At first I was told that they promised "one week from order to install." That turned out to not be the case. It was really one week from the time they measure your counters to install. Which was okay. It was still a pretty quick turn around from the time I ordered until they were installed. The installation went went well. He even threw in an extra piece of granite for the top of a large kitchen cart I have. The granite was beautiful and I was happy. About 6-8 weeks later, a small piece of granite behind my stove (on a peninsula) came loose. I called and they said they would come out in two days to fix it. I waited all day and they never showed. I called back - Jay apologized profusely and said that he would personally come next week. On the scheduled day, he called and said he had an emergency and couldn't come and rescheduled. This happened again on the rescheduled day. The next rescheduled day he called and told me he would be late because of yet another emergency. He did finally show up. But he didn't bring all the tools needed to complete the job. There is one edge that needs to be ground down a bit to align with the piece next to it. He said he would call me tomorrow to set up an appointment to do that (as well as lower my stove to sit flush with the granite - which he agreed should have been done in the first place.) After receiving no call for three days, I called. He assured me he would get back to me. After this happening three times, I gave up. The misalignment isn't that noticeable, (although it happens to be where all my guests stand and put their hands) so I'm willing to live with it. It seems like more trouble than it's worth to bully them into coming out to fix it. If it weren't for the trouble I had getting that one piece fixed, I would absolutely recommend this company. If you're lucky enough to not need any follow up work, they are great. But, in my experience if you need anything done after the fact, it will be very difficult to get them to come fix it. Not impossible, just difficult. I will say that I got estimates from Lowe's, Home Depot and a couple of independent companies and Granite Depot was by far the least expensive - by about half. I have a fairly large kitchen and required two slabs of granite.
