Our large family room TV was suddenly on the blink. Kids were very upset. I called Tony and he came to the house within about 2 hours! He quickly diagnosed the problem-- which needed a new part (unfortunately not one he stocked on his truck). He ordered it and returned 2 days later, and completed the repair. Also vacuumed out the dusty parts of the TV. Separately one of the kids asked if he could help connect come playstation cables to our (complicated) TV and sound system. He spent an extra 30 min working on that, and was clearly not planning to charge for it (I tipped him). Tony is a real gentleman, punctual, honest, and extremely knowledgable/competent. I'd use him again in an instant.Hi recommended without hesitations. Price was significant, but I believe it was fair, based on similar reviews I've read on Angie's list.

I would tell my family and friends to use him as he is excellent. He called when he said he would and called me again once the work was done. It was a good experience and the price was really reasonable. I will continue to use him in the future and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a tv repair.

I called Tony a few days after the TV stopped working. He was able to accomodate my schedule and we set up an appointment for a few days later. He fixed the issue very quickly. Very professional. I definitely recommend him.

The TV screen was going black but the sound was still on - we thought maybe it was a burned out lamp. We called Tony in the morning- he came to the house that afternoon. He took the back and side panels off the TV and found a loose wire was causing the picture to go black. Tony fixed the wire and the TV has been great for five days now.

Tony fixed the television set within an hour--he also cleaned out the interior cabinet which had built up an incredible amount of dust over the years. The vcr wast tested by Tony and he said he could find nothing wrong with the rewind feature. He said he tested it with several different types of vhs tapes and it worked every time. So, I picked up the vcr from Tony's shop. The $260 I paid included a $ 40 charge to test the vcr--and I'm fine with that because he has to be paid for his time. And if any repairs were required, Tony told me the $40 would be applied against the total. I would not hesitate using Tony again or recommending him to others.

I called because all of a sudden our large screen tv had no picture. Of course it was a month after the warranty expired. I called and got a return call within a day and he was willing to come out the next day. He had to order a part which would be in when we were away. He still called and left a message saying that the part was in, that he knew we were out of town, but that we could call as soon as we got back and he'd be able to install it. Two days after we returned he fixed the television for the amount he quoted and it has worked great ever since. A great experience with a real professional!

My Sony Wega suddenly stopped working last night (just after the warranty expired, of course!) and I found Tony on line while searching for repair service. I emailed him last night at about 10:45 - I had an email response within 45 minutes. He was able to come out this evening and take a look at the set. Turns out I need a new fan. He installed a used one as a temporary measure to make sure everything would work properly and it did. He is ordering the new fan and will come back and install it in a few days. While he was here, he also noticed my HD hookup was not set up properly. He took care of that for me and suddenly it is like having a new TV! He was very professional and courteous. I would recommend him highly and would call him again.

I called him on a Saturday about servicing my tv. He rearranged his schedule and came over in 30 minutes. I have a very high-end setup and all of my wires are in the wall, which made this much more complicated. He identified the problem, although it required service by my manufacturer and original installer to fix. However, he spent more time than can be reasonably expected and he didn't charge extra although I felt he deserved it.

Our old TV (we thought it was 8 or 9 years old, but learned later is 18 years old) stopped working. We called Tony Max on Wednesday and he came to our home on Thursday. He spent close to 2 hours on this job and made sure we were satisfied. He is very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I wish more technicians were like Tony: punctual, pleasant to deal with and he provided a bid before commencing the work.

I dropped off the TV at the Roslindale location (which is a cleaner's oddly enough). Tony called me with an estimate to fix the tv after he took a look at it. The work was done within about a week. Good service at a good price.

This was great to have a person come to the house and fix my tv/vcr. I am very glad I called him and I did tell him I got his name from Angie's list.

He stayed about 2 1/2 hours, 2 hours of which were pure work. I had had major foot surgery and was housebound on Columbus Day weekend. I found him on Angies list and called him and he said he could come the same day betweeen 3 and 4pm. He finished a prior job early and called asking if I'd like him to come earlier. I of course agreed. He struck me right away as a gentleman. He has a lovely, musical Jamaican accent. He was very helpful to a random phone caller who was looking for a place that would rent her a TV. He spent 10 minutes on the phone just helping her locate a place. (He didn't charge by the hour-he charges by the project.) He was pleasant and kind throughout, and at the end, carefully put everything back in place. He also did 2 other small jobs at no extra charge and was very nice about it.

Tony came out the same day that we called to look at our TV and replace the lamp, which should have been a straightforward repair. Unfortunately there was a much bigger issue with the fans which melted the lamp in place and required a major breakdown of the TV. Since we had an extended warranty that covered everything but a lamp replacement we ended up having to schedule service through a third party. We paid $60 for the on site estimate which can be used for up to 30 days if we decided to go with repairs through this company. I was impressed that Tonymax was able to send someone to my home the same day and provide a reasonable price for the work we were anticipating. If we didn't have a warranty in place that restricted who we could use I would have scheduled the larger repair with this company.

He brought his laptop and went online. He was able to pinpoint from that what was wrong with my TV. He explained the options to me. He told me how much it would cost and that was the amount I paid. His prices are very reasonable
