was one of the top MOST PLEASANT and STRESS-FREE experiences I've ever had in my 10 years of home ownership. Bernie is a professional through and through, and put me at ease with the first call. From the start he advised without expectation. His three guys (Gus, Matt and Silent Bob) were the perfect extension: always a smile on their faces, amenable, three of the hardest workers I've ever witnessed, and 100% aiming to please. I can't tell enough people to hire them. We WILL have them back!!1

It went very very well. The company was a pleasure to deal with. And Bernie himself kept close tabs on progress. His Foreman, Gus, was also a pleasure. He was prompt, polite, professional, and thorough with details.

They were very professional. Everything was done on time and to the estimates provided. Overall it was a great experience. High quality work done! I would high recommend them.

We had several Angie's List contractors come by to give us estimates to our project. While MacCauley Brothers was at the upper end of the prices we got, it was apparent to us that Bernie was the most knowledgeable of any of the contractors. He came up with a couple great ideas to make our project look even better. One idea was the re-route the water from a drain spout on the garage to an output in our lawn so all that water is now diverted from going on to our driveway. He also directed us to two granite and paver suppliers that had the items we needed and delivered everything when we needed them to and a great nursery where we found a huge selection of plants for the yard. The crew who did the work were two guys who worked hard for all six days they were on our project. They dug down about four feet of our driveway to get rid of any clay that was there. Bernie had told us that if all the clay was not removed, the pavers would end up shifting because the clay was so soft. I cannot stress enough that the job these two guys did was phenomenal. Seriously -- like a work of art. We are fairly new to the neighborhood and when the work was done, while we would be doing some yardwork in the front yard, people would stop at our house and tell us how beautiful our driveway and walkway look. People (strangers!) have stopped their cars while driving in front of the house to tell us how great everything looks. The cost was higher than we had anticipated but Bernie's crew did a top notch job. We have the best looking driveway and walkway in the entire neighborhood and there are very nice houses all around us. We do not regret busting the budget to get a fabulous look. We are looking to rip up some bushes and tress from the front of our house and have already contacted MacCauley Brothers to do the work. We will continue to hire them to handle our landscaping + hardscaping projects.
