We found Robert extremely punctual and professional during our initial meeting. He explained exactly what needed to be done to remove the tile, secure the subfloor, tape the joints between the plywood sub-floor, and install the new floor with the tile I picked out. His estimate was basically on par with the estimate that I had received from another tile installer. He has given us a date when he can start the job, which he expect to take between 4 to 4.5 days because of the demolition. There are few minor issues that I had on his estimate that is stood out from the previous estimate that I have received and work done in the past. Robert added on a separate line item for additional charges for all the installation materials, which I thought would have been included in the job. In addition, since he purchases his tile from Roma Tiles near his office and I am a longstanding customer of Tiles Plus on Route 9, when I asked him if there would be an additional charge for picking up the tiles at Tiles Plus he said that there probably would be although it is on his way to come to my house. On the issue of protecting my kitchen cabinets and other rooms from the dust from the demo, again there will be a small charge for the materials - not for the labor for putting up the plastic and drop cloths. When we discussed his estimate, Robert explained that he charges for his labor per diem and that is why the material charges are additional. I understand. These additional charges will not be a deal breaker because they add up to an additional couple of hundred dollars for the materials but I am going to speak with Tiles Plus if this is usual and customary. Otherwise, I have only positive reviews for Exclusive Tiling.

Jay did a great job in these bathrooms. His advice was always practical. The workmanship was excellent and looks great. He disposed of old materials and left the bathroom complete. I would not hesitate to use this company again for future projects.

Jay was friendly, responsible, and did beautiful work. Rates seemed good and I would use him again in a heartbeat. Responded quickly to my request for an estimate, was happy to talk about different options on the phone, and kept in touch to let me know when he could come. Even caulked an area that wasn't really part of the job -- just to help me out. Highly recommended!

Jay is very punctual and timely with his work, and delivers an excellent product. The unit is on the third floor of our house and the stairs are tight. He managed the difficulties of stocking the job and equipping the job with ease and gave us a beautifully updated kitchen, floors and backsplash, within one week. His work is immaculate, as well. He left no trace of the construction process anywhere in the house. I would highly recommend him on any tile project.

We had Jay tile our backsplash in the past, so this is the second job we've had him do for us. Jay is easy to work with, reliable, punctual, and a good communicator. He did a nice job finishing the fireplace at a fair price.

Jay was super punctual for both the estimate and when he performed the service. It was a very detailed / complex installation of tile on my kitchen backsplash that required close collaboration on the design and the execution. We spent over an hour working together to put together final design. He consulted with me throughout the install on any nuances for the installation and placement of tile. I am not suggesting for a straightforward installation of field tile this would be required--but my design was very intricate requiring some adjustments as he went. Installation was very clean and he was very good about keeping the work area in both the garage and the kitchen clean. The work was perfection & the collaboration on completion to my specification excellent! He started and completed the job in about 1 1/2 days. Would use him again in a heartbeat!

Jay Fishman of Exclusive Tile was a professional in all sense of the word. He showed up when he said he would. Did a thorough inspection of the work to be performed. Gave a detailed estimate cost wise. And called when he said he would to schedule the job. He showed up exactly on time the day the work was done. I am very pleased with the work performed. It looks great and Jay took great care to clean everything up when the job was complete. Besides that he is a very nice person.

He did a nice job of selecting and setting the individual tiles for a balance of shading. He worked quickly, but still with attention to detail. He made a point of soliciting input at certain junctures to make sure the look was as we intended. He did a reasonable job of clean up. He was friendly and pleasant to work with. The price was fair and mid-way between the estimate he gave us. We would definitely recommend him.
