Material and installation ok, but finishing details were poorly done, in fact never done and management responses too aggressive

We have looked around for our countertops and SMG had the most beautiful slabs. We got high end granite (emerald pearl and blue pearl) so the cost was higher but it was well worth it. They showed up on time and were very respectful. My husband did the plumbing and it wasn't until the crew left that we found issues with a sink and the stove area. They came back the following week and resolved everything to our satisfaction. I gave a B on quality because it wasn't done right the first time but they did fix it. I would use them again.

Tony was very helpful bringing us through their yard in Shrewsbury to view all possible slabs of granite. Once we found the right slab, it was reserved for us. Tony then worked with us to pick a bevel, backsplash, and sink. The following week a worker came to our condo to double check the measurements and build a template of our counters and island. A week later three workers arrived to remove our old countertops and sink and install the new ones. They were on-time, polite, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. The counters look great! Our only complaint was with how they handled the plumbing. The faucet hole was drilled after the sink was attached and before the plumber arrived. As a result, the plumber had very little room to work with. Also, our plumber said they did not do a great job disconnecting the old sink or the dishwasher. In hindsight, we should have had the plumber arrive first to disconnect the sink and dishwasher and then be there for the sink installation and drilling of the faucet hole. All worked out in the end after spending more than planned on the plumber. But we would still use Shrewsbury Tile and Granite again in the future.
