Chris did a great job. First he power washed the deck and then he replaced about 10 boards on the deck floor and he replaced some of the railings. The pressure treated deck is getting old and needed some repairs. Chris and his son then stained my deck, and it looks great. Chris was very responsive. He called me back immediately and answered all my questions.

Excellent work -- prompt, clean, and professional. In addition to painting the house and trim, Chris replaced/repaired siding and installed new vinyl shutters. Extremely satisfied and would highly recommend.

Chris and his crew were fantastic, from beginning to end! Chris was very responsive to the request for an estimate. He noticed minor repairs and offered to incorporate them into the project. Despite the expanded scope, his bid was middle of the pack, so we thought we got great value from the job! He communicated very punctually via Angie's List email. Ortolani and Son did an excellent job of power washing, scraping and painting the barn exterior. They also repaired rotted wood areas as needed and prepped/painted two decks. They started the work on time and finished within one week using brush painting. Clean up of areas they are painting is done daily. We look forward to working with Chris again in the near future.

Chris has done work for us a few times and we've always been very happy with the process and outcome of any job he's done. His son who worked with him was great too. One job included overseeing the refurbishing of a property I wanted to sell, saving me much stress and did a great job improving it"s appearance and value. Chris could not have been better. Every step of the way he exceeded our expectations. He was on time every step of the way: from the first visit, to coming back a second time to go over the job in detail and every morning of the job. I could count on Chris showing up when he said he would, which is unusual in today's landscape. The quality of his work was meticulous. You could really see that he took pride in his work and was a master at his craft. When I asked him to fix rotting boards on the outside of our house, he not only explained everything to me easily, he took before/after pictures and made additional fixes to greatly reduce new wood rotting. He explained how the water would flow off the roof and hit this specific part of the house, causing rot. He was also able to fix the root cause. The painting itself was superb too. Chris and his son made our house look incredible. Seriously, hire these guys.

Excellent! Hired to paint exterior of house, a couple of sheds, a deck and also replaced a window and some rotted wood. Very professional and responsive throughout the entire job at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

Ortolani father and son were clearly experienced. Despite ice-cold water in the thoroughly-clogged gutters, they went all around the house cleaning out leaf litter and mud. They then cleaned up the driveway and other such areas from the muck that came out of the gutters. I used to clean the gutters myself. Now that I've seen it done right, I can't imagine ever doing it again!

The project went perfectly. I got quotes from three painters in the Chelmsford/Westford, MA area. We chose to go with Chris Ortolani & Sons. His proposal was the most thorough and his price was fair. Chris' bid included a detailed list exterior painting tasks and several minor carpentry repairs. We agreed on an August/September timeframe...subject to weather affecting the schedules of jobs ahead of mine. Chris came by two weeks in advance of our project to pressure wash the house, two decks and two sheds. He helped us find someone to replace our gutters and he oversaw that project as well. Chris and his son Robert did all the work. Towards the end of the project I asked Chris to include some additional trim painting work. They were able to add this work and maintain the schedule. The painting and repairs took a little over a week and was finished in September. We reviewed the project list at the end of the project to be sure nothing was left undone. I am very impressed with the quality of the work and their professionalism. I highly recommend Chris Ortolani & Sons for exterior painting and carpentry.

Chris Ortolani and Sons did a marvelous job painting our house and making improvements to our deck at a very reasonable price. As part of their painting prep they also made some carpentry repairs to the house and to the deck. They did a fine job painting the house and weatherproofing the deck. Chris and his team were always on time, told us what they were going to do and did it, and went the extra mile to do a very high quality and clean job. Can't say enough good things about their work, professionalism, and desire to please us as customers. We would certainly hire them again!

I was contacted by Chris very quickly after sending my message on Angie's List. I was reaching out on behalf of my sister to get her deck washed before I came to visit and stain it. Chris was accommodating and he made arrangements to get the job done well before I arrived. My sister was so pleased with his work she had him do some other pressure washing on her home, and she is getting an estimate for some additional work.

We were very pleased with the quality of work performed. The house, deck and porch were cleaned, scraped, primed and hand painted. All look terrific! We couldn't be more pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend to others.
